Evie nodded. "Yup. Dad's always there... with the same line.... 'Gabby leave the girl alone... Let her be.' But.. of course... Mom always says... 'She's exactly what you called her.. a girl! Why should she be able to wear that!?' Then Dad... 'So she can be happy...' Geez... So many expectations to live up to..." She sighed again then hugged Katherine. "Hey... Swear you wont change...? I wanna be able to call you when I wanna throw on some jeans & go to the beach... or something like that. Promise?"

Katherine could relate to everything that Evie was saying. Her mum would throw fits and nag about how she was a girl and should dress like one while her dad defended her and said she should be allowed to wear what she wanted. The only thing that really did bug her was the shopping events when her mum mentioned that she needed to go on a diet and wear thinner clothes. It about made her want to curse her mother at times. No wonder she lacked self-esteem when it came to wearing shorts and dresses!

"Trust me, I'm not changing...ever! You better not change either. And I think we should also promise to never let so long go by without hanging out or owling or calling...you know, like our dads," Kat suggested. Evie was her absolute best friend and had been since before she could even remember...so the idea of losing touch kind of made her sad.

Evie laughed. "No! Never changing here! And I promise. We cant stop talking... Dad & Seamus.... They were inseperable... but now....." She shook her head. "I dont understand how they let it happen..." Suddenly she popped up. "We should plan an... anniversary for them... or something... Im sure Harry has some pictures of Dad & Seamus. We could make an album... or... something... We should... I dunno... I think it would make them happy... Dont you?" She asked looking at Katherine.

"Yeah, I've seen a few pictures that my mum has and they were always following each other around. It's sad that they just sort of fell out lately," Katherine sighed, remembering how many stories she'd always heard about how her father and Dean were during school and recalling the way they were when the girls were younger. It really was quite depressing to think about. Katherine wasn't going to let that happen between her and Evie.

Hearing the suggestion, Kat smiled again and nodded adamantly. "That's a lovely idea! I bet they'd just adore it. I can get some pictures off my mum and then see if anyone else has any...and I bet they'll be excited," Kat replied enthusiastically. If anyone knew her dad, it was her. She was sure that Evie was the same with her dad as well. At least that's what she assumed anyway.

Evie jumped up. "Crap. That means we should get to it! I mean... I know Colin has pictures of the old DA... It would be great.... OH! Pictures of their weddings... they were both each others best man...." Evie squealed a bit & jumped up & down. "We're gonna make them so happy!" She pulled Katherine up & pulled her towards the door. "Come on Kat! We've got alot to do...! I'll get Jules to.... No... Nevermind.... Only the daughters know their fathers well enough to write a biography... I mean... being first & all..." She laughed.

Katherine listened to how excited her best friend was about the whole anniversary idea and just where they could get plenty of pictures for it. She couldn't help giggling softly. To be honest, she was really enthusiastic about just how happy they would make their fathers with the little event. The next thing she knew, she was being pulled up and toward the door of the room. "Slow down Evie," she giggled, "It's not like they'll be here tomorrow or anything. I'd still have to wait on my mum to send me the pictures...unless I can floo home...but that'll take some convincing of my head-of-house."

"Indeed. If anyone knows my dad, it's me. Even mum, who's bloody head over feet for him, doesn't listen half the time when he goes on about stuff...so I think we'll do great with setting this up. I'm sure Jules knows plenty about your dad...but no one should know him like his little girl, right? Kat said with a bright smile as she followed Evie out of the room and to only Merlin knew where

Evie laughed. "Head over feet Kat? I could've sworn it was head over heels..." She said in mock thought. She sighed. "Well... Lets at least go to the owlery and get ahold of everyone.... Or... Do you wanna floo there? I wouldnt mind see your mom after years.... and you havent seen my mom.... It would be a cool trip..." She smiled. "Last time I saw your mom she fussed about the way I wore my hair.... All over." She said pulling slightly at her neat ponytail.

Evie grinned as she thought about her dad & Seamus. "I really wish we had pictures here at the school though... It'd be much easier...." She turned around and started looking then stopped. "Hey. What if the room helps? This room. I mean.... earlier I asked for something to drink & a bottle of butterbeer appeared.... Think it's worth a try?"

Sighing softly to herself, Katherine shook her head and just let the statement go rather than even commenting upon it. Instead, she went to work thinking on who all she could owl for photographs of her father and uncle Dean together during their school years and even after school. Surely there had to be tonnes of them floating around. She gathered that her mum would have billions of them and Evie's mum would as well. Then there were the other people who had gone to school with Seamus and Dean.

