Katherine listened rather intently as Albus started to answer her question about his dreams. She'd expected something extraordinary considering he seemed like the sort to want to do big things. Besides that, Kat could tell he was knowledgable and a very capable wizard...especially if he was anything like his father or namesake. As she listened to him go on about wanting to be the headmaster of Hogwarts, she couldn't help smiling. It was something that only the most able witches and wizards were able to do over the year and, from what she'd read and heard, it was a fairly high stress sort of position. In fact, if she'd recalled correctly, numerous Headmasters of the school had only "resigned from their post" after dying. That was a pretty mortifying thought but, still, she couldn't help smiling at how noble his dreams were.
"Oh no! That doesn't sound like you're being childish with your dreams at all, Albus," reassured Katherine sincerely, "Pretty characteristic of a noble, brave and chivalrous Gryffindor...even more for you really. All things considered, I mean." Thinking about it a second or two more, she pondered just what would make him so keen to do a dangerous job even when he was still so young. After a second or two, she decided that he was just one of those generally good guys that wanted to leave a positive impact on the world. After all, that was what had Cooper wanting to be the next Minister of Magic. Yes, it seemed like everyone dreamed a little high when it came to their futures but Kat was sure that Coop would eventually work his way up to the top at the Ministry and that Albus would be a brilliant Headmaster.
Laughing lightly, she said, "I'm glad to be stuck with the Weasely lot...and, of course, you." As he told her that he was sure Coop wouldn't ever lose contact with her, she couldn't keep herself from smiling very brightly. "You know, mate, I wouldn't let him lose contact either. Already told the bloke that I'm sending him an autographed photo and he has to put it on his desk," noted Katherine proudly, "But, yeh, he's already got his application all sent off and I expect they'll hire him straight out of school...so that's certainly cause for congrats." Was Katherine biased when it came to Cooper Weasley? Absolutely! He was one of her best friends after all.
"I might not always be around but I'll be sure to write everyone and certainly wouldn't dare forget you lot...ever!" Kat said rather firmly. The mere idea of not keeping touch with her family and closest friends was something that hadn't even crossed her mind. It simply was NOT going to happen. Even if her team made her practice 10 or more hours a day, she'd still find the time to work on letters home to those who were most important to her. That was just how Katherine Finnigan was. A true Hufflepuff at heart!
After taking another small drink of her butterbeer, Kat set the glass down on the table again. His next question was one of the simplest ones to answer. "Actually, yes, there is one of your cousins on the Hufflepuff team. Cooper's little sister Lucy made it on the team this year," Kat replied with a smile, "She's playing chaser and a right confident one at that. As bad as I feel for poor Coop, him being Gryffindor keeper and all, the look on his face when she goes to score off him is going to be priceless. You know, his other sister Lizzie is a chaser for Ravenclaw as well...brilliant flyer too." Katherine couldn't help laughing a little at the notion. She knew what it was like to play against a sibling being that her little brother Justin was a chaser for the Slytherin team...but it would be different for Cooper because he was always so protective of his younger siblings.
"I don't know if I'm looking forward to winter holiday. It'll be a nice chance for a break but most of my friends will be off doing things with their families and that," responded the Hufflepuff thoughtfully, "I guess it'll give me a bit of time to catch up with my ickle Titchy-poo though." Laughing softly, she remembered just how much Justin hated being called that. After shaking her head a little, she glanced out the window to note that the weather had decided to get even colder and the snow had begun to flutter down from the sky. "How about you, Albus? Got all sorts of plans for the winter hols? I mean, are you going home or staying at the school...or doing anything fun?"

Albus smiled as she complimented him and his dreams. Though when she said that it was expected of him to do great things. He sighed and nodded she was right great things were expected of the Potter’s. But that was by for not the reason he wanted to be headmaster. He knew the real reason’s but that he would keep to himself. He looked over and smirked “ You know I’m pretty sure not only gryffindor is the only noble house. Though we tend to show it in our bravery. I’ve always thought that the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw Houses were the most Honorable houses. Though I don’t play favorites I do tend to surround myself more with Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students. AS I’m sure you know both houses have very uncanny talent and wait to show it. That is way I can’t wait to see this quidditch season at hogwarts.” He smirked and looked over at the window once more.
