Faith was wearing a pair of jeans, surprisingly without holes. She also had on a black vest with red and white hearts on it, then a black thermal long sleeved shirt underneath that. Her hair was down, and in her natural waves, falling just to her chest. Faith also had eyeliner and mascara applied, but it wasn't on heavily; just enough to tell it was there and bring out here dark, chocolate brown eyes.
It was really cold and snowy outside and today was a day where the students would make a trip to Hogsmeade. Faith really loved it there, and now she was a third year so she could finally go. She smiled and wrapped a red scarf around her neck, it wasn't super huge, but it could keep her more warm if she wanted. Faith looked around the crowd of people to see if she knew anybody, but Faith wasn't the real popular girl at school. Her heart sank as she stood there alone. |

Clad in trainers, warm pants and her "pride of the Irish" sweatshirt, Katherine Finnigan jogged up the stairs from her Hufflepuff common room. Her money was securely tucked away in her pocket as she headed for the Entrance Hall. It was a Hogsmeade weekend so Kat was looking forward to picking up a few things from a couple of her favourite shops. She was a sucker for Honeydukes sweets and the odd little gag from Zonko's. Though she far preferred to shop in the Weasleys' shop for tricks and pranks, Zonko's always did suffice while in Hogsmeade.
The Entrance Hall was full of chattering students all grouped together with their friends. Kat noticed a couple of her friends but they all seemed in a pretty deep conversation so she didn't want to disturb them. Instead, she headed over toward the nearest wall to wait for the Deputy headmistress and caretaker to let them all leave for the little town. As she leaned herself back against the wall, she glanced over at the student standing closest and, in a friendly tone, said, "It's a bit cold out today, innit?" |

Faith was looking around at the students again, searching for someone. She crossed her arms and stood on her toes to peer over some of them. She heard someone talking and slowly turned her head to see a girl leaning up against the wall. Once Faith realized that the girl was in fact talking to her, she smiled and perked up a little bit.
"Yeah! It is!" she said as she turned her body and took a long step foward to the girl. "I'm pretty excited to be going to Hogsmeade today, how about you?" Faith had no problem speaking with other people so the situation for her was not at all awkward. As a child, Faith would always speak to anyone she could, and got quite confused when people didn't answer her back. She was a pesky little child, and it's kind of hung with her. |

A normally friendly person, just like her house stereotype, Katherine rather enjoyed making new friends. Sometimes she was shy and apprehensive about talking to random people, only because it had gotten her into trouble before, but she didn't really think this girl looked like the type that would hex anyone just for trying to start conversation. And, in fact, she hadn't...which was a very pleasant thing.
"Absolutely! I always look forward to Hogsmeade weekends. It's a chance to get out and about. Any shop you look forward to stopping into?" asked Kat with a warm smile. As the words left her mouth, she came to a sudden realization. Mentally kicking herself, she held out her hand and introduced, "Oh, and my name's Katherine Finnigan by the way. Always nice to know a name so you're not just talking to some random stranger or anything like that." |

Faith smiled as she looked at the girl and listened to her talk. She was sort of relieved that she had found some kind of company instead of looking like a loner. Faith came in a little bit closer so she could hear better.
"Oh! Hehe, Faith giggled, taking Katherine's hand in her hand, then shaking it. "Nice to meet you, Katherine! I'm Faith Lehane." Faith then broke from the handshake and then crossed her arms. She then thought about the shops she liked in Hogsmeade. "Well I love candy and the joke shops, so 5 guesses to which stores those are... and then I like the Three Broomsticks too!!" Faith had a very high metabolism so nearly almost everything she said when she was in a good mood sounded so cheery. Sometimes people hated her a little for that. "So, what about you? You lookin' foward to anythin'?" |
