Roxanne Weasley was pretty much what you would expect from the daughter of George Weasley. She was fun loving, easy going, mischeviouse, a prankster with a capital 'P', friendly, and loyal. But she also had a stuborn, some would say bitchy, streak to her that could often get her into arguments, trouble, or worse.
She also tended to make friends with very random people, some of which her father would definately not approve of. Like the guy she was looking for right now: Mr. Blair Snape. Their friendship would be generally frowned apon by most of her family and other friends. But it was a pretty strong friendship, heck the guy had litterally saved her life at one point.
So they kept their friendship secret for the most part. It worked out that they were so different that most people would never suspect they could actually be friends.
But here they were, and here she was looking for her secret friend. She hadn't seen much of him in the last few days, and wanted to make sure everything was ok... plus she missed him!
She'd already scanned the fourth floor and most of the third. So now she pushed open the door to the Trophy room, not holding out much hope that he'd be in there. But it was the next place to look.

Darkness. Nothing more than pure darkness and silence. The cold wall and even colder flagstone floor sent chills through his body as the lone Gryffindor boy sat quietly in the darkness. Knees pulled up and forehead rested upon said knees, he merely existed in the empty room. His dark, deep eyes were hidden away by their pale lids but it would have been nearly impossible to see them well enough. The corner where he was sat didn't provide much light at all and even less with the trophy room door shut tightly.
Blair Snape had just barely escaped the jests and taunting from a small group of older boys and managed to see sanctuary in the only place he was sure that nearly no one ever came. The trophy room was a magnificent place if one really paid proper attention to it but no one usually did. As such, it was the most perfect of places to hide in peace and quiet until he was sure the dolts were gone. With they way they bumbled on stupidly, it could be hours before they vacated the corridor to find someone or something else to torment.
Pulling his knees up even tighter, Blair sighed quietly to himself. At least there were a select few whom he could trust and consider actual friends. As he sat in silence, he went over this list in his head. Firstly, there was his beloved Lil and ickle Ellis. They were flesh and blood...sometimes the only ones you can trust. Then he had Kat, his helpful Hufflepuff. Finally, of everyone in his own house, the only one he could associate himself with easily enough was Roxanne Weasley. Their friendship was one of the best kept secrets but he still felt as though he could trust her.
Something shifted and groaned softly, pulling Blair from his quiet contemplation. He opened his eyes and tried his best to adapt to the new light that was beaming through the open door. From what his squinted eyes could tell, there was a figure standing in the doorway but he could not make out who it was due to his still adjusting eyes and the fact that he was in a far corner and half hidden by a shelf and shadows.

Roxy pushed through the door to the Trophy room. It was always kind of dark in here, especially today after the brightness in the rest of the school. As her eyes adjusted she scanned the room looking for Blair.
Not seeing him right away she stepped fully in and let the door shut as a group of laughing guys walked past. She caught just enough of what they where laughing about to know they'd been torturing Blair again. Feeling her face get hot with anger at the idiotic people in this school she walked farther into the room. "Blair! You in here?" she half whispered, making sure the guys still outside wouldn't hear.
Walking through the shelves of trophies she was still looking for her friend. But she stopped quickly infront of the Quiditch championship cup, she always did. She let her eyes rake over it as she listened for a possible response from Blair. It always made herself feel good to see her mother and fathers names on the cup, along with her aunt Katie and Uncle Harry. ooc:: sorry, crappy post!

