Sirius was the type of guy who loved to piss people off. It was one of the things that made his day, that and perhaps hitting on or corrupting young ladies. Although he was really a sweet, nice guy he tended to hide it well with his cocky, mean attitude. All of this combined to make him many enemies, but he wasn't overly concerened by that. He had 4 best friends already; Remus, James, Jason and Roxy. What did he need more for?
But the one thing no one would ever guess about dear Mr. Lupin was that he was that the reason he treated girls so badly, and only ever used them for a bit of action, was that he was jaded. Ever since his first day at Hogwarts he'd seen the girl of his dreams, granted she was a couple of years older than him and in the wrong house, but Alana Lestrange had really done a number on him.
No one knew this of course, especially her. The two seemed to have a perfect hatred for each other, they constantly argued and Sirius was quite apt at pulling some harsh pranks on her.
But now he was out in the forbidden forest, clearing his head. He'd just come from a day of girls asking him left right and centre if he would go to the dance with them, and him truning them down just as quickly. He wanted to go alone, because he was determined he would wrangle a dance out of the ellusive miss. Lestrange. But for now the quiet and darkness of the forrest calmed him. He'd always been one to enjoy nature and especially by moon light, maybe it came from having a werewolf as a father.

It was cold and harsh outdoors; definitely the type of weather that suited Alana emotionally. Still, that did not justify her reason for going outdoors without any other cover up but a small neon green jacket bright enough to blind anyone. Considering Alana's particular attitude, the jacket was probably designed to do more than just blind.
People took many guesses why that was particularly true. Why was Alana who she was? Why was she so cruel that no human being could reach the emotion deep inside of her? The question was unanswerable, because Alana had many reasons why she was who she was. In Alana's mind, everyone had to pay for everything that had every happened to her. When her mother died, everyone paid. It was the attitude her father used to get his way, and it had rubbed off. Nothing ever justified hurting other people, even if she had been hurt, but to Alana, life was unfair, and she was just evening out the world.
Though she would not admit it, he was on her mind tonight. Such a coincidence that he was here now, at the spot she came when her own intense hatred became too much. Alana hissed from behind him, her normal Slytherin behavior wouldn't fool him to who it might be. He was the forbidden fruit, the forbidden love if you could really call it that. She was the type that didn't feel anything other than pure hatred for people; very rarely she'd be amused by someone and take them under her wing. But then... he entered Hogwarts. She didn't know who he was at first, only that the vague familiarity pained her a little. Then when she had been informed, after asking in her most commanding voice, that he was a Lupin; her breath caught in her throat and she caught his eyes, giving him a disgusted and pained look. Her quick answers were exceptionally cruel for him. She would not let herself believe a thing that her body told her when she was around him. It was not a Lestrange thing to do, like a Gryffindor.
As her eyes began to focus under the moonlight, she felt herself lean against a tree, the shape of her body shadowed slightly. "You're breaking the rules, Lupin" she hissed, not even a smirk on her face.

Sirius had just barely registered that he was no longer alone when he heard a tell tale hiss from behind him. Smiling wickedly to himself he didn't even bother turning around, "Well well well, if it isn't the Queen Snake!" he said in his deep, quiet voice.
Smirking at her comment he just sighed to himself. Tutting he finally turned to face her, "Well you caught me Lestrange, are you going to cuff me now?" he asked her raising an eyebrow at his last comment.
He really did love to torture the girl. Although she was his forbiden, secret love, he would never admit it. And he'd rather die then let on that he could possibly have feelings for a Slytherin! The thought it self made him sick. And even though some part of him persisted in making his stomache flip over and his heart clench anyt ime he looked into those evil brown eyes, there was another part that hated the mere site of her. He may be cocky, and mean and cruel at times, but he was nothing, nothing compared to Alana Lestrange.
Let's just fac eit, the girl was the forbidden, poisoned apple.