He listened to her and laughed a little and nodded. He smiled and looked over at her “ Well it’s Very good to know that you are to tired by the Weasley bunch yet or me. Cause I don’t think your ever going to get away especially from Mr. Cooper. I don’t think either of you two will ever allow the other to loose touch so I don’t think you should worry too much about that. I will also be sure to congratulate Cooper the next time I see him. ” He smiled over at Kat reassuringly. Almost as if silently saying that the future is bright for everyone no matter what happens. He went and took out his wand and pointed it at his food. Reheating it up and making his mouth water a bit again. Then he refilled his butter beer a bit but made sure the owner couldn’t see him. He put his wand back and laughed a little.
He looked over at her and raised his eyebrow and laughed a little and nodded his head. “ Well then I will be expecting a letter every now and again Kat. Much rather hear from you then have to read about you in the post. They never do tell you the full truth. I would hate to read that you did something you didn’t. Horrible what they do to people in the post but that is just my personal opinion.” He smiled a little bit knowing that friends and Family would always be the first thing in his life he would make time to stay in touch with everyone. He just couldn’t help it. His bringing up his parents always had taught him to be very appreciative of the family he had. He was very happy with the people in his life and never took any of them for granted.
Her answer surprised him both his eyes brows raised this time. He looked at her with a dumb founded look on his face. “ Lucy?! Nah! Little Lucy Coop’s Baby sister is your chaser? I had no idea she would get into quidditch she was never playing on the field with the rest of us. Well you must keep me updated on how little Luc is doing. I don’t know if she’ll be so committed to the workouts and practice that you seem so strict too. So please send me letter now and again. I didn’t even know that any of us made it into Hufflepuff. I should really pay more attention to all of this. Yes I knew Lizzie was on her house team but she I expected with how close she and Cooper are. Never did expect Lucy to try-out or even make it.”
He looked and drank some of his drink and the window just seemed to catch his attention every time he ate and took a drink. He listened to Kat talk about her break and laughed a little. He looked over at her and shook his head. “ I take it that mean s you’re going to catch up with you brother right? Could be nice to just you know get away from all the school stuff and just relax. I mean first stuff down and now the hard stuff coming rest up a bit.” He smirked and ate quietly for a moment and then he heard her ask him about his. He looked over and smirked a bit but it faded fast. He took a minuet to gather his own thoughts and just was quiet. He wasn’t sure if he was going to answer it or not. But he didn’t see the harm in just mentioning it.
He looked up at Kat and said “ My dad and mum Like to see us kids over Christmas as many as possible and we being Lily James and I are going home to see them and they are taking us to go where My dads parents were killed by the dark lord. I don’t always see why we go every year but it’s a place I dunno I feel different. But I’d actually kind of like to just stay here this year. It’s weird going to the town. But I guess it’s fun. Though from what I hear a lot of my family is staying back this winter break. Which is very surprising since a lot of us like the Christmas holidays. But I think it’ll be nice I’m hopping that the people who stay here will write me just to chat. Since I can obviously talk someone’s ear off.” He smiled a little but looked down at the table and was quiet. Until She started to speak.

It was no surprise, again, when he went on to note just how "noble" the other houses, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw in particular, were. Though Kat had only just met him formally, she could easily tell that he was the sort of person that was far too wise for his age and very eager to make something of himself. She'd known countless people over the years who were rather clever but so many of them didn't use what they had. They simply let their intelligence and other skills go to waste. Perhaps that was why she could sincerely see Albus as a Hogwarts Headmaster. Already, he was quite knowledgeable and accepting of others. If time had any effect on how things went, she was sure that he would only become more wise and unbiased toward everyone.
"I could never tire of the Weasley lot or you," stated Katherine very honestly, "I've grown up my entire life with Weasley's around so it's sort of become part of daily life to have you lot to talk to and share a good laugh with." Not quite sure why, Kat smiled even more brightly than she had been earlier. It may have been the constant reminder that Cooper wouldn't ever let her lose touch after they finished school. She was more than certain that, no matter how things went between them, her friendship with that particular Weasely was one that she never wanted to end. Rather than bring him up again, she decided to let the subject of her best friend drop for the time being.
Leaning back in her chair, Kat watched as another older man entered the pub and strolled over to the far corner. She wasn't much for eavesdropping or bothering with other people's business so she dismissed the fact that he'd sat down with a group of other dark-clothed wizards in one of the darkest bits of the Hogshead. Instead, she directed her attention back toward Albus as he added how he expected a letter from her every now and then. With a broad grin, she nodded and assured, "I promise you'll get one. And...if it means anything, my door is always open if you're ever in Ireland."