Careful ears could hear the loud voices of that group of boys laughing heartily as they walked by the now shut door. Mentally, Blair groaned. The whole lot of them were nothing more than daft bullies that were just barely passing most of their classes anyway. That was probably why they'd taken to picking on him. He was intelligent and knew it. They knew it too but they also knew that he was the son of two Slytherins and that his little brother had managed to make it into Slytherin house. It was one thing for a girl to be placed in another house...especially if it was Ravenclaw house. But for the first born son wind up in the rival house of Slytherin...Blair was practically doomed. Slytherins hated him. Gryffindors disliked him. Hufflepuffs didn't trust him and Ravenclaws couldn't care any less about him.
The sound of his visitor's footsteps moved further into the room, he strained his eyes to see just who it was. The figure was obviously that of a female but he had no clue exactly which female until he heard her voice. It may have been nothing more than a half whisper but he could tell who the young lady was. Almost instantly, the corners of his lips arched upward into a small smile. Not only was it someone he trusted but she was actually looking for him specifically.
Getting up from his hiding place in the corner, he listened a moment more only to discover that her footsteps had stopped. Blair didn't want to scare her but he had every intention of giving his friend a little surprise. Almostly silently, he strolled across the Trophy room toward her. It was hard to keep his shoes from making any sounds against the stone floor but he moved slowly. It would take so much longer but it would be well worth it to surprise his dearest friend Roxanne. Once he had gotten close enough, Blair put his hands over her eyes from behind and leaned forward to whisper, "Guess who, Roxy." {ooc: It's cool. Roxy was so engrossed in looking at the variouse names on the cup that she wasn't taking much notice of anything else, and had momentarily forgotten her search for Blair. There were many names on the cup that she recognized, a few of which were her own relatives. She'd only made the quiditch team in the last year and they'd narrowly been defeated in the final game. She was determined that her name would be added to that cup by the end of this year. And she'd been training hard to accomplish that.
As she stood there staring at the cup she didn't notice the tiny sounds of someone moving in the room, or perhaps they were too quiet for her to hear. Either way she was thoroughly surprised when someone put their hands over her eyes and whispered in her ear. She shreiked and jumped in the air, away from the hands over her eyes. Turning quickly she saw who had been behind the surprise, "Blair! Oh I just might kill you! You almost gave me a heart attack!" she said putting a hand over her heart.
As she calmed down she looked closely at her friend, underneath the surface she could tell he wasn't perhaps in the best of moods. Smiling at him fully now she stepped back so she was closer, "Where the bloody hell have tou been? I've been looking for you fo probably 2 hours now!" she told him crossing her arms and putting on a fake stern look.

The sound of her frightened shriek hadn't been entirely unexpected. After all, he'd snuck up on the poor girl and put his hands over her eyes. Naturally, one would be startled at having something like that done. The best part of it all, though, was the fact that she hadn't turned on him and pulled her wand. In nearly all situations where the subject is startled, the natural code of all living things, otherwise called 'flight or fight', kicked in. Being that Roxy was a Gryffindor and most Gryffindors had a knack for the 'fight' part, he would not have been surprised if she'd hexed him. Blair was, nonetheless, thankful that she hadn't.
"I assure you, Miss Roxanne Weasley, that I had no intention of sending you to hospital for cardiac arrest," said Blair apologetically, a smile threatening to form upon his lips. Though he'd frightened her and she'd practically threatened to muder him for it, there was something calming in the fact that they were alone in the Trophy room. At least here, away from curious eyes and ears, they could be friends. It was somewhat disheartening that they were not allowed an open friendship but Blair would take this at face value.
Standing his ground, the eldest Snape boy allowed his dark, shadowy orbs to take in every attribute of Roxy's face as she stepped closer. With the poor lighting, her attributes looked even more rich and mysterious than they normally did. As Blair's mind wrapped around these thoughts, he recalled how her skin had an almost golden hue and how she glowed in the sunlight. It was not until her stern voice snapped him from his thoughts that Blair realized that she had been addressing him. A silly and slightly embarrassed look fell upon his face as he replied, "I hadn't thought you'd actually come looking for me. Surely a brilliant and popular young lady as yourself shouldn't be bothered to find a reclusive outcast like me. Nonetheless, Miss Weasley, I am sincerely apologetic for not being easier to find."
As the words continued to pour out of his lips, Blair's expression changed once more. It was nearly impossible for him to frown or remain embarrassed in the presence of one of his very few friends. It is often said that 'in a friend, on finds confidence and self-esteem.' Blair was also reminded of an even more valuable quote that he'd once read: 'But if the while I think on thee, dear friend, All losses are restored and sorrows end.'

Roxanne quickly calmed herself down after her scare. She always found it hard to stay anything but happy when she was around her friends. They always had a calming affect on her. She had to laugh as Blair appologized for frightening her, "Well good then, if you had i would say that we would have a problem here!" she said smirking her half smile towards him.
Looking at him closely she looked to try and make sure he really was ok, gazing into his eyes as he answered her quetion she noticed he looked slightly embarassed, but happy now which was a good thing. "Well what can i say? Sometimes the briliant, popular crowd can be extremely shallow and idiotic. As such i find myself drawn to more interesting, and sincere people, such as yourself Mr. Snape." she told him laughing, but she had been completely truthfull. She did tend to find her regular friends a bit anoying at times, even mean. That was especially true of Remus, Sirius and James, sometimes, but she still loved them.
She decided to leave the matter of why he'd been in the trophy room all alone till later, she figured he probably wouldn't tell her anyways, o best to let it rest for a bit.

