Rosalynn skipped down the hall barefoot, holding her heels in her hand. She was already late for the ball, so she really wasn’t going to rush to try and get there. Her blond hair was slightly wavy and her eyes were outlined in black. She was wearing a black lacy empire dress that reached her knees and had a thin white piece of lace around the middle. Reaching the Great Hall, Rosa slipped on her simple black two inch heels. Entering the hall she found the ball already in full swing. Walking over to an empty table, she sat and just watched the dancing couples. She had a feeling this might be a rather boring night, for her at least.   |

Scorpius didn't like to go to dances as they were too boring for him but he felt as if he had to go to this one for a wierd reason.He walking in to the Hall in his tuxedo and looked at all the pathetic people dancing.He was very late but who really cares.He wasvery lucky that he has missed the Head Boy and Girl's speech as he really hated speeches.

Looking around and bored out of her mind, Rosa spotted her older brother Scorpius and smirked as she walked over to him. "Hello Scorpius." She said, smiling sweetly at him. "I'm surprised you came, you hate balls and as far as I know, you don't have a date to drag you." Now her sweet smile was replaced by an innocent one as she waited for a response. Rosa knew he didn't have a date and she was bored, those two things put together equaled goading Scorpius.

He knew that his sister was right."Well yeah I suppose that is true.How about you ?Have you got a date ?"He didn't want his sister to be with a guy or she would probably hurt him especially if he hurt his little sister.He was about to go to the drinks table when he decided to ask Rosie if she wanted a drink."Rosie do you want a drink because I'm going to get one."

"Unfortunately no..." Rosa sighed, allowing her goading to leave with his question. Next moment she nearly smacked herself in the forehead, her response might get her a lecture on big, bad evil boys. Blech "Sure." Quickly she wondered if the punch or anything was spiked but figured nobody would be stupid enough to actually do that at the dance. But Rosa really wasn't positive, she knew a few guys that might be that stupid.

He walked to get the drink but as he walked there he looked at his sister when she slapped her forehead.He walked back and said to her"What did you punch yourself.You probably think that I will give you a lecture on how evil boys are like normal big brothers do.I'm your brother and I don't do that sort of thing."He passed her the punch and carried on saying."Rose.There is only one thing that I want to say and that is that the guys in Hogwarts are stupid for not wanting to go to the dance with a pretty girl like you.I'm not saying that just because i'm your brother.

Rosa couldn't help but laugh at her brother's response to her hitting herself in her forehead. "Thanks Scorpius." She said, referring to both the drink and the comment about the guys in Hogwarts. "Well, since there's no big lecture, I guess that I can comment; I think Luce's planning on setting me up with someone, I don't remember who though. Don't think she's having much luck with it." Rosa shrugged, taking a sip of her punch.

Since you and I don't have a date, and even though I don't like this sort of thing.Do you want to dance with me. I understand if you don't. I was just wondering as you seem to just be standing while everyone else is dancing."

She punched him lightly in the shoulder. “Oh shut up.” But she was also kind of laughing. Rosa smiled at her big brother as he offered to dance with her. “Seeing as that will probably be my only offer tonight, I would love to.” She told him, putting down her drink on one of the nearby tables. He saw that his sister had put the drink on a nearby table and so he did the same."Well okay then so what do we do first?"He said in a jokliy way."Seriously I am not joking I really don'y know how to dance can you teach me in about 30 seconds."As he spoke to his sister he heard a very slow and a romantic song."Not yet Rosie this song is to romantic for me."He wished that he hadn't asked his sister to dance with him.

Rosa laughed and nodded, "Yeah, I'd have to agree with that one." The song was way too lovey-dovey for her tastes. "So, how's life?" She asked randomly, dropping into a chair at the table where her drink sat. Picking up the drink again, she took a sip, looking up at Scorpius. "Any girls I should know about?" Rosa made it her business to know any girls in her brother's life.

"Come on Scorpius, like I would tell that..." Rosa paused trying to think of the right word. "Like I would tell dad." She looked imploringly at her older brother before adding. "I never told him about her, I never let anything that might've hinted at it slip. You know I would never tell him. Plus, I'm a girl and I might be able to help out with how to approach said girl." She looked at him, waiting for an answer as she sipped on her drink.

He knew that it wasn't Rosalynn's fault about his last girlfriend but he just couldn't let it go."Yeah I suppose so. I just don't want to tell you and it's not because you my sister.Ok it is because you are my sister.There are somethings that I can't say around you as your too young."He loved to say that Rosalynn was too young to find things out especially when she wanted to know things.

"Dude, I'm fourteen, you're only two years older than me. Come on." She crossed both her arms and her legs as she continued. "I swear I won't even tell Luce anything you say if you tell me not to.
