APPEARANCE&&PERSONLAITY
DESCRIPTION ::
Remus has graying brown hair and gets a bit harrier once a month depending on the cycle of the moon. He may often look tired or ill due to his condition but he is normally in a good mood thanks to great friends. His vivid eyes fluctuate between browns, sometimes appearing a bit yellowish (again an effect of the lycanthropy), and are very soulful. When he is very serious, his face can show wisdom and pain far beyond his years. His face almost always contains a number of healing scars as does the rest of his body. There is, of course, that one time a month after the change when he will slouch more often than not, his movements reflecting his fatigue.
He tends to wear muggle clothing - mainly in paler, less-striking colors. The majority of his possessions (clothes included) are worn and faded - all but falling apart thanks to his extensive knowledge of magic. He seems to wear them well enough, though, considering the fact that the clothes were at a lack of color before he got to them. The books in his possession, much like his clothes, are often worn and tattered. He can have a pallid or jaundiced complexion the first few nights after a full moon (and possibly some times after,) but his sick appearance is easily ignored when he seems so happy. His face is always lit up with a smile when he is speaking with someone else, and his warmth is almost infective. While he feels rather tortured on the inside, he does a good job of hiding it from other people.
Although he may, at times, appear frail, Remus is far from weak. He is underestimated more often than not because of his appearance alone but he is very athletic, with a few gifts from the lycanthropy as well. He almost always greets people with a sweet smile, his light brown eyes flashing with curiosity and kindness. His mannerisms tend to be more gentle and well thought out than those of most people as he understands what it’s like to feel pain. He is highly empathetic and it shows in his eyes as well as gestures when he’s speaking to someone. Contrarily, however, Remus tends to keep a safe distance from the people he speaks with. He knows that it isn't as if he'd suddenly transform into the werewolf and pounce, but he subconsciously reminds himself that he's dangerous. Also, he's rather shy, so the distance is a defense for himself as well.

PERSONALITY ::
Remus is a brave, loyal soul and would do anything for his friends. His dark secret keeps him from creating too many relationships, but he would be more than willing to die for the few close friends he does have. He is kind and loving to everyone, although he does not trust easily. He knows that trusting someone with his secret is equivalent to trusting them with his life. A person either has gained all of his trust, or they don’t yet have any. He can be very mysterious (although he would never notice this himself) and secretive, but he tries not to lie... any more than he needs to.
While he is an extremely studious person, having friends like James, Peter, and Sirius definitely brings him back down to Earth when he’s fallen too far into being serious. He loves joking around with his friends when it’s not at someone else’s expense but strongly disapproves when they feel the need to torture another student. Remus really does understand that they want a laugh… he just wishes they’d find a better way to get it. He sees them all as caring individuals... even if they don't want to show it.
Remus has a fairly positive outlook on life… or… he tries to. He knows that being depressed all the time will do no one any good and so he tries to make a joke of his condition or just ignore it completely. At first, he didn’t understand why he should have to deal with this when everyone else can go on leading a normal life but he grew to learn that nothing in life would be easy and one just has to roll with the punches. He is very philosophical and can be very good at giving advice (but terrible at taking it). He’s an all around good person and a great friend to have because he cares so much about everything.
He does have a dark side, though, that may show through a bit more often than he would like. He is often haunted by nightmares of what could happen during a full moon and he torments himself with his own thoughts of what a beast he is. It is very hard to stay optimistic all the time even if you try so Remus has his moments when he loses himself in his self-loathing/pity. He just always finds a way to come back (not without help, of course.)

