Sirius Black had named his son after his two best friends, Remus and James, and the Gryffindor boy certainly was a mix, and a player as well. Of course Sirius knew this, and he didn't mind as long as his son didn't get hurt. He really did worry about Remus James Black, but the teen was old enough to deal with the reactions of his own actions. Which is why Sirius sent him an owl to meet him in the trophy room, not to mention a spot of duelling to see how his son fared in fighting. Sirius didn't want his children to lose at anything, and defending themselves was high upon his list of things to teach both Remus James and Melody.
Speaking of his daughter, he hadn't seen her around much and that was saying something since he was the head of their house. Standing in front of a trophy which was awarded to his godson Harry Potter, he waited for Remus to arrive. A little duelling, talking, and then something to eat would be good. His hand flew to his wand in his breast pocket, twirling it around in his fingertips. A smile found its way upon his lips, spending time with his family always made him happy. And what a family! He was so proud of his two kids and wife, and the love and adoration he held for them only grew with passing years.

Remus-James Black certainly wasn't having a good morning. He had been up late last night with his friends, the newly reformed marauders that were marking their place in this school's history fast. Remus had finally prefected the permanent stciking charm which his grandmother had been so fond of, and he had performed it on the "Rumor Wall" so that it would never be able to be removed. Of course, the rumors could be erased, and replaced by new ones, but the board itself would never leave Hogwarts, and on the bottom of it was written 'brought to you by the marauders reformed and had their initials carved. He knew his father knew exactly who had set that little trick up, but instead of scolding him, as his mother would surely do, Sirius would smile and pat him on the back, but only when Dorcas wasn't looking.
But that's not what made the day bad, it was that he was woken by an owl pecking at his head when he had tried to shoo her away. Safe to say, Remus obviously wasn't a morning person. However, things had turned around once Remus realized that the letter was from his father and that they would meet soon. Remus rarely had alone time with his father, because both of them were busy with the same thing; school. So, when his father had opted to see him, it made his day ten times better.
Trotting down to the trophy room, he had time to wonder why exactly his father wanted to meet him there. He was pretty sure Sirius Black had never earned any trophies for 'most well behaved student', or 'model student of the year', and couldn't imagine his father even ever trying to be any of those things. He was a lot like his father; and he loved that fact very much. They even thought the same, and he knew that when his father had asked him to come down here; he hadn't asked him simply to talk.
As Remus rounded the corner to the trophy room, he spotted his father and grinned. His backj was turned, so Remus could easily shoot a spell at him. Under his breath, he muttered a colour changing spell, and them watched as his father's robes turned a charming hot pink color, Remus' barking laugh, much like his father's, sounded through the room. Unable to control himself, he burst in, "You look dashing, dad!"
