APPEARANCE&&PERSONALITY
DESCRIPTION ::
He keeps his jet-black hair well kept, most of the time it is a bit on the longer side though it never ever goes past his shoulder. He prefers to keep his hair not terribly short but not horribly long either. Though he finds long bangs very annoying he still keeps them long, most of the time they go a little past his eyes and he usually has to brush them out of his face whenever they fall into his face.
Clean cut and very aware of the way he dresses, his fashion is conventional and common as if he were like every other person out there. It’s laidback yet he never looks as if he just rolled out of bed, never does he just throw clothes on. Though he doesn’t have too much to wear he still prefers to plan it out for whatever he may be doing that day. His schedule is quite random but still he likes to think he has some issue that he might come across therefore he plans according to the issue he thinks up in his mind.
All his suits are fitted properly; he goes to a suit shop and has them done so he looks his best for whatever formal event he is attending. Most of these events are just appearances for his parents to show him off at. Which means that he must look flawless, his mother loves it whenever she gets comments about how handsome her son looks. So therefore he is looked over and groomed to perfection. This goes for all his robes and dress robes as well. His mother seems to think he must look proper for any occasion, if there's even the slightest bit of damage in any of his clothes she has it repaired immediately so Thom will look his best. Of course she can't do this while he is at school which is a good thing since Thom does have a habit of accidentally tearing up whatever he's wearing usually from rough housing with his friends or running around a bit and getting it caught on a branch or something.
He finds it easy to hide his emotions and respond in a simple matter of fact fashion. It is quite easy for him to put on an act as if he has been unjustly victimized even though he really knows exactly what is going on. Thom hates repeating himself, it’s quite obvious when he is annoyed, his words become sharper and his facial expressions show just how much he would rather be somewhere else. At those times he really could care less about what somebody says about him, that is unless it is a formal meeting where he will hide his disgust with a smile but his voice is still a bit strained as if he really is trying to fake a low level of cheerfulness. When he was little he had a sort of angelic face, it was how he first learned to act so innocent. And now he has become a professional at the ‘Oh I didn’t mean to do that’ act and gets away with it half the time. Behinds his icy blue eyes hold curiosity and a sense of mystery. He is hard to read, with the classic ‘poker face’ at the best of times, he can turn off charm in a flash and glare at you with his intense cold eyes. With his deep blue icy eyes Thom does his best to hide any emotion that may show any fault in his usually casual easygoing personality. However a glint of emotion can be seen occasionally whenever he is truly affected by something or someone. The most emotion he'll ever show is through his lips. His malicious joker smile shows exactly that he’s up to something. He may know what you know or he may not but that smile means that he'll find out and when he does it won't be good.
The only difference between his confident looks and his diverse personality has to be his appearance, his long lanky body definitely makes the idea of him being fierce quite hilarious to people who don’t know him. Of course he has some strength but his appearance doesn’t really show it that well. Keeping his posture upright, standing tall to add to his height a little, he also has a bit of attitude in his walk. It’s as if he’s always confident, even if he isn’t sometimes. When he needs to be, he can assert most of his strength into what he's doing to help him in whatever he's attempting to do. Even though he's not as strong as some people it still doesn't deter him from backing away from a challenge, he uses what attributions he has to his advantage

PERSONALITY ::
Charming, self-confident, very intelligent, he can hold up a conversation very well. He may seem like your average guy, but after meeting him and getting to know him, it’s a bit obvious that something is a bit off. Though he does smile and seem to be quite involved the conversation he really is not all there. With an image of sincerity and emotion he can pull off normal circumstances very well. And yet in harder more emotional times he can be the exact opposite of what is expected of most people. He can imitate a wide range of emotions in order to blend in with the rest of the crowd though he really doesn’t understand who they are so emotional half the time. Mimicking emotions and putting on the likable guy act helps camouflage his complicated personality for the most part, however with people that are closer to him his act becomes more and more of an act and it’s obvious to tell that he’s not all that he says he is.
