Getting Pass The Exterior [open]

[Frank Longbottom]

Frank Longbottom walked slowly down the corridors of the fifth floor. It was completely empty except for him... And he liked it that way. His eyes darted around the corridors as he walked, waiting for somebody to appear. He had the oddest feeling that somebody was there with him. He glanced around completely them shook his head and let the thought slide. "Cool it Frank..." He told himself over and over again. But he couldnt help but be a little paranoid. He had his summer in America to thank for that.

He was an odd kid. He could even admit it to himself. A Longbottom.... But he certainly didnt act like one... Or look like one. He twirled his piercing around with his tongue and slightly moved his hair out his face. He looked around then started singing a song by his favorite band... one he discovered in America. "Im sitting in a room, made up of only big white walls and in the halls... There's people looking through--" He stopped as he heard a door open and his piercing blue eyes shifted in the direction of the sound of the door and he hardened his expression. He look around and saw something he certainly didnt expect to see...

Lilith was laughing and having a fun time with her roommates just telling stories. They were leaving and again she had forgotten her bag. She breathed a moment and said she would catch up with her friends later. She did this usually she smiled and walked into her common room once more and found her bag. By the corner she was doing her work in. She started singing songs she secretly knew but didn't let her parents know. She cleaned up her supplies and slung her bag over her left shoulder.

She looked over and smiled she started to dance and just rock out with herself something she had been doing as she was happy the last few days playing in the rain. She inhaled and exhaled and waited for the door to open. When it did she finished pulling her black hair up in a ponytail and laughed and she spun around playing air guitar. She did this as she came out of her common room and stopped in mid cord as she say a boy she lowered her hands and put them behind her back and blushed a bit. " Um sorry I thought I was the only one up here."

She blushed some more and bit her lip as she looked the boy over and say his appearance she thought he looked pretty hot. but she wasn't going to say anything. her attention was brought back when the boy said something.

[Frank Longbottom]

Frank smiled slightly then covered his face with his hair. He pulled himself together then moves his hair. "Never time alone..." He said softly to himself. He twirled one of his lip rings around a little then shook his head. "Its fine. I was for a while." He said adding venom to his words. He turned and walked towards her. "Whats that you were singing? American?" He asked firmly. He smirked slightly at her. "Frank Longbottom." He said putting his hand out to shake hers.

He checked her out a little and the first thing he noticed were her perfect pair of dimples. Looking at them made him smile. He didnt even notice how much she instantly softened his expression. He hardly ever showed this side of himself. The only person that ever saw if was his little sister. "Your name is....?" He said nicer than before.

Lilith couldn't help but smile a little at Frank He seemed kind of cold at first and than softer as he spoke. She kind of got chills as she watched him play with his snake bites. She listened to both of his questions and nodded a little. " Yeah it was American one of my favorite bands you recognized it?" Lilith asked surprised. She knew than most kids here knew the muggle music and listened to many times but she had never actually talked about it with another student. Which was kind of nice for a change. She bit her lip a little and honestly was surprised he didn't look anything like a longbottom. But she knew never to judge someone by appearance but by who they were.

She shook his hand and smiled more now. " I'm Lilith. Lilith Snape. It's a pleasure to meet you Frank. I know you must not be all to thrilled about me interrupting you but sadly enough You are now stuck with it. My brother calls me his annoying little tag along some days. I'm sorry I'm talking to much I do that sometimes when I'm nervous you can just tell me to shut up really I don't mind." She blushed and made herself shut up.

[Frank Longbottom]

Frank shrugged. "A little. I spent the summer in America. Had my own flat out there." He grinned proudly. "But... I doubt that they call them flats in America..." He said, a little defeated. He watched her a little as she bit at her lip and he smiled. Oddly, he found it to be a cute habit of hers.

"I'm Lilith. Lilith Snape. It's a pleasure to meet you Frank. I know you must not be all to thrilled about me interrupting you but sadly enough You are now stuck with it. My brother calls me his annoying little tag along some days. I'm sorry I'm talking to much I do that sometimes when I'm nervous you can just tell me to shut up really I don't mind."

He frowned. "Snape?" Then he laughed. "Funny... My dad's bogart is a guy named Snape... An old Professor here." He shook his head. "Another reason to call him pathetic I guess..." He said vemously. He thought for a moment and tried to recall all that she'd said. "Oh.... and why are you nervous? If you dont mind me asking..." He asked casually. He played around with his piercings as he waited for her answer.

