In The Lions' Den[open]

[Evelyn Thomas]

Evelyn sat in the common room reading a book. She glanced up slightly and looked around. Nobody else was in the common room and she was bored out her mind. She sighed deeply and went back to her book. She stretched out her legs on the huge couch in front of the fire. Evie was completely comfortable today. She walked around all day in jeans and a tank top. In was pretty warm in the common room and she wanted to stay cool. She sighed again and looked at the potrait hole, begging for somebody to come through. When nobody came through, she groaned and looked at the stairs hoping for somebody to come down the stairs. "Damnit." She muttered before going back to her book.

[Cooper Weasley]

Cooper strolled into the common room, his hands tucked away in his pocket. He was randomly whistling a cheery little tune. Coop had his Hogwarts clothes on. His tie was loose on his neck, his white shirt sleeves were rolled up. The sweater had been taking off awhile go, that he had left sitting on his bed. When he entered the common room, he was happy to see a familiar face sitting near the fire.

Cooper smirked, his trademark smirk. He stopped whistling and approached Evelyn from behind. He stuck his head next to her ear, "What are we reading, love?" he whispered. Coop often times called girls, love or pet. He thought that they liked that sort of thing, most of them did. He usually got a positive response so, it continued on.

[Evelyn Thomas]

Not lifting her eyes from her book, Evelyn giggled. "Hmm... Cooper Weasley..." She purred. "Im reading a stupid muggle book... But now that soomeone is here... I wont be bored out of my mind." She smiled and turned to look at him. "How are you today Mr. Weasley?" She asked. "How's school going for you so far?" She saw the way he wore his uniform and smirked. "Looks like you're pretty comfortable." She said.

[Cooper Weasley]

A giggle. How is that every time I talk to a girl, she giggles? Cooper thought to himself. It was true too, every girl - except maybe Lizzie - would giggle. It must be because he was just so funny and flirty. "Hm, a stupid muggle book. Well, now that I'm around it won't be so boring," he said with his smirk. "Plus, I am never boring. I like to keep things interesting."

Coop walked around the couch and sat down next to Evie. "Same old, same old." He stretched out his legs onto the table in front of them and stretched his hands out, resting them behind his head. "Well, I can't learn if I'm not comfortable. It was a bit warm today in a few classrooms." he said with a shrug. He looked like this most of the time; the messy hair, loose tie, rolled up sleeves, and sweater-less. Cooper just liked being comfortable, it kept him - well, himself.

Evie shrugged. "You're kinda boring now..." She joked. She continued to read her book as he made his way over to the couch. She moved her legs before he sat down. "Dont smash my legs. I kinda need them." She looked up from her book and glanced at the door. She looked over at him and nodded. "It is a bit warm today. And you cant be too comfortable, you're mind will fall asleep. Dont wanna get too stupid in class." She laughed. "Hey where has Lizzie been? I havent seen her around the castle much these days... How is she?"

[Cooper Weasley]

Coop looked at her, with raised eyebrows, "Boring now? Oh, I'll make interesting, you'll see." He flashed her his trademark smirk, she wanted interesting she'd get it soon enough.

"Oh don't worry love, I wouldn't smash your legs. You're just too darn pretty to hurt," he said, using a little flattery. Where has Lizzie been? Coop shrugged at the question. "Oh, knowing Lizzie she's hiding out in the library, or in her common room. I haven't really seen her lately either. I hope she's OK."

Cooper is known to worry about his siblings, especially Lizzie. He was closest to Lizzie then the other two. Naturally, he had a extreme sense for the need to protect her. Coop probably was a little over-protective of both his sisters, Lizzie more so.

Evie put her finger on the page and closed the book. She looked up at Cooper. "Oh really? And how do plan on doing that?" She asked curiously. She grinned at him before opening her book again.

"She needs to come around. Kat and I are planning a huge thing with everyone and the families. You know... The Thomas', The Finnigans, The Weasleys, The Longbottoms, The Potters, serveral of The Blacks.... The whole bunch. You guys have to be there. It'll be over the next break... But we need some help..." She said glancing up at him.

[Katie]

"Godric." James said to the Fat Lady who guarded the Gryffindor Common room. With a slow nod, she opened the portrait so James could make his way inside. He carried his jacket over his shoulder with two fingers, and kept his other hand inside his pocket.