With a light laugh, she nodded a little and replied, "Yes, ickle Lucy, Coop's baby sister, is one of my star chasers. Brill on a broom too. S'pose it's the Quidditch gene in the Weasley family, aye?" Thinking about it a second longer, Katherine figured Gryffindor was pretty much done for when they played Hufflepuff...just as long as Potter didn't catch the snitch. No, it wasn't that she wanted to crush the Gryffindor team when Hufflepuff played them but she did want her team to with. It was the competitive nature that she had. She expected that Cooper would be thinking the same thing when it came down to his team versus hers. That's one more thing that all captains had in common. "I'll be sure to keep you updated on her but I assure you there's nothing to worry about with Lucy," Kat said proudly, "Sometimes she's a little too sure of herself but that can only pay off as she improves her skills. What's a good Quidditch player without a bit of confidence during a match, aye?"
Katherine wasn't shocked when he automatically knew that she was talking about her little brother when she mentioned how she'd probably spend her time over winter holiday. "Yeh...he may be a ruddy Slytherin but not all of that lot are bad anyway. Besides that, he's family and all that," she laughed softly, "I may as well make an effort to catch up with him a little while I have the chance." As much as Kat and Justin teased each other and as annoying as he could be sometimes, Katherine still loved her brother and wouldn't trade him for anyone else. She figured most families were like that.
Silently, she listened as Albus went on about what he had planned for winter holiday. She had to admit that it did sound rather nice to do something like that as a family. Then, as he mentioned wanting to stay at the castle, she couldn't help nodding. It was something she wouldn't have minded doing just as long as her friends were around. Then again, she'd also promised Coop that if he got an interview with the Ministry over holiday, she'd go along for moral support. Thinking about that made her smile just a little more. Finally, as he finished, she replied, "You know, if you want, I'll write you over holiday. It'll give me something to do when Titch is annoying me to the point where I have to lock myself in a room to avoid him." She laughed very softly before picking up her butterbeer and taking another small sip.

Albus looked over at Kat and smiled then nodded his head this time commenting on the last thing she had said first. “ Kat I would be more than happy if I got a letter from you. I honestly get board when I’m not around here. It’s just weird doesn’t ever seem the same besides I like having conversations through letters I mean it sucks because I can’t ever know it the other person is laughing or not but it’s very nice to keep in touch. Besides what can a guy do when I get mail I honestly stop everything I am doing and respond. My parents find it quiet stupid and odd that I just stop everything but I do. That is why if my family really wants to talk a lot of it is through mail.” Albus couldn’t help but laugh a little at all of it as he recalled all the times that he had been in a serious conversation with his dad and he got a letter and stopped it to write his cousin back. He laughed a little at it.
He looked over at Kat and took a sip of his drink not thinking anything of the actual people around any longer. He smiled a bit as she talked about the Weasley bunch it was try once you’ve grown up it’s very weird not to have the people around that have always been around. He looked over at the frosted window. He looked at the candle and said “ Yes us Weasleys’ tend to be very hard to loose track of. Because just as you haven’t talked too one of us in a long time and that flame seems dim or gone.” He waved his hand over the candle and the candle was out. Then he added “ We just seem to pop out of no where and make a dull situation fun and loud like always. That is one thing we do is we make things work out for the best. I guess that’s always one thing you can always count on is the loyalty of the Weasleys’ and Potters’. ” He waved again and the candle was burning once again.
Albus smiled a bit and pulled his hand away and grabbed his drink. He drank some a bit and looked over at her with a small smile and said. “ I think it would be great after you get out of here to get a letter of you. Though I am pretty sure that I will write you anyway just to have a real conversation with someone. I mean no offense but I have yet to find anyone here that is worth sitting down and having a real conversation like the one we are having. It usually sticks to just sports and homework. I mean those are important but still I’m not one to stick to one thing ever. Talking about everything is fun get to really know someone no matter what I believe you can tell a lot about someone with how they can hold themselves in a conversation. But that is just my perspective. ” He smirked and went to take another bite of his food that he had seemed to leave untouched by now. He wasn’t all that sure he was hungry anymore though it was true this was the first real conversation that Albus was able to have in a while in his opinion.