Alana stared at her manicured finger nails as she leaned on the tree, the bored sort of look she was giving was obviously going to change soon. "I'm flattered." she mocked him, "you know the sound of my voice." She passed right by the snake queen comment, she sure felt like the Queen. Smugly, even though she knew it was a mocking comment, she liked the title.
The innocent look imprinted on her face as she sauntered forward towards him. "I bet you'd like that, Lupin." She immediately raised her nose to the air, giving him a disgusted look like he'd just told her he was in love with her... A nagging thought told her that it probably wasn't the way she would act if that happened anyway. She shrugged it away, the disgusted look spreading, meeting her eyes.
He hadn't yet looked at her, as she stood behind him, hand on her hip and eyes shining with ferocity. The snake in her definitely ready for the lion in him.

Sirius couldn't help but roll his eyes a tad in reality he had recognized her voice, but she didn't need to know that. "Well I should return the favor, seeing as you recgonized me in the dark. Didn't know you cared that much." he told her with a low chuckle acompanying it.
He could hear her come up behind him, but still didn't want to turn around and have to look into those deep eyes. I bet you'd like that, Lupin he heard her say. Laughing fully now he turned his head just enough to peer at her through the corner of his eye, "Oh let's not delude ourselves here Alana. I think we both know you'r the one who likes to be tied up." he told her smirking, a certain light dancing in his eyes.
He was trying hard not to let his mind wander to a mental picture that his conversation was sparking. Turning back to the moon he closed his eyes and breathed in deeply. FInally turning to face her fully he stepped forwards so that they were mear inches apart, "And what, prey tell, is her majesty doing out in the dark, all alone?" he asked her raising an eyebrow, he knew she'd loved the title he'd given her earlier, but he hadn't meant it as much of a compliment... well maybe the queen part.

It wasn't like her to admit that she'd been defeated but she didn't really have to admit defeat, now did she? As persistent as she was, Alana smirked at his answer. "Hasn't anyone ever told you that in the night time, people always see the things they don't want to see the least, Lupin?" Alana's eyes narrowed. "You should know." Her eyebrows shot up. It had always been this way with them... the love/hate she shared with no one else. Sexual tension, it wasn't anything new to them.
He was now laughing, and she couldn't help feeling that they were a lot less harsh now that they weren't in public. This was definitely not some of Alana's best banter. She suddenly felt his gaze, only it didn't quite burn into her as it usually did. He was staring at her clearly. "my my, you do have a wild imagination about me, Lupin." she hissed quietly. "If I didn't have my back up string on hand, I might be offended." she said it cooly, a smirk rising on her face and realizing now she was being way too nice.
Alone in her thoughts as he was in his, she couldn't help but wonder why her glare had faltered before. Before she knew it, he was standing right in front of her, the glare back in her eyes. "I'm not scared of the big bad wolf." she hissed suggestively in response to his question.

Sirius had to laugh inwardly to himself, it was always so complicated with Alana. The fact that they could never, and would never if they had their way, get along. Yet the nagging feelings he knew he felt, and suspected some small part of her felt as well.
Grinning wickedly at her response Sirius could feel himself tense alittle, she was being a tad too nice for his comfort, it threw him off. "Well you do tend to give me lots to work with Lestrange." he told her purposely eyeing her up, although the site was far from dissapointing.
He couldn't help but look down into her eyes when they were standing so close. It was almost imposible for him to look away. And he saw a bit of the mask she always kept up, especially around him, slip a bit. The quickness of it almost made him think it'd been in his mind, but that quick glimpse of something close to a normal, not evil, gaze did a number on him.
Smiling he let the snide reference to his father roll off, it would do no good to defend his fathers characteristics, and hell Sirius was actually proud his dad had been able to deal with his condition his whole life and not harm anyone. Looking now into the eyes that again had the fmailiar glare in them he cocked an eyebrow at her, "My my, we are the brave one aren't we?" he was mocking her now, and he knew it would anoy her to no end.
As an actual wolf howled off in the forest the tention in him eased, it was a familiar sound to him. "But it could prove foolish, we wouldn't want that pretty face of your's to get hurt now would we?" he told her lightly running his thumb over her chin. He hadn't been able to resist touching her beautiful face, even though he knew it would drive him crazy, and more than liekly piss her off.