"I don't know. I guess if the room can offer things then we should probably start here and then send out a few owls," Katherine suggested thoughtfully, "And if that doesn't pan out, I suppose we could arrange to floo off campus and have a gander to see what we can come up with. How does that sound?" It might not have been the best of methods but it did at least seem logical in Katherine's mind.

Evie nodded slightly then started to thinking about pictures of her dad & Seamus. "I dunno Kat... Maybe you should do it... " She sat down & looked up at Katherine. She sighed. "It'll probably take forever. Let's just go and we'll get others involved... It'll be funner if we got other close family friends to help with this project." She laughed a little. "You know Neville always tells stories when he sees a picture... We'll get to hear how it was then..."

She looked around the room slightly then stood up and walked to the door. "What do you say? Yay? or Nay?" She said softly, still afraid of being caught. "We can leave now and work on those owls... or we can stay in here for a few more hours trying to figure out if the room can give us pictures from two decades ago...... Your choice."

Katherine wasn't sure exactly what they were going to do about the picture thing. She'd made her suggestion but she wasn't sure if Evelyn agreed with it. It was almost like they'd went from 'excited and ready to set things up' to 'apprehensive and not sure what to do' in a matter of only a few minutes. She supposed that was how things usually went when it came to planning things. Since Kat rarely did the planning part of things, she wasn't exactly sure how it usually went.

"I say that whatever you plan is what we'll do. How about that?" Katherine said with a smile, still standing right were she'd been left earlier. Though she was older than Evie, she was usually the one to follow along with things rather than lead. She didn't actually mind doing so either.

Evie shrugged. "Then we're completely screwed. "I totally dont know... I think asking around would be much more fun than sitting in here. Seriously. I hate this room at the moment... I mean... COME ON! It couldnt even supply a bed in here. Im tired." She chuckled then turned the knob of the door. "Come on... Lets just get out of here. We can go the the owlery and write to everybody we know. I know a spell that will duplicate one letter into many letters so we wont have to write OVER and OVER again...." She looked outside the door. "Is that cool? I mean... It's both of our project and I dont want to leave you out of the decision making...."

Katherine let her eyes wander around the room listlessly as she took in what Evie had to say. As she gazed around, she pondered what form the room took when her father was in it. Little things like that usually seemed to come to mind and really get her thinking. Since Seamus was the epitome of everything his daughter wanted to be, Kat tended to try to follow in his footsteps at every possible chance. From small things like nervous tendencies to bigger things like career choices and planning the rest of her future out to make him happpy.

Torn from her silly little thoughts, she let her attention fall back to Evie. She, of course, had only half heard what her friend said but she nodded anyway and replied, "Yeah...letters will work. I know it's both of our project but you're probably much better at planning and stuff...which is why I'm letting you take control over it."

Evelyn shook her head. "Im not better at planning. Im just really excited about the whole project." She sighed. "It'll be nice to see my dad smile like he does around Seamus again. He only gives those half smiled nowadays. Its kind of annoying because you never know if he's smiling or if he's about to start talking..." She laughed.

She thought for a minute. "I should get Jules' help on this. I mean... Im the oldest and Im dad's little girl... But thats his first son... They bond on weird things... Like muggle sports..." She smirked. "There's a game called... Fookball... Foolball... FOOTBALL! Thats it. I think its pretty entertaining... . Guys with tight pants on... And there are some super sexy players...." She went into a trance-like state for a while then snapped out of it. "But anyway... Yeah... He could... make something. You know how Jules is a great artist and all that."

"You're brill at planning Evie. I'm just so-so with stuff like that. I'm much better at Quidditch and weird things like muggle sport," giggled Kat with a grin. She absolutely loved good old English footy...but not quite as much as she did Quidditch. Nothing could ever compare to playing Quidditch; especially when her dad was there to watch. Even though he'd never played for his house team when he went to Hogwarts, Katherine figured she was giving him a way to live through her when he'd come to the matches. It was the best feeling in the world.

Thinking about it more, she made a face of confusion. Looking at Evie with a questioning look, she asked, "Pants? I don't think I've ever seen footy players wearing pants. They usually have shorts." She was puzzled over the whole discussion until she finally realized what her Gryffindor friend was referencing. Laughing softly, she shook her head and mumbled, "Gridiron..."

Evie smiled. "I love Quidditch... Cant wait for our first game..." She lightly shoved Katherine. "When the Lions and the Bagders play... We're so gonna win. You just wait and see. Gryffindor's gonna murder Hufflepuff on the field." She laughed and nodded. "Yes. Pants. And I mean American football! You know my dad loves to look in on America." She shook her head. "Sometimes I just dont know what to do with the pair of them..." She said, referring to her father and her younger brother. "Mom laughes her head off everytime the come back from America. Dad apparates with Jules... Mom goes crazy." She laughed, thinking about her family and the craziness that revolved around them.