Thom has no problem lying; it comes quite easily to him as if it was almost natural. In some ways he doesn’t value the truth, well his truth though he wants the truth from others in return. Since he lies he is also a bit afraid that he isn’t receiving the truth and can be a bit paranoid at times. But he tries not to show it; after all if he showed his fear of being lied to he would appear to be weak and that is the last thing he wants to show anybody. It is unlikely he will ever admit he was lying, at times even he will start believing his own lies as if they really happened. There are times where he will lie even when it is easy to tell the truth, he won’t even think about it he will just say whatever it is that will make whomever he is talking to happy. Most of the time he doesn’t even lie for attention, never will he make up some outlandish lie in order to look better than somebody else, he really will only lie when it is to get himself out of trouble or whatever he perceives to be as trouble and a need to defend himself. It’s during the times where telling the truth would be awkward and uncomfortable whereas at that moment lying would feel almost justified. If someone were to confront him about a lie he would most likely change the story into something completely new in order to save himself from what he sees as trouble. Or perhaps if it is a small lie he is confronted with he will play it off as a joke as if he meant to say something else when really he didn’t.
At times he is unable to empathize with anybody and can be unmoved by a person’s sorrows and can appear to be a little cold. Most emotions that most people feel are quite capable to him, though he doesn’t experience them quite as much. In order to fully experience them it must be with somebody he is close to, somebody that he trusts and can almost consider being his equal. There are some instances where it may seem it is impossible for him to understand some feelings mainly love. Of course he can understand them, however he can almost make himself believe he is infatuated with the person whom he is involved with at that time. This is probably the most self-destructive part of himself, the lies to himself lead to impulsiveness which can cause him to jump into a relationship quickly without even knowing the other person. The unstable relationships that he has been in have been so out of the blue that not even he can judge them or think about what to do in them. Perhaps these have been the best relationships of his life since he was so unsure of what was going on he had no time to really put on a certain appearance. However eventually he will realize that he is wrong about what he has been thinking and will quickly end whatever relationship he is involved with.
Occasionally he will feel regret and almost want to ask for a second chance in that relationship and yet he is afraid of rejection. Not only does he fear rejection but he is also afraid of commitment, he can’t stand the idea of having somebody know so much about him, somebody that can begin to read him and knows what is going on in his mind. It’s almost a personal boundary being stepped on, he can’t seem to accept that somebody could get into his mind and know what he is thinking or may have some idea of what he will do next. Perhaps this is another reason why he constantly lies, because he doesn’t want everyone to know everything there is to know about him. In order to protect himself from rejection he often tries to replay the things he found most irritating about the person over and over in his head to convince himself why he should never want to go back to that person and risk rejection. Not only will he do his best to convince himself that he dislikes them, but he will do whatever it takes to remove them from his life, whether its by ignoring them or not even being in the same room as them he will do whatever is within his power to isolate himself from them.
His actions are hard to explain, he really has no concerns for other people. Well…people he doesn’t know. If he doesn’t know them than why should he care about them or their problems. For example, if he were stuck with some random person complaining in line, he would have no problem telling them to shut the hell up when nobody else will. However there are times where he can be less willing to say such things, in these circumstances he will do his best to ignore whatever is being said. This mainly happens if he is in a proper atmosphere and it would be rather improper for him to tell somebody to shut up when it really wasn’t the appropriate time or place to be so bold. During these situations he mentally tells himself that he shouldn’t bother with such people as if they have no right to talk to him or be seated next to him or even think about talking to him – almost like a sense of entitlement. He feels as if he is more important than others as if he does deserve some things when in all reality he probably doesn’t.
"Never tell anyone the real reason you did something unless it is useful to do so." This idea by Machiavelli is quite like Thom. The idea of manipulating and finding ways to reach his goals through ways most people would never do is something almost of second nature to him. The ideas of right and wrong are not there nor does Thom ever act about those two ideas. Instead he will do whatever is his first instinct and then reason for them with some motive made up later. Of course this probably isn’t the best way to do most things but he’d rather act upon his instincts and not have to stop and think about what he should do before he does it. If he has to think about what he is doing he will feel less confident about what he is doing and sometimes will back out of the plan. Quitting in the middle of something is something he can’t stand to do; he feels as if he has failed himself therefore he has proved to himself that he can’t do whatever he challenged himself. The consequence of his actions depends on how much he can imagine what they will be; for the most part he really has no conscience. In most situations the questions he could ask himself would be what will he get out of it, and what will it cost? If the consequences of losing whatever he is going for than it is not worth going after even if it means failing.