For a moment, Alana suspected he knew exactly what she was thinking because he let down his guard almost the same way she had done accidentally. The comments, though, those weren’t all that different.
“Look at me that way again, and it’ll be the last thing you ever see.” she threatened, her eyes flashing. She liked to be ogled, actually, she liked it a lot, but he seemed to be letting down his unpleasantness too quickly for her liking... or making it was the fact she did like it that was bothering her.
"My my, we are the brave one aren't we?" Alana stepped forward, her nose a little higher in the air than usual. Of course, as Sirius was taller than her, it would make no difference to how they look at each other. “my my,” she mocked, “Giving me a Gryffindor trait. You’re new way of insulting is below average.” she looked a little disgusted; as if he’d just told her she had some disfiguring disease.
Just then; a wolf howled, and Alana stiffened for a moment, a smirk slowly spreading across her face. “Who said it was me who was going to get hurt? I don’t have a problem throwing you to the dogs, Lupin.” she whispered now, since there was no need to talk any louder with them standing so close. She unintentionally leaned forward, finding herself looking deeper in his eyes, the glare set back onto her face at his mocking tone.
He was TOUCHING her, rubbing her face as if he wanted nothing more than to kiss her innocently. but his words betrayed him, and she found herself glaring despite the comfort of his touch on her cool skin. She had to admit, her pale, cold skin didn’t compare to his warm blood. For once in her life, Alana didn't speak as his fingers traced at her jaw.

Sirius had to chuckle a bit as Alana threatened him with either blinding or death, he wasn't entirely sure. He knew she liked being ogled, heck so did he... and really who wouldn't? But it was interesting the way she'd flared up to it so much after that breif lapse.
Listening as she insulted his own insulting capabilities he sighed a bit, "Oh, it wasn't an inult Lestrange, you would may have just made an excelent Lion." he told her, this time meaning for it to be just as insulting as he was sure she would take it.
He almost felt, rather than saw, her stiffen when the wolf howled. Feeling his trade-mark half smirk form on his lips he glanced around the clearing a second, "Don't you know Lestrange? Wolves don't go after their own kind" he told her, refeuring to her earlier classifying him as the 'big bad wolf'.
As his thumb ran across her chin he saw the usual glare in place, but he had noticed that she was almost leaning into him. Not sure exactly how to take this he continued to gaze into her eyes with his burning, deep stare. Letting his hand slowly fall away he could still feel the chill the brief contact with her skin had left.

The sweet sound of his chuckle made her stomach turn in a way she could easily pass off as disgust, although she would have a harder time convincing herself, as she was smarter than the idiots that surrounded her.
"Oh, it wasn't an insult Lestrange, you would may have just made an excellent Lion."
“Is this the part where I tell you, you would have made a very good snake? Because you wouldn’t have.” she scowled, still shivering over his assessment of her. “Or... maybe it is that I’ve been too hard on Gryffindor, and they, in reality, are the evil ones.” she pressed the back of her hand to her forehead, pulling an innocent look, faking the damsel in distress. “Maybe I should have father save me from the evil man trying to violate me.” As much as she tried not to make it sound suggestive, she failed. Never one to lose control in her voice, she wondered if something in her had self consciously done it.
"Don't you know Lestrange? Wolves don't go after their own kind"
Her brown eyes fixed onto his, an evilly amused look spreading onto her face in place of yhe innocent one. “fine,” she said coolly, but now in an audible whisper. “I’ll just sic my snakes on you.” At those words, she found herself missing the pleasure of his touch.
Now, it was her turn to tempt his self control as she ran her delicately manicured fingernails across his own cheek, mimicking his earlier movements. She had never felt the heat of his body before, she had never even touched him before now but when her fingertips reached his cheek, she felt as if it was more intimate than ever admitting what she felt for him.

As Alana faked the damsel in distress Sirius sighed to himself, it would be just like her to imply he was the evil one. Not that he couldn't be mean, and cruel at times but she was definately giving him more credit than he diserved with that comment. The fact that they where still standing so close, and that she hadn't shoved him away or they hadn't tried to duel yet was something a little new for them. Perhaps it was that fact that they where alone now, as they relaly had never been before. It was an intriguing thought to Sirius, made all the more interesting by Alana's next commment.
"Trying to violate you now am I?" he asked her, noting the slightly sugestive tone of her voice, leaning in eevr so slightly he looked down into her eyes as he smirked, "Maybe it's me that needs saving from you."
As he opened his mouth again to retort to her snake comment he found himself unable to speak as he felt the cool, gentle scrape of her fingernails against his cheek. Relishing in the feeling he took a breathe in, attempting to calm himself before he did something stupid, like grab her and kiss her. Turnignhis gaze back to her he felt a fire burning in his eyes, but not the usual anger that flickered there when she was around, but a more desirous, almost pained one.

