Lilith just couldn't sleep she didn't really understand why either. She was doing fine in school. She had amazing friends; She had a relatively easy life. She looked down and saw she was in her pj's she grabbed a blue sweatshirt and pulled it onto her body. She hid her wand in the big front pocket and she put her hair up into a loose ponytail. Some of her black hair falling into her face over her deep brown eyes. She left the common room and walked into the hallway. She was careful not to draw any attention to herself. She was like her father in that way very easy to get around without being heard or seen until she chose.
She made it to where she wanted to be. The closet place to the stars in the castle. Without a broom she didn't mind brooms she just wasn’t a quidditch player ever would be. She wrapped her arms around herself. It was chilly outside very chilly but she really didn't care. Something that she had now understood her brothers. Was that the Snape name instantly labeled her brothers and herself quiet outcasts or misunderstood human beings. She chuckled to herself as she thought about it.
She jumped up on the sill so she could just see the dark sky and smiled as she watched them sparkle. She looked down and for some reason was just still laughing. As she remembered her friends and weird family memories and how her older brother Blair always said she was an irritant. But in another way just wished she was able to stop being the wiredo she was and be able to hang out with all of her friends and be her cooky self. When she came out of her thoughts her laughed dimmed to a light chuckle. She leaned and looked out and to herself she said, " On day.... One day I’ll shine just as bright as the stars...."
She heard someone clear their throat and startled her. She jumped down and backed up to the wall trying to see the being. But couldn't make out who was there. She pressed herself against the wall more and asked shakily," Um who’s there..? "

Faith lie in bed, restless and staring at the ceiling with her hand on her forehead. She took a deep breath in and then exhaled, followed by standing up out of bed to find her hoodie. She pulled it off of the ground somewhere and slipped it over top of her pajama shirts, and then also took her wand and grasped it in her hand. Her hair was still down, but long and fine enough that when she stood from her lying position it rolled out nice and evenly. Her pajama bottoms were quite warm and they were black with hearts and other symbols on them. She walked down the halls in somewhat of a daze, heading toward the astronomy tower.
She walked up the long staircases and listened to her stomach growl, but she was used to it. In fact, Faith found it extremely difficult to eat every day. She was so used to being starved at home. She thought of her place and her friends that lived next to her. They didn't know where she was except for a boarding school out of the United States. The thought saddened Faith, but she was thankful to be here and away from her mother.
She headed farther and farther up the stairs, the place was dead and abandoned. Cold floor hit her bare feet, even harder when she hit the astronomy tower. She walked out onto it and saw that she had frightened another student. Faith pulled out her wand and pointed it outwards.
"Lumos," she whispered and at the same time the tip of her wand began to flow. She saw a girl standing before her in which she was not familiar with. "I'm sorry," Faith said, tucking her dark brown hair behind her ear and then crossing her arms, but still keeping her wand arm extended so she could see the girl. "I didn't think anyone would be out here..." |

Lily's Heart beat about a billion miles a minuet. She regained her own breath as she listened to the girl speak. She regained herself and smiled to herself. " Oh no worries... I'm sorry I didn't think anyone liked being up here at night. I don't mind you just scared the life out of me for a second. But it's fine it’s just a good place to think. Oh I'm Lilith By the way. Lilith Snape but you can call me lily if you like. Many people tend to."
Lilith closed her eyes moment thinking about how stupid she probably sounded. Like a rambling idiot about now. She looked at the girl and thought that she looked young younger than she did. She was going to ask her what year she was in. But she wasn't going to push it until the girl answered her. She pushed some of her black hair out of her face. But knew it would just fall back. She heard an out of place noise. She looked around and then at the girl in front of her. Lilith realized it was her stomach and she thought about it and thought she was getting hungry as well maybe the girl would come steal food with her later.
Lilith knew she was probably already scaring the girl. But she also knew that there was no way that Lilith would be getting back to sleep anytime soon. She started to remember her first year when her brother and her would sneak around all the time. Until they both met new people and started growing farther apart. She rarely talked to her family anymore she felt guilty. But her dark eyes moved fast and met the girls eyes but she shield her eyes so this time she didn't loose her eyesight. The girl began to speak.

Faith grinned as Lilith spoke to her... Faith felt bad that she had scared the girl... kind of... she also thought it was pretty funny. Faith walked out a little further and gazed up at the stars as the girl introduced herself, and when she was finished Faith said,
"Nice to meet ya, Lily," she said. "I'm Faith Lehane, third year Slytherin." Faith had decided that she would fully introduce herself so that they could save time and energy on other stuff. "How 'bout you?" she asked Lily, reffering to her house and year. Faith tapped out her wand light and could still see the girl fairly well with just the light from the bright, bright stars.
She stepped down from a bench she was kneeling on and walked about in circles, observing the sky around her and feeling the cool breeze. The wind chilled her face and she shivered slightly, and her feet became numb to the ground. It wasn't anything she wasn't used to though. She ran around barefoot since the age of two. |