The only time he holds responsibility is when he is assigned a job to do, he will do whatever it takes to get it done. This is probably one of the best advantages to his personality, he can give a subject he is intrigued in his undivided attention for long amounts of time. Whether it means he has to go out of his way to get the job done or if he has to kill or steal or anything, he will do it. In a job situation he probably has little, if any, emotions. His self-serving behaviors kick-in and if he does succeed he will often become too confident. The main disadvantage of his focus has to be his inability to see things that may be danger signals ahead. Though confidence is a good thing, there are times where the saying "ruin, folly, delusion," comes into action. His confidence often gets the best of him and therefore leads to a future downfall, however he will never admit his defeats. Instead he will do whatever it takes to correct his failures or do whatever it takes to get the blame off of him and on somebody else so he will not get in trouble. Luckily his quiet shy act does help during these times, if he just stays quiet and follows instruction he blends more into the background so if he does something nobody will ever suspect it was the quiet guy in the background.
Though he may not be the strongest individual his intelligence makes up for it. He uses people’s fears and what they value most against them. Whether it takes time to figure out how to use these against them, he is persistent and will look and eventually find the things that will make them tick. Almost like a boy with a magnifying glass burning the poor little ant on the ground, he finds some sort of amusement by this new sense of power. The idea that he could use what they value most and turn it against them is such an interesting idea to him. Nightmares and phobias intrigue him, he does not fully understand them but perhaps that is why he is so fascinated by them. Anything that can convince a person of something that may or may not be there is a curious thing to him, nobody can explain it which makes it such a questionable idea. He enjoys a challenge; he loves to think out of the box and can often seem to relate to others who think the way he does about such random things. The absurd ideas of some or those he respects even if he doesn’t fully understand them. Of course like all people he has his own fears but he would never admit them to even his closest friends.

LIFE&&HISTORY
HISTORY
Now from the beginning, where all the madness started; a small town, where all the people seem to know everyone’s business and somehow in a creepy way they are all related to each other. He was always the black sheep in a strange sort of way. Though his family is of pureblood decent, his mother never encouraged magic in the household ever since Thom's father died when he was around three. Though he never really knew how his father died, he began to get the feeling it had something to do with magic and that was why his mother never wanted to ever deal with that sort of tragedy again.
Alongside his friends at the age of seven they would stroll around the schoolyard singing 'Pray for the Dead and the Dead will pray for you’. He attended a private muggle elementary school. A rather upright catholic school that seemed to make everyone’s lives miserable. Gambling in the back of class, failing religion class, and accidentally wearing something that wouldn’t be too appropriate to Mass, oh yes he was just the right candidate for Student of the Month…no not really. However he managed to get away with it using his childlike innocence and pretending as if he really was that cute and innocent. Of course everyone seemed to blame it on one thing, the death of Thom's father, not having a father figure in the house always had some sort of impact on Thom even if he never fully realized it. As much as his mother tried to constantly protect him, Thom always seemed to rebel and go against what she said. The only comfort he had was his older sister who is only two years his senior.
His relationship with his mother is a disaster; one minute they are all right and the next minute they want to shoot each other. Despite both of their beliefs on positive thinking and the ‘peace be with you’ attitude they appear to have when they aren’t around each other, they can’t stand being in the same room with one another. Perhaps it’s because when they aren’t around each other they have somewhat the same personalities and they end up being so close that they clash almost, but it’s true they hardly ever get along sadly. She was most likely the reason he would die growing up. Running his hand over with an ice skate, taking a serious injury and asking ‘Are you bleeding? No, okay then you’re fine’ to every injury he ever had. Never did she ever use magic to heal his wounds or anything, in fact she did her best to just ignore magic completely. Though Thom never really knew way. His mother has always been very secretive with him and rarely ever speaks to him nowadays unless it's something of absolute importance.
