It was a surprisingly beautiful day, and yet a beautiful day never the less. Whether it was because of its simplicity or subtly or both Ben was unsure. The only thing he knew was that something had drawn him out of bed from the Hufflepuff Common rooms and it defiantly wasn't because he was looking forward to his classes for day. But for whatever reason the day had for showing its beauty Ben was thankful, it was his first reason to escape the confounds of the School and be out with nature since he arrived.
The day had given him a stunning morning by the Black Lake, that seemed to continue on into pleasing afternoon near the forest. Although the exact time of day was unsure to him Ben knew that he had time for at least one more sketch before classes called. He had already completed multiple pictures, none of which were completely finished but after each one Ben convinced himself it would be a work in progress.
As Ben continued his journey along towards the Hut his big honey brown eyes glanced down at his hands that carried the precious cargo. They were severely stained with artistic inspiration as the charcoal that was used darkened his hands with each sketch he completed. The most recent of which was a small daisy to which he had innocently crossed paths as he strode towards the beckoning forest. Although his nerves were at end he decided the rewards would far out way the risks. With his head held...some what high once again he found his fingers laced delicatly in his hair as he entered the outskirts of the forest unsure of what would happen and hoping for the best.

Lucinda was sitting in the edge of the forest singing at a normal tone the song, My Imortal, By Evanescence. She continued singing as she stroked the soft hair of the baby Deer that was laying next to her. She smiled and continued singing quietly and began sketching the deer in her sketch pad. She smiled happily as it was early morning and quit. The sun was peeking over the horizon very well now and the moon was gone.

Although the sun high above his head was in full swing, beneath the tree canopy the only light visible were shreds squeezing their way through the leaves. It was yet another picture that Ben couldn't resist getting his fingers going at. The simplicity of it all was what drew him in as he stepped quietly through the vegetation mindful to keep watch for stray twigs. After ten minutes of walking further into the fields of tree Benjamin finally decided to find a play to sit and get started on a masterpiece, but only after sitting on a semi-dry stump did the brown haired boy realize how dark it really was in surprisingly serene environment.
From the smirk on his face it seemed as though the boy knew this would happen, so silently he took out his 11" Holly wand and mumbled a word or two to himself and suddenly the end of his wand was bursting with light. With his wand in one hand and the pure black charcoal in the other he went to work, recreating the image before him. The background was a mixture of leaves and trunks although they seemed to come together in one mass. Although the picture was a beautiful sight what was more powerful was the intensity in the Hufflepuff boy as his eyes stared intently at the forest before him and then would stare for a few seconds before swiftly moving his left hand over the textured paper to draw in the desired tree.
It was a while before Benjamin even dared to look up from his sketch and away from the trees, in fear that he may loose the inspiration. After awhile his eyes only saw blurs of leaves and once he swore he saw one of the ghosts but after rubbing his eyes numerous times decided it was just his eyes playing tricks. The few strands of light that remand were growing dimmer with each passing second and Ben finally decided he better move, the only problem was which way. Walking would be the only way to find out and so he set out trying to find a way out of the Forbidden Forest.
The forest seemed to go on forever as his feet started to ache and his hands gripped the book and art tools as if it was the only way to stay alive. Finally after what seemed like hours but was merely minutes, something caught his eyes. Whether at the time he thought it was a mirage or another mind trick he wasn't sure but seeing a bleach blond girl out in the middle of the forest wasn't normal... even if it was at a school for wizards... and he was in a dark, eerie and strange forest.

Lucinda continued to sing as she finished her sketched the deer. After she finished it she set the things down beside her.She stroked the deer and stopped and looked around when she heard a noise. She stood up and took her wand out. She was wearing a jean mini skirt, pink and black striped stockings and converse sneakers and a pink long sleeved shirt. She walked a few steps forward slowly and seen the boy and said, "Who are you?" She kept her wand out and approached him cautiously.

The singing grew in both volume and confidence as the Hufflepuff boy silently neared the girl. His curiosity must have gotten the better of him since he didn't slow down or falter he just continued moving until a small twig beneath his feet broke under the boys weight. In one swift moment the Holly wand was out and at the ready although he didn't point in fear of what could come out at the end of hers.
"Who are you?"
Ben didn't flinch at the sudden question but instead placed his wand back in his pants pocket and walked out from behind the pair of trees to which he was hidden behind. "Ben..." He paused letting his eyes drink up the scene before him. She was a pretty girl no doubt about that but something seemed strange about her, whether it was the clothes or the cold emotion that seemed plastered to her face he didn't know but she would be an interesting girl to get to know never the less.
" Benjamin Holloway." His voice was crystal clear as he walked into the strange somewhat clearing that both Lucinda and Ben had found themselves in. " I'm a 7th year... and you?" His voice was steady which surprised him since he wasn't nearly this calm with most girls but theres a first for everything and this would be a definite first.

"I'm Lucinda, Lucinda Malfoy. Most call me Luci or Luce. I'm a Slytherin 5th year." She said as she put her wand away knowing he ment no harm. "What brings you out here, to the forest?" She asked curiously. She took a few steps forward so they weren't so far apart. She waited patiently for his answer and crossed her arms. She pulled on the sleeves of her shirt as she waited for him to start speaking.