She smiled a bit her dad did seem to have that reputation around hogwarts. She smiled and nodded and bit as she giggled. " Yeah My dad used to teach here and that's cute about your dad probably had him as a teacher. sadly I agree with your dad if I had a Bogart he would be like my dad. Nothing pathetic about that. I mean i guess if you think so Kay but i find it pretty cool but than again I am a dork." She smiled again as she looked defeated and she added, " I know what you mean I think they call them condo's out there. I'm not really sure to be perfectly honest." She couldn't help but ask him if his piercings hurt ever.

" well see I'm nervous cause I don't have what you call the greatest history with guys around this school my brother tends to try and kill them which makes it very hard to get a word in a conversation about the ball and just as friends. I'm afraid that if i get close to anybody my over protective brother will get in the way . I have a question. your lip did it hurt when you got it done? I told you I ramble I'll shush now...." She smirked a bit and looked down as she just realized that they were walking. To no where just walking in general.

[Frank Longbottom]

Frank shook his head. "My dad's a dork. He was a dork all throughout Hogwarts. 'Till his 6th year when he decided to beat Voldemort ass with Harry Potter." He shrugged. "Didnt impress me much though." He thought. "What did your dad teach?"

He watched her as she looked at his piercings. He laughed a little. "No. They didnt hurt at all." He lifted his hand and gently touched her lip. "You should get some. They'd look great on you. I'd take you to get them if you'd like... or I can do them myself." He proposed. He chuckled lightly. "But of course.... You look great already." His bright blue eyes looked into her eyes and he smiled.

"And you shouldnt be nervous. Your brother must be Blair. WE're in the same house... Im sure he'd rather another Gryffindor talking to his little sister.... I mean... I have a little sister myself. I know how protective guys can be... But I'd prefer her to date a Lion... or an Eagle." He said smiling sincerely.

Lilith looked over at him and smiled a bit. She closed her eyes a bit and smiled and couldn't help but laugh a little. She shook her head and looked over at Frank with the look in her eyes. " Mr. Frank I must hand it to you from what I have heard you got game. I think you you should do it can we um. do it now??? Please? I am good when it comes to stuff like that I swear. My dad he taught potions but wanted to teach DADA he had a talent with potions. He wasn't the easiest person to get along with. though he has mellowed out over the years he isn't so mean." She smiled and closed her eyes a bit

" But Frank no one is ever proud of their parents ever. The most we can do is make a name for ourselves. if that makes sense. You know my brother well since you are a gryffindor you are already most likely on his good side. She looked over at him and smiled back. " Ah is that a smile I see. You should show that more often you look very nice when you smile. I think Eagles are the ones you always have to watch out for. Cause no matter how sweet and quiet we seem. We are also masterminds of many things trouble making being a very well known also we tend to be able to sneak without being seen at all. She laughed some and moved her hair out of her face.

Frank smiled more and looked to the ground to hide it. "I dont have game. I just.... say whats on my mind. Thats one thing you'll find interesting about me... I always speak my mind." He said softly. He looked around slightly. "I'd be happy to do it now... But I dont have my stuff with me. Im sorry Lilith." He said looking sadly at her. "I can have my dad floo it here next time he goes home."

He laughed slightly. "Occasionally.... I do smile." He sighed. "Blair's cool. He's wierd but then again... Who isnt wierd? And that exactly what make him Blair Snape." He thought about what she said about her father. "By the way. Potions is about the only class I love." He said shyly. "Wierd. But hey... We all have our moments."

Lilith smiled a bit and said. " that's okay maybe next time it's cool. I like people who speak their mind though. I am not so fond of people who have thoughts but don't express them. I much rather have a conversation with meaning than just saying what the other wants to hear. I dunno I just don't like when there isn't anything to talk about I guess. Nothing is wrong with potions I absolutely adore potions as well. I like making something out of nothing." She smiled a bit and closed her dark brown memorizing eyes. For once she was the one looking away and not the other way around.

She smiled at what Frank was saying. " weird moments are what makes the world fun though. I mean if everything was normal we would all just get really board really fast. It's boring not to be weird I mean everyone is weird in a different way right. It is fun to be different because you stick out in a different way. Like me and my family I hold the appearance but according to most of my friends I am not a Snape. I am actually kind of confused about their explanations but I just go with it." Lilith laughed and looked over at Frank.

" Frank you should smile you could be a real heart breaker with your smile. Make a lot of girls want to be your girl. I think we should make you smiling a regular thing. I know you probably don't want to hear this but your eyes are really captivating. Your snake bites are really cool as well. You stand out completely against the crowd I think that is really really cool. Dare to be different."