Alana's smirk widened as he said those words, her next sentence would be unstoppable, and even a shock to her. "I can't help but think you're right." she whispered it, but it came out loud and clear. The two of them were now close enough to be called potentially romantic. If it were for the fact that they were enemies, it would have been the perfect picture for a romance.
The fire in Sirius' eyes, however, made it impossible for her to turn away, and for once, Alana cursed her instincts. It was the clear slytherin instinct that was driving her to this. They were alone here, and no one would ever believe that Alana would do such a thing even if Sirius swore by it- let alone tell anyone. But would she dare take this chance? Her pride told her she shouldn't even think about doing it, she was better than this, but her hormones were screaming... and could this strange whiny noise possibly be her heart?
She was the stupid one. She couldn't help but think it as his breath gently tickled her nostrils. He smelled sweet and bitter mixed together... how ironic, like her feelings for him. It was then that Alana knew that she would do the slytherin thing, selfishly take what she wanted, no matter the consequences. She leaned it just a tad, which was all that was necessary in their predicament, and brushed her lips against his in the most teasing kiss she'd ever found herself giving. The passion was restrained, and just about ready to blow in her during it, hoping that he would at least bring their kiss to the next level.
She was sure he would not break the kiss. Somewhere, he knew as well as she did how much this really meant.

Sirius wasn't sure how much longer he would be able to control himself. Every fiber in his body was screaming at him to reach out and grab Alana and kiss her. Yet everything in his mind was telling him how much of a bad idea that was.
I can't help but think you're right
When she said that Sirius had to swallow, damn this girl for making him feel so damn vulnerable right now. If anyone came apon them right now he could gaurantee that they would think there was definately something going on. And he couldn't blame them, they were so close right now that he could feel her breathe on his face as she looked up at him.
He could almost feel the tension between them, the sparks flying back and forth as each of them tried to control themselves. He was almost possitive Alana was waging an internal war right now, just as he was. The question was which of them would cave first? Or in fact would either of them. It was taking everything in him to stop doing the one thing, as a guy, he felt obligated to. He had a beautiful girl standing mere centimeters from him, flriting with him and he wasn't doing anything. The sheer thought almost made him want to slap himself. Yet there was the naggin question of what would happen if he did crack. That thought let him keep his head about him...
That was untill Alana closed the gap. As her beautiful, cold lips brushed against his he could feel the fire bursting deep in side him. Every restraint he'd ever built up around her blew apart as the sensation cascaded down him, egniting everything in him. Throwing caution to the wind he grabbed her arms and pulled her tight to him, deepening the kiss with almost more force than was necesary.
His desire for her was washing away any sane thought in his head. As he moved one hand to her long dark hair he could think of nothing else other than how it seemed everything in their relationship had been building up to this point, what came after was of no consequence as he held her to him.

The back of Alana's mind mocked her, but she couldn't help but tell it to shut the hell up. This raw emotion was just too much to deny. You've never done anything this stupid, Alana the inside of her head told her.
I am NOT stupid. This is what I want, and I'm taking it... isn't that the slytherin way? she retorted, unable to keep from facing the challenge her insides were demanding.
Right.. since when is the slytherin way kissing Gryffindors?
It doesn't matter. It's not like it means anything and no one will ever find out.
It's funny how you lie to yourself. You sound like that sap, Linda... or was Lucinda her name? Sleeping with the enemy. You're a disgrace.
Listen, whoever you are. You will leave my head this instant. You will let me have this because I want this, and I get mad when I do not get what I want.
The internal war came to a blistering stop, when, just as she was about to pull away, he pulled her closer than ever, and kissed her just as hard as her soft kiss had intended to make him do. The irrational and princess side of her took over completely as she threw her arms around him, pressing her chest into his. Her finger tips trailed along his neck and she could feel his hands in her hair. This was the most magnificent kiss she'd ever had with anyone. Was this what they had been wanting everytime they glared at eachother? If so, it was better than either of them could have expected. She couldn't even consider what happens next... not one bit.
