Rosa sat, seemingly reading a book on Arithmancy, and interesting subject to her. However, despite appearing completely absorbed by her studies, her thoughts are a million miles away in a daydream she has had many times.
She's standing in a field full of flowers and she's wearing a purple knee-length summer dress that flows like water. Her feet are bare as she runs and dances through the grasses. There's a purple flower braided into her blond hair and there's a brook running along side her.
For as long as she could remember, Rosa had that daydream, for no real reason at all, but she enjoyed it all the same. As her daydream continued, she heard someone enter the library, but didn't look up.

James had mixed feelings about the library. First off, he loved to read. Except, he would never admit this to his friends. He didn't quite need to be ragged on about actually liking to read. James would, when he could evade his friends for a moment or two, go to library and pick out a good book and read. This was one of those rare moments.
With is bag slung over his shoulder, he pushed open the door to library and walked to the back. He began to look through the books on a shelf about animagi, a subject he was very interested in, until he spotted her. "Well, well, well. Rosalynn Malfoy." he began to say with a wide grin spread across his face. "Now, what is a beautiful girl, such as yourself, doing inside reading on such a pretty day?" He took a seat across from her, leaning back in the chair with a slight air of cockiness.

Rosalynn looked up from her book when she heard a voice address her. Seeing the person in question, a smile crossed her features. It was James Potter. At his second statement a slight blush rose on her cheeks, but she shrugged, replying, "Well, the same thing could be asked of a handsome guy like yourself." Rosa closed the book she had been reading, marking her page, as she added, "I'm here just catching up on some reading." She gestured to the book she had just closed.

James lazily put his hands behind his head to support it as he leaned back. The sun was shining in through the window, which lit up all of the table's contents and also shone brightly into James's eyes. He turned his head a little so the sun wasn't directly in his eyes.
"Well, the same thing could be asked of a handsome guy like yourself." He loved how upfront she was. Most girls he knew would just blush, giggle, and then look at her feet. Rosie was different. "Well, yes I suppose it could be asked. But I just spent a good half of my morning out on the Quidditch Pitch, practicing some drills."
This was true of course. James loved Quidditch and practiced almost every day. "You know...you could come down to the pitch and watch me some time. I love a good audience." He grinned and winked at the girl.
He looked down at the book she had just closed and leaned over to pick it up. "Arithmancy, eh? I gotta say...not many people do I know who would come to the library on a day off to read a book on arithmancy." He smirked.

Rosa smiled a little at his reply about Quidditch drills. "Why am I not surprised at that?" She asked him rhetorically. A laugh escaped her lips when he invited her to watch him practice. "I just may take you up on that offer sometime." Rosa gave him a small smirk as she said that. "Ah, well it's one of my favorite subjects, and I had to catch up on the reading. Though, at this point, I'm past where we had to read to." Rosa shrugged, watching the guy across from her.

James grinned and shrugged at the girl. He realized that he was widely known at the school for his quidditch skills, but mostly when he talked to girls these skills weren't brought up. "You should, luv. You know, I could even take you around the pitch on my broom." He loved having girls coming down to the pitch to watch him, which was most of the time.
"Favorite subject?" He asked as he raised his feet up and put them on the table. "Well, I never thought I would find a girl that reminded me so much of my Aunt Hermione." He grinned to himself, realizing how mad his aunt would be if she found out he said that. "You must be a fast reader if you're already past where you had to read to."

Rosalynn couldn't help but laugh, automatically thinking of the other meaning that statement could have. "That might be fun." She rolled her eyes as he put his feet up on the table, but was still smiling slightly. Absently, she started twirling a piece of blonde hair around her fingers as he spoke.
"My dad might kill you if he hears you comparing me to Hermione Weasley." Rosa commented shrugging, "But I don't get why he still holds onto that grudge." She laughed slightly again, adding "Yeah, I've been told I'm a fast reader."

James chuckled at her response to his comment. "Well it looks as though someone has their mind in the gutter." He raised his eyebrows up at her with a grin. Leaning back and putting his hands behind his head, he sighed, closing his eyes and just relaxing for a moment. He was quite tired from being out on the pitch and practicing as hard as he had. He peeked over at her and noticed she had begun twirling her hair with her fingers. My, my, isn't she a flirt?
"My dad might kill you if he hears you comparing me to Hermione Weasley." "He could try, luv." James yawned, and then grinned at his own comment. "And I could think of a few reasons as to why he still holds a grudge...but we won't go into those now." He readjusted himself in his seat so the sunlight was hitting his chest and warming him up.

"Only a little." Rosa replied, her smile widening slightly. She couldn't help but wonder what her father would do if he had heard that comment, but shook the thought mentally out of her head. A giggle passed her lips when she saw him adjust himself. "You don't happen to be a cat person, do you?" James really had reminded her of a cat when he had moved to be warmed up by the sun.
