APPEARANCE&&PERSONLAITY
DESCRIPTION :: Dark eyes are, perhaps, trademark of the Snape family. Blair's eyes, though very much like his fathers, are quite unique in that they are capable of appearing soft and friendly...but only when he chooses for them to appear so. On most occaions, however, they portray an empty, cold and deep look. In fact, they have often been compared to the black lake in that there is no way of telling what lies beind the dark, placid surface of his dark orbs.
Blair has been called the "spitting image" of his father for many different reasons and his hair is no exception. There are occaions when the eldest Snape lets his black hair grow out to his shoulders. Unlike his daddy dearest, however, he does take care to wash and comb it. Even despite the care he does take with his hair, he certainly doesn't obsess over it. He also never cuts his hair short enough to not appear messy though.
Exactly the same height as his father, not an inch taller nor shorter, Blair Snape also possesses a fairly thin build. Even so, he isn't so thin that he looks ill. He never has been the athletic type nor "mister popularity" and he doesn't desire to be. As such, he is perfectly fine with his weight and appearance.
PLAYED BY :: Conor Oberst
PERSONALITY :: Blair Snape is a very shy and quiet young man and he likes it that way. He comes off as cold and unfeeling most of the time but he really does have feelings, they're just rarely allowed to show. Just as his father, Blair can come off as a proud, bitter and very snarky. Just like his mother, he tends to pre-judge others and has a certain distaste for muggles. Those are all habits he picked up all too easily.
When it comes to his studies, Blair takes them very seriously. School is, perhaps, the most important thing to him. One major character flaw that he sees in himself but hasn't yet been able to fix is his eagerness to seek the approval of others. If it's not from his parents or his professors, it's from his closer group of friends. Though he hates to be taken advantage of, his necessity for approval from others usually gets him walked all over.
The biggest thing that sets Blair apart from his parents is that he does have a certain "hero complex" when it comes to his friends and his younger siblings. If someone is in trouble, he won't hesitate to jump right in. He also had a knack for being a proper gentleman with the ladies...if only he could get over his nerves around that one girl whom he fancies.
FLAWS :: Anti-social, seeks approval, prejudges people
LIKES :: Potions, DADA, studying, silence, Hogwarts, reading
DISLIKES :: Being walked over, sunny days, lame music, social gatherings, pointless classes
LIFE&&HISTORY
HISTORY :: Born to a cold, careless man like Severus Snape, it was only natural that the eldest of the Snape children grew up just as quiet and anti-social as his father had been before him. His mother, being the sister and daughter of pureblood Slytherins and former death eaters, was a very domineering woman who expected perfection from her son. Even despite the Ministry cracking down on the use of unforgivable curses, Vanora didn't mind slipping in the occasional cruciatus to keep her little boy in line.
Then it happened. The worst possible day of Blair's life. At least that was what he'd thought when he walked into the room to see his mother holding a baby girl. He hadn't wanted a younger sibling at all but he was disgusted that he couldn't at least have been given a little brother to duel with. As the two grew up together, he found that she was nothing more than an annoying little tag-along. No matter what he did, he simply couldn't shake her. Eventually, he got used to having a shadow and, even though he said he hated her, he really didn't mind it as much. Upon the birth of the youngest Snape child, Blair actually showed interest in having another younger sibling to teach everything he knew.
Upon turning eleven years old, Blair was shipped off to Hogwarts, away from Lilith and Ellis, to be sorted into Gryffindor house. His parents weren't exactly happy about the sorting, considering they'd expected him to be in Slytherin, but they still expected him to excel. He was led to believe, from a very early age, that the only way he would make anything of himself was to get perfect marks in every class he took. In order to please his parents, Blair began to focus completely on his school work. Friends, social life and girls all took a back seat to his quest for knowledge and academic perfection. It wasn't as though he would have been the most popular boy in school anyway.
Being shy, quiet and intelligent did have its perks. He never ever found himself in trouble during school and Blair was usually a favourite of the Hogwarts professors. Because of his constant desire to be perfect or gain the acceptance of his superiors, the studious student found that it wasn't always as difficult to be the best. His only problem outside of class was his lack of friends all together. Studying was important but by the time he'd reached fourth year, Blair could tell that there was still something missing. Hence, he tried, on numerous occasions, to gain the approval of his peers only to fall short every single time.
At least by fifth year, everyone was studying more than ever for their O.W.L exams so there was little to no time for social lives. Now, in his sixth year, Blair is yet to see just how well he can cope with trying to make and keep friends...

COLOR :: -edit-
Custom Title :: Mister Misunderstood
RP SAMPLE :: Taken from my Marauders Site"How is that Mister Snape?" the witch asked as Severus opened his eyes. He grunted in displeasure as his only response to the young woman's question. No treatment could help with his ghosts. Digging through the pocket of his dark, slightly tattered cloak, he pulled out the agreed upon payment and tossed it onto the tray that had been sitting beside his chair. Without a further word to anyone at Mnemosyne Clinic for Memory Modification, Severus Snape exited with a scowl etched upon his face.
Ever since the loss of his beloved, he'd been searching for some method or another to alter his memory or completely remove what he'd witnessed but none seemed to work. It wasn't as though he could simply walk into the Ministry and demand that the finest of obliviators erase the very bit of memory that prevented him from sleep and caused him so much stress and horror. It was all a lesson and a very well taught one at that. Severus had learned how to not let himself get attached. It would only end in heartbreak and more nightmares.
Standing in the street just outside of the clinic, Snape looked down each side of the sidewalk in careful concentration as he debated where he wanted to go now. Heading straight back to Hogwarts was not the most alluring option. Of course he enjoyed disciplining those obnoxious and arrogant little brats but he had the rest of the day to do with however he so desired. If he returned to the castle, it would just mean more time in his room spent dwelling upon the past. A past that would never go away.