LIFE&&HISTORY
HISTORY [min 4 paragraphs of six sentences each]
Remus John Lupin was born to John and Elizabeth Lupin. His father was a pureblood wizard who worked at St. Mungos and his mother a muggle woman who owned a bookshop not far from their home. His father had offended Fenrir Greyback, and Remus was bitten in retaliation. The guilt never completely eased for his father, though Remus has tried very hard to do so. This makes it hard for him when he visits his family, though they are quite close.
Life after the bite was traumatic, the transformations were painful, and frightening for a young boy. His parents grew over-protective of young Remus, and moved from their original home to an isolated location, where the nearest neighbor was a good distance away, and home schooled the boy until his Hogwarts letter arrived, a day with many tears of joy. As a result, Remus didn't have friends until he got to Hogwarts, and parental caution had drilled into him the need for secrecy about his condition, and his own research into lycanthropy further reinforced the desire to keep away from people.
His dorm mates wouldn't be dissuaded by his distant behavior however, and soon Remus was running with James, Sirius and Peter. All was fine, though he didn't get too close with the other three until they discovered his condition. He'd been in the Hospital Wing after a bad change, and the others had sneaked in to visit. They overheard him and the Nurse speaking, and later confronted him about it. He'd initially denied it, and withdrew from them, until the three ambushed him at the Shrieking Shack in full Animagi form. At that time, touched and astounded that the three slackers would go through such a difficult process for him, Remus's walls crumbled and the Marauders were formed.
Hogwarts was a blast after that. Full moons were no longer rough, and Remus grew healthier. Pranks were pulled, with the quiet boy trying vainly to restrain his friends from going too far, but wanting their acceptance too much to put his foot firmly down. Then, it happened. Snape would have been killed, or worse, turned, like Remus. Remus was devastated after the event, and spent many days apologizing to the Slytherin. He then went to the Headmaster, begging to withdraw from Hogwarts, saying that he wasn't safe for the other students. The Headmaster was sympathetic, but refused to let him withdraw and hurt his education. He could have gone over the Headmasters head and applied to Hogwarts' Board of Governors, but unable to give a reason as to why without telling the whole truth, which would have gotten his friends into trouble, and maybe even expelled, Remus let the matter drop.
School passed quickly after all of that. He wasn’t quite sure how he’d survive living in the real world with is ‘monthly’ problem. He knew a job would be tricky and it was unlike that it would be job in the wizarding world. After graduation his mother offered him a job at her bookshop where he made a decent living and was able to afford a one bedroom flat just outside London. When his monthly problem occurred he always went back to the Shrieking Shack to transform and wait out the night.
Within a couple years of graduating James Lily and their young son Harry went into hiding. He rarely saw any of his friends after that though they kept in contact through letters once in a while and their was the order meetings. A year after their son was born the Potters were murdered in their home however their son lived; being the only person to survive the killing curse. It was a huge blow to Remus, his close friends now dead. He felt alone then more then ever. Sirius was sent to Azkaban and Peter was dead. He was again left with no friends in the world.
When he was thirty-three Professor Dumbledore offered him a job at Hogwarts as the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor. Even though the offer was great he still felt like Dumbledore was putting his students at risk. And Remus wasn’t sure if he was ready to put so many people at risk, just because Dumbledore wanted him to have the job. There was a bright side to all of this though. He would be able to see Harry Potter again. The son of one of his best friends. And with Sirius Black on the loose it was probably best if Remus was at Hogwarts as an extra precaution.
The following years were eventful as Voldemort started to gain power. The Order was formed again and had a few new members. One of which was Nymphadora Tonks they had a pleasant friendship at first but as the months passed it became more apparent that she had a crush on him. This was a completely new thing for Remus. He always kept his distance when it came to the opposite sex he never wanted to get to close to them just incase he became attached. Then it would just leave to heartache on both sides. He refused her advances time after time knowing it was best if they weren’t together. However as time went on Remus slowly began to realize the state of Tonks’ depression. She was no longer bubbly, her hair a plain brown instead of the spiky pink that use to grace her head. It took a lot of convincing, but he finally realized that they were right for each other and the two married in the summer of 1997. During the battle of Hogwarts in 1998 he and his wife died at the hand of Death Eaters.
Miraculously about eleven years later something peculiar happened when young Victoire Weasley had smashed the resurrection stone which brought back many of the deceased. It was a lot to comprehend but slowly the pieces started to fall together, and life went on. Remus and Tonks had two more children who are now attending Hogwarts.

Severus thrashed around on his bed. He couldn’t seem to wake from the nightmare that had filled his thoughts for the last few weeks. But this one was different. He felt the pain. The screams pierced his ears;“Not Harry! Not Harry! Please - I’ll do anything -”
“Stand aside. Stand aside, girl!”
and his heart wrenched to stop the pain that was happening to her; to Lily. He couldn’t stop it. No matter what he muttered no matter how much he thrashed about his bed he couldn’t seem to stop what was happening in the nightmare. It seemed like he’d be stuck in it forever. Just when he thought it couldn’t get worse a green flash filled the room and Lily’s body fell to the floor. It was almost as if he stopped breathing, his chest ache. He could do nothing. He didn’t think it would ever end. Just when he thought it was over it started again, the screaming never stopped. It was different this time… A mans voice, it sounded almost familiar…“Lily, take Harry and Go! It’s him! I’ll hold him off -”
He woke up abruptly, his face flushed. His body dampened with sweat. He needed to find Lily. He needed to make sure she was alright. Make sure she was safe. He needed to see her. Without further consideration, he threw the bed covers to the floor. Still clad in only his night clothing, he rushed through the common room ignoring the looks from the other students. He had one thing on his mind and it was Lily. He needed to see her. He couldn’t rest without knowing she was alright. It seemed like it took him forever to get to the Seventh Floor he stopped almost abruptly when he remembered the Fat Lady. How was he suppose to get to her? Just when he had thought to giving up a girl was headed his way. He could tell she was Gryffindor, without thinking he ran up to her. “You need to get Lily Evans for me.
NOW!”
