FULL NAME :: Katherine Michelle Finnigan
AGE :: Seventeen
GENDER :: Female

APPEARANCE&&PERSONLAITY
DESCRIPTION :: Aside from her feminine shaped face, when it came to appearances, Katherine took a majority of her father's attributes. She has medium brown hair that she tends to let grow out to her mid-back. Though she usually allows it to flow freely behind her, there are many times when she prefers to put it up into a high ponytail. Her eyes, though not really credited to either of her parents, are a a softer brown colour. When paired with her soft, pink lips, her eyes tend to give Kat a very friendly and approachable appearance.
Katherine is the avagerage height and weight for a girl her age. Like her mother, she has a fairly curvacious figure...but she often feels as though her body is one of her biggest faults. As such, when she isn't adorned in her school uniform, she can usually be seen wearing jeans and t-shirts or sometimes sweat clothes. Very rarely will she ever wear a dress or make-up but even then she feels exceedingly uncomfortable.
PLAYED BY :: Emmanuelle Chriqui
PERSONALITY :: Katherine Finnigan is a fun loving and easy going girl who loves to make new friends. Though she did acquire most of the best traits from each of her darling parents, Katherine also came up short in comparison to them. She is clever with high aspirtaions but, unlike her father Seamus, she lacks bravery and doesn't jump to conclusions. Though she does worry about her appearance and knowing the latests updates about her friends, she is very unlike her mother in that she hates to spread rumours and gossip. As far as her parents are concerned, she is the model student but they don't know that she does have quite the mischievous side when around the right people.
Though not the epitome of what Hufflepuff house stands for, Katherine does value friendships above all. Once friends with Kat, she is one of the most loyal and devoted girls in all of Hogwarts. The main problem is getting passed her shyness. Being the daughter of Lavendar Finnigan, Kat always seemed to fall in her mother's shadow so she does have the habit of underestimating herself or being overly shy around people whom she doesn't know well. Also, Katherine dislikes arguing and getting into fights with anyone. Whenever someone tries to start problems, she is usually the one to walk away...like a good little Hufflepuff.
FLAWS :: She is very insecure with her body, timid around those whom she doesn't know well and she underestimates herself frequently
LIKES :: Reading, music, Charms, writing, thunderstorms, Quidditch, friends
DISLIKES :: Fights/arguements, Divination, huge social events, beint thrust into the limelight
LIFE&&HISTORY
HISTORY :: Only a ten months after finally gathering up the nerve to ask his long time crush (and former date to the Hogwarts Yule Ball) Lavendar Brown to marry him, Seamus Finnigan and his darling wife (though only newlyweds) were graced with a daughter. Born on the sixth of June, at exactly six o'clock, the Finnigan girl already seemed to bare a striking resemblance to her father. As such, the couple named their first born child Katherine Michelle, after her maternal grandmother...so she possessed equal things from both sides of the family. From the very start, when she first met her father, the baby girl had shown a certain friendly nature by giggling and gurgling happily. It was almost like she was destined to be her father's daughter. Even so, the entire Finnigan and Brown family took to the newborn immediately and she to them as well.[/b]
By the early age of two and a half, Katherine was already bubbly and exceedingly friendly little girl. Her father seemed to tote his "pride and joy" around nearly everywhere just to show her off. Of her admirers, her second cousin (whom she called "uncle Fergus") was perhaps the greatest. He and Seamus would spend hours in the back yard teaching her all about Quidditch and trying to get her to say cute things. Being eager to please, Kat usually went along with whatever they'd told her or asked of her. With her mother usually off working at the publishing company (in the department of fashion for Witch Weekly), the Finnigan girl was usually left with her father anyway. That was until, shortly after her third birthday, her little brother was born. Lav spent more time at home, tending to Katherine's little brother, so Seamus had to start working even more. This was where Kat's habit for underestimating and question herself came into play.
Kat and her little brother always got on well enough but they did compete for their parents' affection. While Katherine tended to be her father's favourite (even though he would never admit that), her little brother was usually the apple of their mother's eye. This didn't really matter much for very long because in September, a few months after Kat turned eleven, she left home to attend Hogwarts. Though the experience did leave her father worried half to death about his little girl, Katherine was excited about starting school at the same place that her parents went.
At the sorting ceremony, the hat (which originally terrified Katherine) was posed with the issue of where to put a girl who's descendants had all been in Gryffindor. She did possess a lot of the attributes that her parents and grandparents before had but she lacked an assertiveness and bravery that was customary of Gryffindor house. Besides that, deep down, the hat noted "...you value your friends and family above all else, even yourself, Miss Finnigan. You're perfect for...HUFFLEPUFF!" Still excited about just being at Hogwarts, Katherine made the best of her house placement. And, by the end of the first start-of-term feast, she'd already made a new friend or two. Though she was generally shy on the outside, the trend of making at least one new friend per year did continue all through her school years.
During her earlier years at Hogwarts, Kat (or Katty Kat/Kitty Kat as she was deemed by a few of her housemates) was much more of a tomboy because of her love for Quidditch. She wasn't quite good enough to play on the house team but she did love to watch practices, talk the sport and attend matches whenever she got the chance. During her fifth year, however, she was told (by one of her closer friends) that boys really didn't like girls who only ever wanted to talk about sport. Again, her tendency to second guess herself and feel inferior kicked in and she actually tried to change herself for the sake of being like the rest of the girls her age. It was a short lived phase, however, and now that she's in her final year at Hogwarts, she is a little more confident in who she is. Others can either like her or leave her because she doesn't plan on changing for anyone.

RP SAMPLE :: Taken from former Myspace HPRP"No, just a vanilla with Bertie Bott's," she said, rather irritated that she had to repeat her answer. The woman standing at her table looked almost as if she was going to question the decision once more until she met Narcissa's glare. As the young lady scampered off, Narcissa picked up her issue of Witch Weekly and began to scan through the pages. Almost as soon as she'd begun to read an article, the waitress interrupted with the frost treat and a card with the price written down. Tossing the currency onto the table, Cissa got up from her seat and took the dessert to a table in the corner of Florean Fortescue's. It would be so much easier to not be disturbed in the back of the parlour.
Today was no easy day for shopping in Diagon Alley. Some incident or another occurred in virtually every single shop she'd gone into and, for that reason, she was in no mood to be disturbed now. Unfortunately, it was nothing more than wishful thinking. Once more, the yong waitress distrubed her to question whether there was anything else that Missus Malfoy needed or wanted. She was practically hovering over the table, which annoyed Narcissa even further. The Malfoy matriarch rose from her seat and stormed out of the shop without another word. Why must people be so bloody irritating?! she thought with a scowl.
Apparating home, Narcissa pulled off her cloak and summoned a house elf. She practically threw her bags and cloak at the creature before walking off. The silence of Malfoy manor seemed to relax her more than anything else. At least here she was free from obnoxious waitresses and shopkeepers. In the sanctuary of her home, Narcissa was free to do as she pleased and relax without worry about harrassment. Even the house elves knew better than to disrupt her. As she strolled through the hallways toward the library. The company of a good book would be quite peaceful right now she thought to herself.
Upon seeing her darling and beloved husband, she smiled warmly and teasingly replied, "One would think you're up to something, my dearest." She let out a light giggle as she walked passed him toward one of the bookshelves. Her elegant midnight blue dress flowed behind her gracefully. As she scanned the shelf for her favourite book, she couldn't help but glance over her shoulder at Lucius. Something about him seemed to make her fall even more deeply in love with the charming Malfoy male every single time her gaze fell upon him.
