It was late in the evening when Remus made his way down to the kitchens, aware the dangers of going down this late. He wasn't worried; it's not like he hasn't been in trouble before... no he WAS trouble.
Earlier that evening, he had swiped James' map, leaving a note behind for him to meet him in the kitchens at 10:30. Safe to say, even he was a bit late now. The thing is... he had gotten distracted by a girl. It wasn't unlike him to stop and chat up a girl, the fact was that he had learned it from him father. His mother constantly told him he was too much like his father for his own good, and everyone else agreed. At the age of 13, Remus had managed to be exactly what his father had been; Hogwarts' heart throb. And not without the help of his best friend.
Remus ran his hand through his hair, grinning from ear to ear as he tickled the pear. It always made him laugh; the idea of tickling a pear was only something a genius could come up with. He entered the kitchen, waving to the house elves as they bowed and welcomed him. They loved him, who didn't? He quickly sat down, pulling his legs over the table ahead of him. He smirked as they served him.
He nodded his thank yous, waiting for his friend... they needed to discussed something very... particular.

James came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist and his hair soaking wet. He had gotten back from dinner and decided to take a shower before he went to sleep. He went to go open his trunk when he found a note written in none other's but Remus-James Black's handwriting, his bestfriend. Meet me in the kitchens at 10:30. Grinning, James looked at the clock. It was 10:20.
After getting dressed, he searched through his truck to find his father's map, but couldn't find it. "Remus!" he exclaimed, a little bit of anger present in his voice. It wasn't often that he ventured out past curfew without the Marauder's Map. Shaking his head with a slight grin on his face, he walked out of the dorm.
The halls were, of course, empty because of how late it was. James held his lit-up wand just a little bit so he could see where he was going, even though he knew these corridors like the back of his hand. Finally he made it to his shortcut that led to the first floor he had discovered while looking at the map a few years back. Looking both ways to check to see if anyone was watching, he stepped through the tapestry and started making his way down.
Finally he was at the kitchens. He was grinning at his success of making it down here without getting caught and without the Marauder's Map. Quickly, he checked his watch to check the time. 10:40. It had taken him longer than expected to get down here and he hoped that Remus hadn't been waiting too long. he tickled the pear and walked inside and was greeted by all the house elves. He grinned as they all bowed and ran up to him with food. Shaking his head at a house elf who had just offered him some treacle tart, he said, "Sorry, no thank you. Can't stand even the sight of them." His hand rested on his stomach as he tried to avert his gaze from the treats on the tray.
James looked up from the house elf and grinned as he saw his friend sitting at a table. "Remus!" He made his way over to the table. "I believe you took my map." He raised his eyebrows up at him and took a seat across the table from him.