To most people, finding two of your cousins from different families sitting on the couch at the same time may be an odd occurrence, but to James, it was just another day. He was constantly surrounded by cousins and family. "Hey guys." he said with a slight nod up at the both of them. He took a seat and looked at the two with a curious look. "What's up?"

[Evelyn Thomas]

Evie glanced up at the potrait hole and looked back down. Then she looked up and flicked her wand at James causing him to fly into the air. "James Sirius Potter. I should murder you!" She said calmly. "You know.... I thought I wanted her to... But... Since you arent even noticing...." She babbled on and on about a subject James couldnt have known about. Then she stopped and stared at him. "We have to talk Potter." She said angrily.

[Katie]

James was, to say the least, surprised, to have himself thrown up in the air by his cousin's wand. "Bloody hell, Evie!" He managed to say as he gathered himself up off the ground after he had fell. He finally stood up straight and grimaced as he stretched out his back. The glare he gave his cousin was...well, let's just say, if looks could kill...

"What the hell was that for? You thought who wanted to what?" He rubbed the back of his neck as he stared at his cousin. James was completely lost and had no idea what he had done. "Go ahead! Please talk to I can understand why I was just thrown threw the air..." His tone was angry and he added a bit of a low growl to the last part of the sentence.

Evie stood up and threw her book down. She went to James and pushed him to the portrait hole. "You know she likes you!" She hissed. "Geez James! Can you be so....." She threw her hands up. "STUPID?!" She glanced over her shoulder and lowered her voice. "I know you heard us talking... Its the absolute only way you guys would have known that we didnt have dates... Geez. Whats wrong with Kat for you to not notice her?"

[Katie]

James was completely dumbfounded at this response. She was yelling at him?! Kat hadn't even looked at him or acknowledged he was there but he was getting yelled at?! He was pushed back to portrait door and was looking at Evelyn with a look of confusion.

"Wha-what?" he said weakly to her. I didn't ignore her! She ignored me!" He rubbed the back of his neck again. "I noticed her! I've been noticing her for a while now! She just hasn't looked at me that way. At least not when Remus is around." He rolled his eyes a little. It was a typical thing, really, and happened often when he was around Remus. But that didn't mean that James was completely hopeless with the ladies.

Evie sighed. "Apparently she noticed you alot for her to come to the conclusion that you were way out of her league..." She said wisely. "Right?" She looked around again. "Just show her that you actually have noticed her. I mean... Walking around with..." She sighed. "Remus-James.... All the time isnt such a good idea if you want the girl attention. I mean..... Seriously James." She reached up and knocked on his head gently. "Is anybody home up there? Aunt Gin would be so.... disappointed in you... NO! Aunt Hermie would be. Considering the fact that you kinda take after Ron..." She grinned sheepishly. "Dont deny it.... You know its true."

"Oh, I have my ways," he said smoothly. Cooper really didn't have an idea. He just usually thought of things as it came up. "Oooo, a party eh? Well....Lizzie really isn't the party type. I suppose I could get to go along though. Count us in, you know I wouldn't pass up something like a party that's bound to be full of pretty girls." Cooper grinned as he said this. He was about to slink an arm around Evie when James walked in.

Cooper turned his head and gave James a little wave. He was about to say something when Evie sent James flying. Obviously there was something the two of them needed to talk about. Evie obviously planned on talking to James in the other side of the room. So, Coop just scratched his head, and turned and gazed into the fire. He thoughts jumping from subject to subject. Cooper was one for gossip or a lot of drama so, he didn't pay attention to Evie and James as they talked. From that little display, Coop definitely didn't wast to piss off Evie.

To say James felt guilty would be an understatement. He really liked Kat, but when he was around , who always flirted with her, he sort of acted shy and never talked. But to hear that Kat thought that he was out of her league made him feel terrible. He wasn't out of her league! If anything, he was right in her league. He would give anything to just be able to go out with her.

"Look, I know that hanging out with Remus may not be the best thing for me to do if I want to talk to Kat, but still Evie, he's my best friend." He made a mental note to himself to actually speak up when he was around Kat and Remus at the same time.

She knocked him on the head and James grinned at her. "Yeah I know...they would be pretty disappointed in me..." he hung his head low, trying to hide his grin. "Hey!" he said in her response to him being like his Uncle Ron. "I like to thiink of myself as more of an Uncle Fred of George, thank you very much."