Albus had to laugh at Kat’s comment about the quidditch gene and nodded. He smiled a little but there was a part to which he really couldn’t believe little Lucy was a star quidditch player but he would trust Kat’s judgement. He looked over at her “ You know Kat I do trust your judgement and I must agree it is probably that lovely quidditch gene that we all have been so blessed with. But you know I never did little Lucy Weasley would come out of that shell of her’s. Now being a star quidditch player for the Hufflepuff team I must say is quite interesting. ” Albus nodded his head and smiled a bit he looked over at her once more he nodded and added to what he said “ Kat I am no where near worried about Lucy just I never thought she had what it took to even get on a team that is pretty much favored to win this year. Or go against her older sister, Older brother, Or even he little brother’s team. I must say it is interesting to hear that she has confidence in herself like you say she does. But I must agree that if her skills improve then there is no reason that her confidence should fade out.”
He smiled a little and said “ But please keep me updated on my little cousin’s progress please.” Albus stretched a little and then looked over at her and smiled softly as he listened to her talk about her little brother. He laughed a little as understood exactly what Kat was talking about. He looked over at her and said, “ I understand that Kat I don’t really talk to my siblings. James well he’s James and we will leave it at that. But Little Lily well I never really see her much these past years and between you and I am happy about that. She has become her own person and she is wicked smart but very kind hearted. I must say that Lily the only time I really ever get to talk to her is over Christmas and the summer but even then we really barely catch up with one another. But you’d get along with my little sister she is very strong willed and has a lot of passion in what she does. I know that when ever I am around her she is fun and can make you laugh.” He looked over at her and said. “ I think every family is different but one thing we all have in common is siblings. Tease and poke fun forever but deep down no matter what anyone does it doesn’t mean that they don’t love each other. I believe that, that is the curse of being siblings. But I must agree it is nice to catch up once and a while with a siblings. Though I do agree not all slytherin’s are what their house stands for and that is always nice. I don’t judge according to house like some other people.” Albus said trying to comment on his older brother but without saying his name. He noticed that she really doesn’t want to talk about him.
He looked over at Kat and said. “ I hope this doesn’t seem creepy but no matter how I try to word it, it will come out creepy. So anyway would you mind if I do write you over the break? I mean I am surrounded by my family but I just can’t talk to them when they treat me like a student under them and lets face it some of the people under the 5th year kind of suck to talk too. Just one friend to another so I can be some company to you and you too me. Just so I don’t have to pretend to be interested in what candy I’ll be getting from my brother and sister. But I understand if you don’t want me to write. I mean we did just meet and all so I understand It could be a little awkward.” He smiled and took a small swig of his own drink and looked around and saw so many dark characters he seemed very curious about it but wouldn’t comment on it until another time.

Katherine wasn't surprised to hear that the Weasley lot were hard to lose track of simply because she knew so many of them. It was true that she was quite attached to a fair few of them while there were others whom she hardly knew but she adored the lot all the same. Well, Cooper excluded. He had a special place at the very top of her list of friends. It might have seemed a little strange to most people but she actually considered people like Coop and Evie practically family. In fact, the more she thought about it, the more she realized just how much she would be willing to give up if either of them needed her. That's what best friends were for though. Smiling to herself, Katherine let her thoughts linger a moment longer on Cooper before she returned her full attention to Albus as he spoke.
"You know, I doubt I'll even let the flame dim when it comes to a fair few of you lot," said Katherine sincerely, "I honestly can't imagine my life without keeping some sort of contact with people like Cooper and you. I know I've hardly talked to a couple of the Weasley bunch but what would life be without Weasleys?" Grinning happily, Kat absentmindedly lifted her bottle and swished around the bit of her drink that was left. So many of her memories over the years had been made with a Weasley or someone who was related to the Weasleys in some way or another. Softly, she laughed to herself at a few of her fonder memories. Oddly enough, most of them involved Cooper or Evie.
She was about to banter on further about Quidditch and how excited she was to see just how much improvement Lucy Weasley was going to make through the year but Katherine decided against it. Instead, she figured it would be better to respond to his comments about writing. Honestly, she answered, "That doesn't sound creepy at all and I'd be delighted if we wrote back and forth over holiday and even after this school year." The notion of having someone whom she could correspond with on a regular basis and someone who she could actually really talk to about virtually anything was a very pleasant thought. Yes, she talked to Cooper, Evie, Lucinda and her father about pretty much everything but it was a little different with Albus because they'd only just met formally. All the same, she did enjoy hearing his opinions on things and actually getting an unbiased perception on other items involving her. Surely her best friends and father would be way too biased to give her an entirely honest opinion...and that was where Ablus was different.
