APPEARANCE&&PERSONLAITY
DESCRIPTION :: Bellatrix Lestrange has always been one of the most attractive witches in all of Europe. In fact, being born into the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, she, just like her sisters, possesses a certain beauty that is rarely, if ever, surpassed by any normal witch. Her fair, and sometimes pale, skintone matches her shining black hair and, when paired with the way she carries herself, gives her a look of royalty. Though, in Bella's rather dark and mysterious eyes, it would be an absolute travesty if she was ever considered anything less than perfection embodied. And, as many would say, she certainly has aged gracefully.
Lestrange has very dark, almost black, thick hair that she inherited from her mother. No matter how she fixes her very curly hair, it nearly always appears as though she just walked out of a wind storm. Though it's been suggested that she use a thorough straightening charm on it, she far prefers the unique (and somewhat psycho) look that goes along with her usually frizzy hair. With proper maintenance, her soft and fluffly hair is quite shiny but doesn't distract from her overall beauty. As far as length, she keeps it average but always puts it up such that it does not fall passed her shoulders.
Standing at 173 cm, Bellatrix can be considered tall and slender. Despite her somewhat smaller frame, Bella does possess a very feminine and curvaceous figure. As such she takes pride in always wearing the best fabrics fitted to flatter her finer attributes. It helps that she has a tendency to wear darker colours, mostly blacks, dark blues and deep greens, considering they go well with her fair skintone.
PLAYED BY :: Helena Bonham Carter
PERSONALITY :: Proud and arrogant, Bellatrix is a prime example of an elitist pureblood lady and she knows it. She will never lower herself to trivial tasks nor professions. After all, she believes that others were put on the earth to serve and she will not hesitate to flaunt her superiority. She also possesses a strong will and an imperious manner along with a huge ego, great ambition and intelligence. There are no grey areas on Bellatrix's world, only black and white, 'them' and 'us'. However, she is very loyal to those who earn her respect and can be very charming when she wants to be. Rarely does she ever show this undying loyalty but there are a few whom she is completely devoted to.
Enjoying the pain of others and finding the torment of Muggles, Mudbloods and other unworthy creatures amusing, she cunningly hides this darker, sadistic side of her nature (except from those who fully appreciate it) in public so that she may move freely in society. Although she is a woman of strong emotions and great passion who is very frightening when she's in a rage, Bellatrix can be patient, biding her time for the right moment to move. What Slytherin isn't the epitome of calm, cool and cunning? She knows when she's lost a battle but ensures that she does win the war. This can only be attributed to her persistence and generally stubborn nature. Even with banned curses being even more banned now, she still finds ways around this; which simply enforces how witty and devious she can be when necessary.
Responsibility and fierce passion are a two other important traits that Bellatrix Lestrange possesses. She is very capable of taking on great responsibilities but only when she chooses to. When things are forced upon her, she turns into a rebellious, mischievous witch with a lack of care for anyone or anything that might get in her way. She is easily frustrated and prone to explode in someone's face if they irritate her enough. This is usually a VERY bad thing since she is rather prone to violence and shrill screaming. In contrast, the very same sort of passion also drives her overly flirtatious and suggestive mannerisms.

LIFE&&HISTORY
HISTORY :: Born to Druella Rosier and Cygnus Black of the "Noble and Most Ancient House of Black" on 23rd of March, Bellatrix Alarice Edlyn was a very small baby but she had all of the best physical attributes worthy enough to automatically make her the pride of both parents. Her original namesake was chosen by both sides with "Bellatrix" meaning 'Female Warrior', "Alarice" translating roughly to 'Ruler of All' and "Edlyn" standing for 'Noblewoman.' Her parents, at the time, knew she was meant for great things but never would they know exactly how close they were when naming their beautiful heiress to the Black estates and finances. Even though she hadn't immediately shown any magical abilities, everyone in the respective Rosier and Black families could tell that the child did possess them.
A particularly enthusiastic and clever child, Bella picked up on magic very quickly. Both her mother and father, though they had been hopeful for a male heir, cherished their daughter and taught her everything they knew. Even at the very early age of only two years, Bella had already become a spoiled brat...but she now had to deal with sharing her parents' attention and affection with her new sister Andromeda. It also meant that she now had someone to taunt and pick on. It wasn't ever anything particularly cruel but most definitely proof of "sisterly rivalry." This also seemed to bring Bella and Meda closer as the younger hit her toddler years. But, unfortunately, this would all change the very evening that Narcissa was brought home. Just the way the youngest Black daughter seemed to take to her oldest sister sealed the deal and bonded Bella and Cissa for life.
It was no surprise the day that Bellatrix received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Needless to say, however, she had something much more important to achieve before either of her parents would show the least bit of pride toward their oldest child. At very first, her mother nearly opted to take the girl directly to the school such that chances at this goal couldn't possibly be tainted by their daughter being exposed to filthy blood but Cygnus insisted that Bellatrix was wise enough to know which sort she could mingle with. Just hearing her parents discuss this, Bella decided, straight away, that she would be suspicious of everyone and only let those who had thoroughly proven their worth and purity get close enough. As fate would have it, on the train to Hogwarts, she would happen upon one such person. Naturally, she was instantly charmed but even an eleven year old Bella still had her pride and refused to let on what she thought and felt.
