Dominique had gotten up early that morning since it was a Hogsmeade weekend. She needed to get a few things in Hogsmeade, such as, parchment, quills, ink and she was thinking about getting a few books. As she was making a mental list of what she needed or would like to get she got dressed and ready to go. She put on some black jeans with a light blue short sleeved shirt and she put on a jean jacket since it was a little chilly out. Once dressed she walked out of her Common Room and down the stairs to the Entrance Hall were she walked out the door into the sunshine.
She stood on the steps for a few seconds letting the sun hit her before she started walking again. She put her hands in her jean jacket as she walked slowly down the path that lead to Hogsmeade. She didn't feel like taking the carriages like everyone else was doing. She wanted to walk since she loved being outdoors.
The wind blow her hair in her face since she had left it down today. She ran her hand threw her hair to get it out of her face. That was only bad thing about having long hair. It always ended up in her face. She got to Hogsmeade a few minutes after everyone else did since it took her longer then the others because they took the carriages.
Before getting any of the things that she needed she decided that she wanted to go to the Three Broomsticks to get a butterbeer. She walked towards the Three Broomsticks, not seeing any of her friends while walking there, she pushed open the door. She glanced around the room and seen that there wasn't that many people there since it was still a little early. She shrugged her shoulders and walked over to the waiter was and ordered a butterbeer. She gave the waiter a galleon for it before taking a seat at a table near the center of the room.

Lucinda walked into The Three Broomsticks. She went to the counter and ordered a butterbeer. She put a galleon on the counter and want to the back corner of the pub and sat down at a table. She took a sip of her drink and sighed. Looking around the fairly empty pub she didn't see anyone she knew not even a Slytherin was in site, which didn't bother her. She was no slyhterin even though that was her house.

Melody entered the Three Broomsticks, a couple of galleons on her hands. She ordered a butterbeer, and looked around. Yes, no Gryffindors. Where was everyone anyway? Probably at Honeydukes. Mellie considered for some moments to leave the pub and go to the candy shop, but her butterbeer suddenly arrived. Melody payed for it, and started to look for a table. Yes, there was an empty table near the one a blonde Slytherin was seated. Aack, Slytherins.
Mellie made her way to the table. The place was very crowded, and accidentaly, Mellie let her butterbeer cup fall down on the Slytherin girl table. Mellie couldn't avoid a smile, but it quickly fade away. "Aaack, er, I'm sorry. I think" she apologized trying to avoid a laugh. This was brilliant. Even when she was not bothering with Slytherins, she makes something happen to them. Brilliant.

"Its okay." Lucinda said and cleaned the mess up with a flourish of her wand. She smiled a little and said, "Why are you, a second year, out here in Hogsmeade. you know only third years and up are allowed out of the school? right?" She raised and eyebrow at the small girl and haded the girl the cup back and flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder. She was wearing a pair of short shorts, a red and back striped tube top and a jean crop jacket. On her feet were knee high red and black striped socks and a pair of converse sneakers.

"Its okay."
Melody heard the girl saying. This was strange, it was probably the first time a Slytherin was nice to her. She felt slightly guilty, and suddenly she didn't want to laugh anymore. Mellie watched as the girl cleaned up the mess, and smiled. Melody smiled back.
"Why are you, a second year, out here in Hogsmeade. you know only third years and up are allowed out of the school? right?"
It took Mellie some moments to answer, her smile had faded. How stupid of her, to go around showing herself, a second year, in Hogsmeade, to a Slytherin. Okay, it was rather easy to go out of the school with the third years. She just had to hide from curious gazes, and once in the village, into the crowd. Showing herself to Slytherins wasn't supposed to happen.
Mellie opened her mouth to reply, but she regreted. How would she explain this in a way that wouldn't lead her directly to detention? Because, let's see, the girl was a Slytherin. She would probably turn Melody in. And after that, no more trips to Hogsmeade.
"Oooh, I did this thing, and, aww, you know" Melody babbled. She couldn't run away. If she did so, it was going to be clear that she had no permission to be there. Mellie caughed one time, then another. "Umm... Hot isn't it?" she tried desperatly to change the subject.

"Don't worry. O won't turn you in. I came here when I was in 1st and second year. Don't worry. I understand the castle gets boring." She ran her hand through her hair and said, "But why did you come out?" Lucinda questioned curiously. It was rare that she saw younger ones running around hogsmeade she then asked, "So whats your name? Mines Lucinda, Lucinda Malfoy. But I'm nothing like my family."

Melody felt relieved when the girl said she wouldn't turn her in. "Well, you know. It is getting too boring in the castle, and I had to buy some candies on Honeydukes. And I really wanted to see if Zonko's has new pranks" Mellie answered for the girl's question.
Melody listened as the Slytherin introduced herself "You? You are Lucinda Malfoy?" Melody gasped. She had heard about the Malfoys, and she had never imagined that they could be nice. Not nice enough to strike in a conversation with a 12 year old Gryffindor "Wow. I can see that" Melody added to Lucinda's comment about she not being like the rest of her family.
"Oh, I'm Melody. You can call me Mellie, or Mel. Is it okay if I call you Lucy?" she asked.

"Yes you can call me Lucy. And yes I am a Malfoy. Daughter to biggest prat and on my way of being kicked out of the family." Lucinda said with a small laugh, "Also was almost a gryffindor myself." She ordered a butterbeer and handed it to Melody and said, "Here you go, its on me. You can have a seat it you want to. I don't bite. I promise." She said with a smile and a small laugh.

Melody listened open mouthed to Lucy's words "Really?" was all that she could say. This was so strange. A Malfoy that didn't want to be a Malfoy. Generally people of the Malfoy family are a bunch of showing-offs that hide behind a fancy last name. But yet, it was cool. This was probably the first Slytherin Mellie had a nice conversation with.
"Oh, there is no need!" Mellie said when her butterbeer arrived. I can definately pay for them. I have some galeons with me" Melody said.
"Thank you" Mellie thanked when Lucy invited her to join her. She sat down, and looked at Lucy curiously "I was just wondering... Why aren't you like the other Malfoys?" she asked.

"Well ever since I was real little I've been a seer. And my parents have tried to get me to learn the dark arts and get me to believe in Purebloods are better and muggles and muggle borns were scum and worthless. I always didn't like the ideas and never even tried to learn the dark arts. I didn't want to. My dad has been pretty dumb and hasn't realized I've been lying to him about being all dark and evil like they want me to be. My sister Rosalynn is the same way. My Brother however is like every Malfoy." Lucinda said.