[Frank Longbottom]

Frank smiled at Lilith and looked down as he walked in silence. He walked a bit longer not saying anything in response. He was amazed at how much one girl had gotten him to smile. But then again... he'd never seen any girl that looked like she did.

She's effing beautiful... He thought to himself.

Frank sighed slightly then looked up at her. "I wouldnt want to be a heartbreaker... I know how it feels." He said seriously, looking forward. He grinned slightly and playfully shoved her a little. "But I'd smile for you anyday." He said softly. Just loud enough for her to hear.

He laughed. "And standing out is what I aim to do. My first year here... I was teased forever about how much I was like my dad. I got most of my physical traits from my mum.... but for some odd reason... everybody could tell I was a bloody Longbottom..." He pretended to trip over his own foot then grinned up at her. "Well... Now I get it. Just as clumsy as my dad..." He shrugged. "So... My second year... I pierced myself and dyed my hair. Plus I went to America and made the wierdest friends. They influenced my style of dress now." He said motioning to his clothes.

Lilith blushed a bit now and slowly turned redder by the second. She looked down at her hands and bit her lip. She laughed a bit and listened to him. " Well I like the way you dress and how you don't look like anyone here. In my eyes it's pretty cool clumsy is fun thought I am but I laugh at myself a lot. I'm not really what you'd call a Snape family member by definition. But shhhh my dad thinks I am. "

Lilith smiled and offered her hand to Frank. She was thinking that maybe she would ask him to the ball coming up but she wasn't sure he was free so she would talk to him a little more before she risked rejection again. " Well Good your smile is worth anything. Seriously smiling is worth more than the world to me it is anyway. Plus it brightens up your face a lot. "

She smiled even more and closed her eyes some. She listened to him say he had been hurt before and she knew the feeling as well. She looked down and came right out with it. " So I take it with your very different look you probably have a special girl huh?" She was kind of hoping he would say no. But at the same time wanted him to say yes. But only because she was afraid he wasn't really seeing her as 'date' material she waited a moment and listened for him to say something.

[Frank Longbottom]

Frank slipped his hand into hers and smiled. "There's no special girl in the life of Frank Longbottom... I just... Havent found the right person I guess. But I bet there is that one special person in your life. Maybe a list of guys running after you... " He laughed a little. "And my smile is only worth something when its dedicated to you." He said softly.

Frank felt his face growing hot so he looked down, letting his hair fall over his face. He was shocked. He couldnt believe that this girl had made him - Frank Longbottom, Mr. No Emotion- blush. He smiled a little and softly started singing to himself. "I don't mean to run, But every time you come around i feel more alive than ever. And i guess it's too much, Maybe we're too young and i don't even know what's real...But i know i've never wanted anything so bad, I've never wanted anyone so bad...." He sighed and looked up at Lilith. Then he leaned over and kissed her cheek softly.

Lilith was Blushing like mad as Frank Sang to her and felt his lips on her cheek. She bit her lip some and smiled as she looked at him. She was glad he didn't have anyone. She shook her head side to side and laughed. "I don't Frank. No guy really takes much interest once they find out I'm a Snape. I Guess I can't fully blame them."

She looked down and felt hurt about how so many people turned her away because of her father. She gently squeezed Franks hands and could tell she was probably shaking now. But she stood up straight and some how won the war with herself. She closed her eyes quick and stood in front of Frank. She smiled and asked. " Frank I know it's kind of short notice and if you weren't going to go I understand that too. But would you like to go to the um ball with me?

Lilith was scared truthfully and even worse she didn't know what he totally thought of her and her little girl image when she got nervous. She waited a moment and figured he seemed interested in her and maybe they would say yes. If he did she was going to jump around like a little girl. She knew that she didn't want to get hurt but she would ask and if they just stayed friends okay but she had to admit she was very interested in Frank.

She came out of her thoughts as Frank started to talk. Surprisingly she hadn't let go of his hand yet. She got soft butterflies when she realized that.

Frank smiled then pulled Lilith into a hug. "I'd love to go with you to the Snow Ball." He stopped hugging her then looked at her. "I wasnt going to go... But for you... I'll go." He said softly. He was now blushing a bit more and couldnt stop smiling. It was wierd. He thought about his little sister's reaction when he showed up with Lilith Snape on his arm.

She'd probably faint from the shock of me even showing up to a school production... He thought to himself.

"I dont usually go to... er... school functions... Not really my scene. But since I'll be going with you... Im sure it'll be funner than any club or party I've been to." He said laughing a little. "Thanks for asking me Lilith."