Still continuing to smile, she responded to his next statements. "I'm honoured that you consider our little chat to be a real sort of conversation Albus. Honestly, I'm really enjoying talking to you. I know it might not sound very nice, so I'll apologize in advanced, but it's good to know that only one of the Potter boys is a bit of a git...or at least is easily influenced by his friends anyway," noted the Hufflepuff, glancing down at the table. Kat didn't like talking poorly about people but she figured James deserved it for making her cry as much as she'd done. Though, Remus Black was also to blame for it. Shrugging it off though, she went on, "And I really am...or...er...was...well, I was enjoying the conversation a lot but if you decide that you don't want to talk to me after that little comment, I'll understand really." She sighed softly and sort of wished that she hadn't said the bit about his brother. In retrospect, it was enitrely unnecessary and she also wouldn't feel nearly as bad.

Albus smiled and nodded as he said, “ I’m very pleased that you don’t plan on loosing contact with the Wesley’s I s’pose it usually feels like that. Once you’ve become so used to one thing or another it seems that one can’t imagine their life without the person, place, or thing. Very interesting really not that I’m too fond of it, Not having my family and friends would probably send me up the walls and back again. But that is purely my own option on a matter like that. Since I know some people who would love to live without some people in their lives. Next to My cousin I believe Miss. Thomas is another one of those friends that you wont ever loose contact with. She seems like a very nice girl seems to be the extended Weasley I believe we call her that. ” Albus smiled a little as he didn’t know a ton about many people in the school just enough to keep him up to date with everyone.
He smirked softly and straightened himself he was happy that she didn’t think he sounded creepy. He looked over at her slightly surprised but happy as well. “ I’m Happy to hear I didn’t creep you out with that and I would be honored to write you back and forth. Besides you don’t seem very biased on every subject which is nice to know. Now what will every one think about all the letter you and I will be sending back and forth. My now your boyfriend might just feel hurt. But that wont stop me from writing you. Might even write him some time as well.” Albus had to laugh at his last statement though he was just joking around he was more then happy to know that he at least had someone that he could write to even if they weren’t in school together any longer. Albus couldn’t help but think about how he would be a seventh year soon. He’d be the oldest person in the school. He was actually kind of excited at the thought of himself getting closer to becoming a headmaster at Hogwarts. He thought that he himself was suited for the job. He never did take sides except when it came to good and bad magic he’d always is for good magic no matter the case. Though he never really talked to anyone about stuff like that. He knew better then to bring things like that up.
Albus was very relaxed and such as he was listening to Kat. He knew that bringing up his brother wasn’t probably the smartest move that he could have pulled but he honestly did think that Kat had a right to express her own feelings about his older brother. Though Albus did love his brother he also thought that his brother could think things through more then just acting. Albus knew that his brother James had a heart and such but wasn’t so good with how to totally express himself or even do the right thing and have it turn out the way he wanted it to. But he drank some of his butterbeer and listened to Kat. He couldn’t help but smirk some as she tried to put her feelings toward his brother lightly. He thought about saying something when she continues and she was telling him that she enjoyed the conversation and if he didn’t feel like talking to her anymore she would understand. He just shook his head and sat up and leaned a little closer to her. SO his eyes were locked on with hers.
Once he had finally gathered everything he was going to say he started. “ First off Kat I must say I am glad you don’t think I am as big of a git as my brother. Now I will say this James is my brother and I love him just the same. But I do not hold anything against you for not liking him. SO do not apologize for not being fond of my brother it is not possible to like everyone in your lifetime. James I will admit is a bit of a git as he is influenced by all of his friends all the time. Most it coming from Mr. Remus Black but I do hold him close to my heart as well. I will say that I do NOT approve of most of their plans and ways they approach anything. James does tend to put everyone else’s happiness before his own. Especially his friends and family weather he likes why they are happy or not. I agree that he is a git and needs to take time out of his life to see what he wants. But no matter what I will support my brother. But I do not think that it is a bad thing you don’t like him. In fact I support you in your choice so I will say one last thing on this matter of concerning my brother as obviously he has done something to you that hurt you and that is not okay. But I will still sit here and talk to you and write you as well. Because I don’t think that just because you don’t like my older brother is any reason to stop talking to a good friend. Because like you said I am not like my brother. ”
Albus leaned back in his chair and gave Kat a friendly smile. HE looked over at her for a moment and took a sip of his drink as it refilled it’s self. He then stopped a moment and looked over at Kat then said. “ Now Kat. Why don’t you tell me how little Lucy Weasley Coop’s Little little sister is going to help Hufflepuff House with the House cup this year. I mean is she anywhere near your type of flying?” Albus sat quietly to see how Kat would react to everything h had said.

