FULL NAME :: Rodolphus Dimitri Lestrange

APPEARANCE&&PERSONLAITY
DESCRIPTION :: Unlike most of his family, Roddy's eyes are a very deep hazel colour that seems to change pending the light source. At some instances, they can be so dark that they appear to be nearly black but, during others with just the right amount of light, they are a lovely shade of hazel. As far as his dark, thick hair is concerned, he prefers to keep it trimmed neatly but he's also been known to let it grow out to obtain a more shaggy look. This was predominantly noticeable after his stint in Azkaban.
Rodolphus Lestrange stands at an intimidating height of 6'2" and he uses this to his advantage every chance he gets. Very clean-cut and stylish, he wears comfortable yet nice clothes over his leanly muscular body and always manages to look suave and debonair. On occasion heíll allow himself to get a little gruff, but only when he feels particularly lazy or is intent on going for a more dangerous lookÖor when he is trying to irk his wife.
PLAYED BY :: Hugh Jackman
PERSONALITY :: Rather mysterious, Rodolphus Lestrange can be described as quite the suave and charming wizard, but also cruel and heartless. He likes to use his charm to get his way. He loves to toy with people and use their weaknesses to break them. He also is the typical pureblood, and has an ingrained discrimination toward those not of pureblood status. As has become a habit, he believes that he is superior to most anyone (and deserves the utmost respect) and tends to keep a very close-knit group of friends and associates rather than pretending to be "Mister Popularity."
As one could imagine, Rodolphus can be very devious and destructive when it comes to having fun. His devil-may care attitude usually leads him to seeking bigger, wilder, faster and more heart pounding opportunities. If a matter of life-or-death is involved in the fun and games, he is prone to be the first in line to play. During his earlier years, he was known to have some borderline psychotic and/or sadistic tendencies but he's since learned to control his desire for such things.
With those closest to Rodolphus, he tends to be very protective and possessive. Because of this, he has been known to get jealous over some of the most simple and harmless things. In his eyes, this is, perhaps, his biggest (and only) fault. Why? Because he falls victim to the games of his beloved time and time again. In contrast, he also can be immensely dominating and is willing to go to any length just to ensure that what's his stays that way.

LIFE&&HISTORY
HISTORY :: Amidst a particularly dry October in 1951, Rodolphus Dimitri Lestrange was born to Adolphe and Eltanine Lestrange without much incident. Rodolphus had a fairly pleasant childhood and spent the majority in the care of his mother. His mother tended to be a bit strict but nevertheless loving due to the vast number of relatives that expected the first born of Adolphe Lestrange to be no less than a proper little gentleman. Being in a rich pure blood family deeply seated in old traditions and nobility, Rodolphus heard terms like ëmudbloodí and ëblood traitorí used fairly often. He was also reminded very frequently that he had quite the legacy to live up to as the Lestrangeís heir.
When Rodolphus was nearly six years old, his younger brother Rabastan was born. Used to being the center of attention and having a sort of free roam, Rodolphus did not take kindly to the new addition to the family. Though he eventually came around, there was much convincing to be had before Rodolphus would even play with his younger sibling. Even despite their finally getting on well, he and his younger brother often fought for their parentsí approval and attention. Rod, needless to say, usually won those battles being that he was the first born.
Upon receiving his Hogwarts letter and being sent off to the Wizarding school, he was naturally sorted into Slytherin house. Unlike many of his brethren, even the young Rodolphus preferred to keep to himself rather than forcing the spotlight to always shine upon him. Rodolphus received high marks in Transfiguration and DADA, as they were all that really interested him. He also kept up with his Charms, merely for the purpose of dueling. His performance in DADA tapered off beginning his fifth year due his own boredom with the subject that began to foster once he began learning a number of the spells they were to be defending against. Rodolphus also found himself in a number of detentions, but not nearly as many as his overly arrogant, fellow purebloods. Rodolphus also played Quidditch on the Slytherin house team, his stately frame aiding his abilities as successful Keeper. His interest in the game fell off beginning with his seventh year, when he began concentrating on learning more advanced and dark magic...as well as a certain pureblood girl with whom he'd been friends since his first year.
Months after Rodolphus finished his schooling, Adolphe Lestrange had taken ill. After his fatherís death shortly before being brought into the Dark Lord's circle of Death eaters, Rodolphus, as the rightful heir, and his wife moved into the lavish Lestrange Estate and have governed it since. Rodolphus always took his commitment to Voldemort fairly seriously, though he was not as completely devoted as his wife. It seemed almost as though his beloved Bellatrix was drawn in closer and closer to their leader and, in way, did make Rodolphus jealous of the Dark Lord for receiving his wifeís infatuation. Despite this, Rodolphus enjoyed his own independence and saw serving the Dark Lord as a way to not only please his father, but also as potential to increase his standing among the pure blood families so things like his wife's devotion to their Lord was trivial in comparison.
After a lengthy stint in Azkaban and fighting a second war against the so-called "Boy Who Lived" and his band of goody-goods, as well as watching his wife being murdered, Rodolphus came to the conclusion that he would never be a pawn again. Though he still firmly believed that filth did not deserve to walk the same earth as noble blood, he opted to keep his opinions, much like everything else, to himself. That was, of course, until he found himself face to face with a very much alive Bellatrix once more. Though they'd had a rather rocky relationship that was often broken over trivial things, the two decided to give their marriage a second chance.
Only a few years after they reconciled their marriage, Rodolphus got to know the joys of fatherhood when his first child Gabriel was born. Though the Dark Lord had been vanquished, Rodolphus and his wife were still adamant about raising their children under the same strict rules and pureblood beliefs that they'd grown up under. It was the Lestrange's hope that their children would fully understand how much better they were, because of their pure and noble blood, and take the old traditions to heart.
