A single frog croaked repeatedly like a broken record echoing around the lake. It was an irritating sound to some, if they were trying to concentrate on something like school work. There were people who listened to the sound though, just sat there for awhile, thinking the sound was above beautiful and beyond. Everybody wasn't like that, though- most people thought of hexing the frog just to make it shut up for a few minutes. Not everybody had patience, and a lot of people had tempers. Bad tempers- especially teenagers. They were like a ticking bomb, ready to explode when you hit the right button. After they're done destroying everything and everybody around them, they're reset, so they can explode again. It's only a matter of minutes.
The grass was pushed aside as a head peeked through it, the figure jumping suddenly when another croak escaped the frog's mouth. A nose snuffled around, finally finding the source of the noise. It was only natural instinct that caused it to jump on top of the warty creature, but it had almost cat-like reflexes, too, and as soon as it felt paws on its back, it hopped into the lake. A small laugh could be heard, and of course it wasn't from the cat. It seemed to almost frown as it looked around, trying to figure out what had happened. His cat-like reflexes seemed to have stopped for that minute.
"Tigger, come here," she cooed as the calico cat pounced into her lap. Bobbie leaned back against the rough bark of the tree, but moved forward when her chocolate hair seemed to be getting bits of bark in it. That wasn't her point for coming out here, although she really didn't have one. A smile appeared on her face as the cat starting purring, settling comfortable in her lap. She had come out here just to be out here, and her cat seemed bored of the common room. Everybody needed some fresh air once in awhile.