Katherine couldn't help but giggle a little when Albus said that her boyfriend might feel hurt knowing that she and Albus were writing back and forth so much. Honestly, she didn't think that would be the case for more than one reason. Firstly, anyone who dated Kat would have to be open minded and accepting of things she said and did. She supposed that she was a little picky about that sort of thing only because she'd be entirely supportive of whoever she took a fancy to. That was just how she'd been raised. Secondly, though, she knew that her boyfriend wouldn't mind because Albus was family pretty much. Smiling brightly, she finally said, "You know, I doubt he'd be too hurt or bothered. I'm sure it'll be fine if I write to you, and Evie of course, tonnes."
Feeling a little relieved that Albus wasn't going to hold her comments about James against her, she smiled a little more and relaxed in her chair a bit. It wasn't so much that she hated James Potter or even disliked him as much as she made it seem. She just didn't fancy being hurt. Nonetheless, she was willing to let that go now. It wasn't like she needed to hold some sort of vicious grudge against him for being a git. Besides that, it was mostly Black's fault in the first place. She realized that now but it had really hurt and nothing would make that go away entirely. Sighing softly, she replied, "Don't get me wrong, Albus...it's not that I really hate your brother or anything like that but he is a bit of a prat sometimes. It's understandable that you'd still stand behind him though. I know my little brother is a horrible little git who lives to make most people's lives hell...but he'll still always be my brother and I'll always love the little brat. Thanks, though, for not holding what I said against me."
With the subject back onto something she could freely talk about, Quidditch, Kat smiled brightly and adjusted in her seat. A thoughtful smile on her pink lips, she thought a moment on his question. "Well, Lucy still has plenty to learn...but that's what Coop and I are around for, eh?" stated Katherine matter-of-factly, "But I think she's going to be a brilliant chaser and, potentially, the captain of Hufflepuff when she gets a bit older. I might be a little biased but I've seen her flying and the way she maneuvers during our practices...and let me say this, the girl has natural talent." It was also true that Lucy had plenty she needed to work on and perfect but Kat had the utmost confidence that the girl would fit right in with the team and contribute to their winning season.
{sorry it's so short and probably not the best post in the world...and that it took me ages to finally reply. }

Albus nodded his head and waved his hand over at Kat. trying to make sure that she didn't think anything of what she said about his brother. He let out a long breath and said " Kat honestly between you and me. My brother has his things and I have completely different things. We are brothers and nothing will change that. I can't discard a very good Friend just because you don't see eye to eye with my brother. Kat I'm not offended with such stuff like that. I understand and I'm not going to sit her and try and con vice you that you should just forgive him. After a while I just give up as most girls aren't always the fondest of my brother. So don't give a second thought about it. I know you don't hate my brother but your not very fond of him either. "
That's all Albus wanted to really talk about his brother as he was used to everyone wanting to talk about James. There was a girl once that pretended to be interested in Albus in his 5th year who just wanted to get close to James. He leaned back in his chair and laughed then said " Well I'm glad Cooper wont be trying to beat me up then. I wouldn't want to spend my entire break looking around Connors. " Albus looked down and took in what Kat had said about his little cousin and honestly was just completely confused by it all. He hadn't ever thought that Cooper's second little sister would make her mark on the quidditch world.
He shook his head. " Okay now you have lost me Honestly are we talking about little quiet Lucy Weasley? Coopers quiet little sister? She can fly? none the less you think she could follow her brother and become Capitan of the Hufflepuff team one day. That just it seems so out of who I thought she was. I believe that you and Cooper are probably what has got her to what she is today again."He laughed a little and sipped at his drink a bit. He looked over at Kat and ate a bit.
" So I take it you rubbed the Quidditch world cup in my Brother's face? I know that I did he was not a happy bloke with the turn out of that match. " Albus sat back and let Kat talk now.