Sorted into Slytherin house, just like the rest of her family, the first year knew more magic, especially of the darker nature, than most of her fellow students. All through school, she proved just how much better she was than others. In her mind, this only came as more evidence of how pathetic and useless all muggleborn and halfblood scum really were. To her fellow Slytherins, she constantly voiced this opinion. It wasn't until her third year, though, that she and a group of her closest friends (including a certain pureblood boy) first did something about it. They were, however, caught by a prefect and reported to their head of house. It was most fortunate that Bellatrix did possess a certain knack for speech and was able to get them off with a few house points taken and a slightly wounded pride. In her mind, though, it was very well worth watching the Hufflepuff mudblood suffer...and bringing her closer to her newest goal.
In seventh year, Bellatrix buckled down on her studies and passed nearly all of her N.E.W.T exams with the highest of scores. That success paled in comparison to her other minor success though. Seventh year was the first time she'd made a serious move on one Rodolphus Lestrange. They'd always been friends and she'd had a crush on him from the very start...they'd even casually flirted from time to time but her affections were hidden from everyone minus the diary she kept. Nonetheless, toward the middle of their seventh year, Bella had proven to her intended that she had claimed him (but still allowed him to think that he was the dominant one...just for show). Hence, once school finished, they started on a little crusade of their own.
Being that Bellatrix and Rodolphus had shown themselves to the right people, it was no shock when they were given word about a dark uprising. At first, Trix was incredibly apprehensive about following some no-named wizard who hadn't done anything to prove how great he was but her mind would soon change. Almost instantly, she found herself lured in by the witty, charming and striking Lord Voldemort and his quest to purify their world. Each year that passed by seemed to draw her closer and closer to the leader of their newly formed band of warriors who had chosen to don the name "Death Eaters." The more power their Dark Lord gained, the more she was willing to prove herself to him; to prove her worth and show him just how devoted she was. During this time, she and Rodolphus had gone through a small "falling out" but they were far too busy with their assignments to think much of it. It did, however, reinforce her desire to please the Dark Lord because, as she saw it, he would never abandon her nor the rest of his loyal followers.
At the end of the first battle, Bella found herself, along with her husband and several others, imprisoned in Azkaban wizarding prison. During which time, she kept faith that the Dark Lord would return. Every single day, she constantly reminded her guards, and anyone else that could possibly hear her shrill shrieks, that "The Dark Lord will rise again...keep us here in Azkaban, we will wait." For her blind devotion, she would be greatly repaid when he did, indeed, come to power a second time. Shortly after the rise of their powerful Dark Lord, Belltrix and her husband, along with others, were freed from their cells and left to roam the wizarding world seeking their revenge. All the while, she continued in her pursuit to please her superior. Unfortunately, when he was finally defeated, she found herself thrust into a state of nothingness...a state of non-being...death.
For how long she was gone, she knew not but, all the same, it mattered not either once she was brought back. For the first month or two, Bellatrix Lestrange found herself mourning the loss of her beloved leader. Shockingly enough, it took her husband, Rodolphus "the not always sane" Lestrange, to bring her out of a serious depression and make her realize that they'd had a good run but they were lucky to simply be alive. With her renewed sense of being, Bella and Rodolphus gave their marriage another go and discovered that it could actually work in a non-violent world. What's more, they'd done something they hadn't even thought about in their previous lives: they had children. Even in this new, calm world, Bellatrix and Rodolphus insisted that their children be brought up the same way they each had. As such, the children were taught, from the earliest of ages, how much better they were because of their pure and noble blood. The children were also raised under strict rules and forced to believe in the pureblood lifestyle.

RP SAMPLE :: Taken from a Marauders Site I've RPed on for monthsLifting a hanger from its resting place on the rack against a side wall of the shop, Bellatrix examined the article much more closely. Her eyes moved over the slender silk slip done all in black. She didn't see how something so alluring should be worn under some puffy ball gown or showy dress. If it hung off her curves the way she assumed it would, Bella intended to test the school dress code as soon as she got back onto the grounds of Hogwarts. Her lips arched into a thin, malcontent smile as she slid her fingertips across the fabric and paused at the small bit of lace near the straps. As usual, her mind delved into places it sincerely shouldn't have been but it was always something she couldn't help. It wasn't as if anything would come if it anyway.
"Rodolphus Lestrange! Come here this instant!"
Suddenly stripped from her thoughts, Bellatrix's head shot up instantly and her dark eyes darted to the direction she'd heard the voice. Maybe she'd misheard? Bella didn't know if she wanted to be mistaken or if she'd actually hoped that she wasn't but there was no time to think about things like that. As she watched the figure of her fellow seventh year Slytherin emerge into the empty space just near the older woman, Bella smirked. She wasn't mistaken.
As if her certainty and instinct finally kicked in, the tall, dark haired girl swept across the shop toward Rodolphus. She hadn't bothered to put the skimpy piece of clothing away. Instead, she kept it dangling in her hand as she approached the boy. This would be the perfect time to tease and torment him in her own flirtatious little way. Stopping just beside him, she smirked and casually noted, "Fancy running across you here." As she spoke, she absentmindedly lifted the silky slip up and danced her fingers across the material.
