Gabriel stepped into the large house he regretfully called home. His hands instantly traced the patterns on the wall as he passed, it was a habit that he had almost memorized from his years in this hell hole. He soon found himself at the door to his room, he frowned at the cuts that threatened to go through all the way. His door was almost destroyed from the several curses he had sent at in his rage after meeting with his mother.
Gabriel opened it slowly but soon felt the prescience he knew to belong only to his mother. It was that dark persona that seemed to suffocate anything that had a hint of good in it.

Lestrange estate, being one of the eldest manor homes in all of this part of Europe, gave off the feel of nobility just as each member of the pureblooded family. One of said members was flopped out on the settee in the drawing room of the manor with a quill in one hand and a half filled piece of parchment rested on her lap. The younger girls off playing in the yard, under the watchful eye of a loyal house elf, Bellatrix found herself writing a letter to her dearest sister Narcissa Malfoy. Unfortunately, nearly half way through it, she'd run into a horrible case of writer's block.
Rather than dwell upon it, she tossed the writing implement and parchment aside and opted for a walk around the manor. Rodolphus would not be home for hours and the girls wouldn't be bothered to stop playing until they were tired of whatever it was they'd gotten up to. As such, Bella was left to wander her home all alone. That was, until she caught glimpse of someone just down the corridor.
The figure, a familiar one even had she seen it in Diagon Alley just after dusk, was standing just in front of his bedroom. From what she could tell, the door was ajar but he was merely standing there. Honestly, the last thing she cared to do was run into Gabriel and have another spat like the last one. Then again, perhaps he would finally listen to her. An expressionless face and her hands resting loosely at her sides, Bellatrix glid across the corridor toward him as silently and casually as this old manor would allow.
"Gabriel," her cold voice addressed, bouncing off of the hallway walls, when she was a mere metre or two from him. The Lestrange matriarch paused and slowly brought her arms up to cross them lightly over her chest.

"Mother." Gabriel answered his voice filled with loathing as well as disgust. Ever since his last argument with her he had given up on trying to hide his hatred of his mother, there wasn't any point she already knew it. "So what brings you to my humble little corner of the world? It wouldn't happen to be that you got bored and decided to make another argument with me or do you just take joy in pissing me off?" Gabriel asked not turning to face her instead he started to walk away, he knew she would probably pursue and continue the conversation but he didn't care.

Very well aware of her son's feelings and thoughts toward her, Bellatrix hadn't been expecting anything less than a snarky comment from the boy. The only bit that even gave her the slightest hint of remorse being that he was the only male and the eldest of the children. As such, he was expected to follow his parents devoutly and become the next in line for the Lestrange estate and family fortunes. Were he blasted from the tree, he'd lose everything and add shame to their family. It was enough to make her consider things such as the imperius curse.
It mildly irritated Bella that her son would ask her questions and then simply walk away as though he had better things to do. The first thought to enter her mind was 'I brought you into this world, boy, and I can sure as hell take you back out of it.' Scowling, she followed along just a few steps behind him to snidely answer, "Come now love, you know my day simply would not be complete without thoroughly pissing off my eldest child. It's nearly as vital as oxygen itself."
Sarcasm. The primary language of any good Brit. Her arms still crossed over her chest, Bellatrix tightened them ever so slightly and remained in perfect step behind her son. If he wanted to ignore her, she would simply strive to annoy him even more. To her, this was just another of those little games...even if the end result was nothing more than another violent feud.

"And making your life a living hell is only an added bonus, you forgot that part mother dearest." Gabriel said sharply turning to face her. "I know you want me to be a lestrange so I can have all of this," Gabriel said giving a sweeping gesture with his hands to emphasize his words, "But I don't really want all of this. It comes with a few problems especially since well I don't think it's time to tell you that one yet, I want to make sure I can savor it." As soon as he stopped talking he just smiled.
Gabriel moved his hand to his hair and pushed it back in the most arrogant way he could possibly do, it was almost his way of telling her to kiss his ass, he didn't gave a damn about her. "Now then do you have some purpose in this, as much as I love to chat with you I have better things to do. For example think about how to get out of this hell hole and send you back to Azkaban were the insane belong like you and father dearest." Gabriel said with a laugh, he was taking pride in annoying her.

"Yes, Gabriel, without that bonus, I don't know how I'd make it through my days," she said in little more than a hiss. Bellatrix simply could not understand why he, of all her children, had to be so difficult. Then she was reminded of Sirius. Scowling at the mere thought of her offspring turning into that, she wrote it off to Gabriel merely being a moody and trying teenager. Surely he'd grow out of this phase and take his rightful place as the Lestrange heir. He was, after all, the only one that could possibly pass the surname on. What a travesty it would be if he married filth!
His words might have worn on anyone else but Bella had dealt with her share of sharp retorts and cutting remarks. As it was, he was a mere child and his responses did nothing more than amuse her. With an entertained expression on her face, the Lestrange matriarch replied, "Sanity is far overrated, love. And you'll do well to remember that those who go in without their mind come out exactly the same." Patronizingly, she reached forward and ruffled the hair that he'd just run his fingers through. If anything, it would make her point and irritate him. Killing two proverbial birds with one stone.

"We'll I'm sorry but being a crazo like you mother dearest doesn't really appeal to me. I would rather be the son of Snape then share those mental issues of yours!" Gabriel said angrily swatting her hand away from his hair. Gabriel glared darkly at his mother as if daring her to try something like that again. He had gotten tired of her and couldn't believe he hadn't hexed her into oblivion or at least attempted to yet. "No wonder Sirius left this damn family, it's worse then Azkaban." Gabriel said hotly smiling after he had spoken, he knew this would strike a nerve.
"Now then if you will excuse me I have a friend I want to go owl at school. She and I have something planned latter which is a lot more important then trading hot words with a washed up, no good, disgusting, whore like you mother dearest." Gabriel said each word laced with venom, he wanted her to know how much he hated her before he turned away from her. He walked away but as he did so he took out his wand, he had a feeling she would send a spell or two his way after his words.