Katherine felt truly relieved to know that Albus really didn't mind that she and his older brother didn't get on the best. Still thinking about it a second more, she sighed softly and lifted her drink up again. Instead of taking a drink right away, she swished the liquid around in the bottle a moment or two. Her chocolate brown eyes gazed almost carelessly into the butterbeer before she finally leaned the glass top to her lips and took a small drink. Setting it down in front of her, she uttered a very sincere, "Thanks Albus. You really are far too clever and understanding for your age." It was, of course, a compliment and she hoped that he took it that way because, honestly, she hadn't met anyone his age that had such a profound outlook on life and a sincere understanding of others and their feelings. He was truly a breath of fresh air.
Mouth nearly falling open in surprise, Kat was entirely shocked that he knew exactly who she was referencing. Though Cooper had mentioned that rumours would spread quickly, she still didn't expect that too many people would know that he'd asked her and she'd said yes. Then again, Albus was family and he did have that knowledge beyond that of most people. Letting out a light laugh, she responded, "He's harmless anyway. Besides that, you're family so there's nothing to worry about really."
Thoughtfully, she went on to answer his question about Coop's little sister, "Yes, I'm talking about ickle Lucy Weasley of Hufflepuff. Yes, she can fly...and, you know, she's not always so quiet either. I was informed, by my darling little brother, that she challenged him to a one-on-one match once." For another moment, Katherine sat pensively. She wondered whether Lucy had actually won the competition. Since her brother hadn't told her the outcome, she naturally assumed that he'd gotten his bum kicked by her chaser. After all, surely Justin would have bragged and ranted if he'd won. At least, that was what Kat figured.
"No, actually I didn't," Katherine said after a moment, "In fact, before...the incident..." Kat paused a second, attempting to actually organize her thoughts and forget about what had happened. Once she was sure she could go on, she continued, "Before then...I actually had a chat with him in Quality Quidditch and he mentioned that he fancied the Irish National team...and...well, I...I actually offered to bring him along to the next world cup if the Irish made it and I managed to get tickets. This, of course, was before everything...but, still, I wouldn't go back on my word."
{I know how that goes. Nearly all of the sites I'm on have gone entirely inactive too. It's sad really.}

Albus smiled and nodded as she complimented him he took it as such as well. He smiled and said “ Well thanks Kat I do what I can anyway. Not always as great as it looks. But hey I am who I am can’t change that.” Albus stretched some his arms were getting stiff. He heard his shoulders pop and he was good. After a few moments he looked as he sipped a bit of his own drink. Albus really did have a good time just sitting and talking to Kat she was able to keep a conversation and still have it hold something interesting. He looked over at Kat and said “ Same for you Kat you make conversation very interesting and some how relaxing as well. Not many people are able to do that and not feel extremely awkward for more then a few moments.” Albus smiled and had to admit that the first few moments both of them were sort of weird but now it felt like they had become very good friends.
Albus smirked a bit and was quiet for a moment though he did let his eyes roll a little bit and he laughed a little and said. “ Yeah right totally harmless I’m family and I ‘m a guy if he takes it the wrong way I’ll be running my entire way to Ireland and onward. ” Albus smiled a little and let out a small laugh. He raised his eyebrow and said “ Kat honestly by now you know better then that. I know more things then the average human or witch or wizard. I don’t listen to those useless rumors around here. Never really know what’s real and what’s rubbish. But I mean the way you to talk about one another it’s pretty much a dead give away my friend.” Albus smiled and sipped at his drink shifting his sitting Poisson as well. He was much more comfortable now.
He listened to her talk about Lucy and still surprised him more. He rubbed the back of his neck and shook his head. “ I can’t believe it his little sister challenged your little brother to a match. Well then I will definitely have to show up to some of your matches see how bad you squish the compition then. You’re sure that Lucy challenged your brother?” He just sat back and was quiet he couldn’t believe that Coop’s littlest sister had as much courage as Coop did. He just never really took the time to really get to know Lucy as good as the other kids. He just didn’t see her often enough to know she was a Quidditch fan. He looked over at the girl and still was surprised. Surprised that he hadn’t noticed his small cousin actually doing all the Quidditch interests. But he was quiet for a moment and then sipped his drink. His eyes met with Kat’s for a moment. Then he looked away and focused on his food that he nibbled at here and there though it was still warm.