But he survived all the torture of his mother and managed to come out as a good kid. Well for the most part, he's a bit odd but still nonetheless he's alright. Once receiving the letter from Hogwarts his mother wasn't too enthralled about her son going off to do magic but she really had no choice but to let him go. He took a great interest in quidditch, much to his mother's dislike. The last thing she wanted was to worry about him. But of course there was his older sister to help her out whenever she wasn't there. When he attended Hogwarts he played on the Slytherin quidditch team as the seeker. His passion had been qudditch and it still is. Even as he continued through his other schoolwork, he couldn't help but always think of quidditch.
His mother constantly tried to think of something different to do other than quidditch. But nothing really nothing was more important than the games, and when he wasn't at school he flew around his house even though it wasn't as satisfying as it was whenever he was competing at school. When he left Hogwarts he wanted to play for one of the professional quidditch teams however his mother hated the idea and did her best to persuade him to start off slow and walk for a few years before trying to get onto a team. Reluctantly he accepted his mother's idea and went to find work. It seemed almost like divine appointment that he found a notice for teachers looking to be hired at Hogwarts. As soon as he saw 'Flying' he knew exactly what he wanted to do.

Even though the weather was cooling down it had never seemed to stop Thom from strolling through the grounds of Hogwarts. Though he did mind the cold he always thought of his mother's saying about the cold 'Better cold since you can put more layers on, than hot where you can only take off so many layers before it is very indecent'. It was just one of those random things that always came into his head as he felt the cold chill of the wind brushing against his face. It was refreshing, never did he ever get up early but today he had been rudely awakened by one of his friend's stupid cats that decided to jump up on his bed. After attempting to fall back asleep he finally gave up and decided to go for a walk since nobody else seemed to be up yet.
As he walked it was still a bit evident that he wasn't fully awake. Everything about him wasn't like his usual overly confident almost regal attitude. No, at the moment he was trying to not be blinding by the rising sun, and somewhat hoping nobody would see him here. He looked a mess, or well what he would consider a mess, his hair was being untameable once again, from the somewhat dazed look on his face it was obvious he wasn't used to being up this early. He hardly noticed that much of the beautiful surroundings, the lush green grass, the sounds of the birds chirping in the trees. Thom had never been one to really appreciate the beauty of nature, sure it was pretty but he wasn't about to sit down in the grass and stare at all the beautiful colours of the world around him. He just didn't like to think of how wonderful the landscape was every time he went outside. It just seemed to be one of those things he never thought much of, so why should he start thinking about it now?
Glancing around he couldn't help but notice that not too many people were out this early. Well..he couldn't blame them, they were the smart ones that were either doing something better than staring at the flowers and being cold. The only good thing that seemed to come out of this so far was the breeze that was gradually walking him up. He began to wonder how some people could walk around the ground of Hogwarts and be so amused by it. Oh well, perhaps he would find out soon enough. Until then he would have to wake himself up, but how? The wind may have been working but he was hating this feeling of being slow, hardly alert, and just waiting for something to happen. He wasn't about to run, though that would wake him up but he would look quite silly running around at this time of the morning.
Running a hand through his messy hair, he tried to get it to stay back. But alas, it was going to be stubborn today, too bad he hadn't been awake enough to actually care about it. He just hoped to god nobody he knew would see him like this. Though now that he was thinking that, he had to wonder what his excuse would be if he did run into somebody. Oh what a terrible dilemma this put him in. No, no he wasn't going to think about this negativity. He wouldn't let himself do it, he just needed to act as if he was his usual self. Going over the instructions he was giving himself in his mind, stand up straight, act as if he was enjoying himself, and so on and so forth. Doing his best wake himself up, he kept on trying to remind himself that he shouldn't care about what other people thought, after all he was apart of the Davies he doubted anybody could really care about that.