Her beautiful laugh forced an actual smile to Blair's otherwise emotionless face. He supposed that it was what friends were for, making others smile that is. It made him wonder how he'd been so fortunate to actually make friends with some of the most important people in his life. Then he also pondered how girls had been the only ones that gave him a chance and got to know him despite his cold personality and surname. It may not have seemed like much in comparison with his fellow Gryffindors, he was thankful for at least that much.
"Shallow and idiotic," he repeated softly. The words soaked in but he could not disagree with her. The people whom she mostly associated herself with were exactly the sort that he constantly warned his sister not to hang out with. The last thing in the world he wanted was for his beloved Lilith to be exposed to people that would hurt her. He hated the idea of any girls getting hurt and he would do what he could to protect them but he would actually kill for his younger sister and little brother. No one would be allowed to hurt or compromise Lilith or Ellis without giving some sort of retribution for it. A very fitting retribution for their crime.
Thoughtfully, Blair inquired, "What draws you to the superficial and, as you so eloquently put it, idiotic type, Miss Weasley? You're an intellectual and lovely young lady that shouldn't be reduced to associating with that sort if you have the option against it." Blair had always thought highly of Roxanne but he couldn't grasp why she would want to spend time with people that could be so cruel and shallow that they toy with females for fun. It was nearly enough to make the eldest Snape boy sick to his stomach and bitterly irritated at the other boys.

Roxy felt herself grin widely as Blair smiled. It wasn't very often that she got to see his smile, which was unfortunate because he had a very cute one. He usually never smiled when she saw him out int he crowded halls of Hogwarts. It always killed her when she saw him walking through the halls looking so misserable, and knowing that she couldn't just go give him a hug to make him feel better. She really hated the situation they were in, and a large part of her wanted to just say screw it and let the world know she was friends with a Snape. It's not like his father had turned out to be as eveil as everyone had originally thought. But her family and friends would never allow it, and she was affraid they would take it out on Blair.
Roxy listened to Blairs question, she knew it would come up. It always tended to when they were together, and when she listened to Blair talk about it she did have to admit it didn't make much sense. But then she'd see James, Remus, Sirius and Jason around and she couldn't help but love the boys. "Well as half of the people included in those categories are my relatives I really have noe choice. And the other half I've known forever." she told him chuckling a bit.
"They really aren't that bad Blair. I know they've been terrible to you, and they can be stupid and mean at times. But really they're great guys. Besides you and maybe one or two other people, there's no one i feel closer to or that I trust more." she told him truthfully. She knew it probably wouldn't make a difference, heck she tried the same sort of thing with those guys whenever they'd start ragging on Blair. But they wouldn't listen to her and she was damn sure Blair wouldn't either.

It was not uncommon for Blair Snape to remain completely silent, even after others had spoken. He preferred to think things through rather than open his mouth like a fool. As her words reached him, he pondered everything over and over. It was understandable enough that she would still think highly of her friends despite how they treated others but Blair would certainly not have any of it. He would keep to his usual life and do as he always did. To him, especially now, most people had no real use. They were like pawns on a chess board. They could be moved and manipulated as necessary but Blair would play no part. He would not allow himself to be moved as a part of someone else's strategy. His life was his own and no one else's. He, and he alone, controlled his fate.
"Indeed," was his only response to her reasoning. If she wanted to keep that company then it was her business, not his. Besides, he was merely a friend that she kept around in secret. It was not as though she, a Gryffindor, was trying to be friends with a Slytherin. No. That was not the case at all. The more he thought about it, the more he considered the way his life was going. As it was, he could trust few already but, with his sister being so defiant, he found it even harder to make or keep friends. His Hufflepuff friend would always be there without hesitation or secrecy. His precious, angelic Ravenclaw would be there...as long as there was no intervention by her brother. What more was there than that?
Another moment of silent thought passed slowly before Blair calmly stated, "Perhaps I should allow you to get back to whatever business you need to tend to. It's been a pleasure Miss Weasley." Giving her a very short nod, he started for the door. Troublesome and teasing boys, or not, he had every intention of finding somewhere to be alone again. At least then he could feel unconditionally accepted by the shadows and lonely silence. Better yet, perhaps he would encounter the same young lady he'd met whilst keeping to himself previously.