Smiling a little Albus looked over at Kat and said. “ Is that so now. Way ta go Kat it takes a strong person to stick to their words. Must be why you and I get along so well both very true to their words. Not always the easiest thing in the world though. Not to mention you got James to agree that the Irish are a much better team. Usually when I do that him and I end up either in a dual or reselling on the ground till one of us breaks a limb. I guess it’s all in good fun though. Shows that when we start something we can finish it somehow I s’pose. Though I can’t help but think that my brother is some how the complete opposite to Me.” He smirked and smiled. He sat up straighter and moved the candle a little closer to Kat. He moved her bottle to the right. He took his pencil and drawing pad. “ Do you mind? I’ll Be quick I swear. Just I really like drawing portraits not often something I do to people who I just got to know.”
Albus was quiet and hid his eyes a little as he waited for her to answer him. He asked “ So other then Quidditch what other things do you do in your free time?” ooc: I know same here sorry for the delay Been a tad busy with family and work...SOrry.

"Indeed," said Kat warmly, "And don't change for anyone mate." All too frequently, Katherine saw people trying to change who they were. Merlin! She'd even done it once until she realized how silly it was and how wrong her friends were. She was quite glad that she'd realized it before things had gone too far and she'd lost out on her Quidditch. If people didn't like her for who she was then it would be their loss. Just like if people didn't get along with Albus, they would be the ones missing out on knowing someone great. Smiling brightly, she went on, "Yeh...I'm glad we're both decent enough with conversation or else this would likely be prett awkward, aye?" Letting out a light laugh, she was sincerely relieved that he'd gestured her over in the first place.
Katherine couldn't keep herself from letting out a hearty laugh at what Albus said regarding Cooper. She didn't think Coop was the overly possessive sort but she doubted she'd mind much if he was just a little protective and possessive. "I highly doubt he'd have much of an issue with us writing back and forth," she noted thoughtfully, "He's just far too sweet to assume that something bad is going on without asking first." Kat couldn't help feeling incredibly lucky. After all, Coop had been one of her best friends since the start. Shaking her head in amusement, she added, "I know you seem to know more than anyone really...but I didn't think we were that obvious. I mean...I've always sort of ranted about him. Well, Coop and Evie really since they've always been my best friends. It's just that now...Coop's...he's a bit more than a best friend." As the Snow Ball replayed in her mind and she recalled the moment that he'd asked her, she blushed a little but covered it up by taking a drink from her bottle.
"I almost couldn't believe it either but I know that girl has a backbone. How could she not? She's a Weasley after all," replied Katherine. Lucy Weasley might have been Cooper's baby sister but Kat was positive that she wasn't so little anymore. She could take care of herself, mostly, even though Coop surely looked out for the girl all of the time. He was just a very protective big brother...which was cute. "I'm sure she did because I highly doubt my brother would admit to being challenged by a Hufflepuff girl," she said thoughtfully, "And then he never told me the results of it so I'm guessing he got his bum kicked by her too." Even though she loved her brother, Katherine couldn't be any more proud of her chaser.
Nodding a bit as she listened to him complimenting her and comparing himself to her in terms of their ability to stick to their word even when there were little things that would usually stop others. She had to admit that it would likely be very awkward to attend a match with James but she figured that she'd probably invite Cooper and Evie along as well...depending on how many tickets she could convince her uncle to acquire. "I didn't even have to convince your brother that my Irish National team was the best," said Kat with a confused expression, "He brought them up first...knew what sort of brooms the team had and said it would be amazing if they made it to the cup." All of a sudden, she felt a little ill. It wasn't because of something she'd eaten or drank though. Sighing quietly, she tried to shove those thoughts and that sick feeling out of her mind. "No, I don't mind at all," she said lightly, staring at the top of her bottle for a few moments
Without really thinking, Kat lifted her butterbeer and swished the liquid around in the bottle as her chocolate brown eyes stared listlessly into it. She wished she hadn't even thought about that stuff. Pulling herself away from the things swirling and spiraling through her mind, she returned her gaze to Albus and replied, "Besides Quidditch...nothing much really. I do the regular things most teenagers do, I guess. Spend time with friends, read a little, walk about the grounds...plus I do my exercise routines all the time...mostly to keep in shape for Quidditch." {No worries really. I should probably apologize for my lack of quick response as well...}[/size]