Lilith smiled at the girl. She was young and shouldn't be out of bed this late especially if there were classes the following morning. She thought to herself about her own third year she never slept she was always up late reading writing what ever it was she felt was decent for her to do that night. She thought it was funny Lilith looked at faith and said. "I'm fifth year ravenclaw. Your name is a very pretty one. Slytherin hmmm that's odd you struck me as a witty ravenclaw. Shows how much I pay attention."
She smiled a little and looked at the stars and went and laid on the bench and looked up at the stars she started drifting in and out of her own thoughts. She smiled as she asked. " Well Miss Faith what brings you to the tower this late on a cold night?"
She sat up and leaned against the wall and brought her knees up to her chest and rested her chin trying to keep conversation she was all for making new friends. She was judging but she tried very hard to be anything but her mother. Her father she would admit wasn't always the nicest man but she respected him none the less she knew her place and did as she was told most of the time. But an adventure always seemed to intriguing for her to pass up. Her attention was on Faith as she began to speak.

Faith barely made eye contact with the girl, but was still friendly when she spoke to the girl. Her arms were crossed and she gazed up at the stars. Faith laughed when she answered Lilith.
"Thank you," Faith said to Lilith for saying her name was pretty. "And yeah, I wouldn't be a very good Ravenclaw, I'm not that smart and I don't pay attention that well... or do my homework." Faith gave Lilith a sheepish grin and actually looked at her this time. "Well... Faith started. "I just couldn't sleep. I can never really sleep all that well. Never really could. Maybe it's because I haven't eaten in a couple of days and I'm finally getting hungry?" Faith directed that last thing she said more as if she was asking herself, but she snickered.
"So... What brings you out here so late yourself?" she asked, kicking the heel of her foot against the ground and then gazing at it as she did so. |

Lilith listened intently to Faith and shook her head. She made brief eye contact with the girl and than it was lost. She breathed softly and smiled at Faith's comments. She was also trying to slow her mind just a bit. She heard Faith's question and wished she hadn't. She sat up and looked at the ground as she lowered her knees. Her eyes could tell had saddened from their normal light. But how would she explain herself without talking too much.
She looked over at faith and sighed. " Honestly I don't really know. My mind goes a million miles a second sometimes-asking question after question and not finding the answers it wants. Sounds exceedingly stupid but that's a curse most ravenclaws have."
She forced out a smile and a soft laugh though she knew she didn't mean it. She truly hated the nights her mind went off at any time and lately it did it every chance it could get. She looked up and asked faith. " Why haven't you eaten in so long that's really not that healthy. Sorry.... But it's not."

Faith kept staring at her foot as she continued to hit her heel against the ground. Surprisingly, she listened carefully to Lilith which was strange because she usually had trouble paying attention to things.
"It's not stupid..." she said as she took a seat on another bench and looked back up at the stars once more. "At least I wouldn't think... I wouldn't really know, I guess." As she stared at the sky, she thought about how she was glad to be in Slytherin. It suited her quite well, even though a lot of the times she seemed way too friendly to be in the house. And now, from what Lilith had just said about Ravenclaw, she was really glad that she hadn't been sorted there. Even though that would probably be the last house she would ever get sorted into. Then, in response to Lilith's other question, Faith replied,
"I'm never really hungry. I guess growing up I was sort of trained to not eat. The only time I was really fed from age 2 to age 9 was when I went over to my neighbors hehe." There was a pause. "I finally learned to cook, but by then I just never really had an appetite..." |

Lilith looked at Faith but didn't look her in the eyes she had been told it made people uncomfortable. So she tried to respect everyone's thoughts. She nodded and wouldn't address that subject again. She looked up at the stars and the cool breeze sting her cheeks and turns them a rosy red. " Yea. That makes sense to me. I know what you mean. I mean I haven't been what you have been doing but I haven't eaten in a while. How about we eat a little now I mean why make yourself go hungry when with a simple wave you can have any sort of food. Right?"
Lilith tried to sound smart but knew she wasn't doing the greatest. Though she was a ravenclaw she didn't always act like it. That made her smirk again at the thought of how she had the smarts but rarely showed them. She shrugged it off as she looked up at the peaceful sky only to come back when Faith started to say something.

Faith grinned at Lilith and leaned back on the bench. She pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her semi-warm hands around her cold feet and it felt like the warmth was actually burning at her feet. She giggled to herself when she realized that she was having an ADD moment. She came out of it and still managed to hear everything Lilith said.
"We can eat now if you'd like," she said in response to her suggestion. "What do you like?"

Lilith looked at faith and smiled. " I'm not at all picky about eating you go a head and pick but I must say Butter beer or fire whiskey. I know you are probably young but I started my first year and if you want you can take some of it if you want." Lilith smiled at went and sat next to faith.
"I am going to sound like a hypocrite but you shouldn't make these late night trips a habit trust me they will be your down fall when you are older. It makes you very tired once you get to sleep than you never want to get up." Lilith spoke as she waved her wand and butter beer appeared in front of them and a bottle of firewhiskey lilith put her hand out in mid air and grabbed a shot glass. She smirked and looked over at Faith. " Cool trick huh?" Lilith laughed a little.
