It seemed like years ago that Sirius learned that his brother had proposed to Victoire Weasley. He had been at Hogwarts at the time, standing at the very spot he was now. He had gone to the owlery to send a letter to his parents, telling them everything was perfectly fine at Hogwarts, and he felt better than ever, which had been an utter lie, of course. As he walked into the owl filled room, he was surprised to his owl, Chicken, waiting with a letter already attached to his leg. Being who he was, Sirius had rushed toward the owl, wondering what the letter was. He had ripped it open and immediately recognized his mother's messy handwriting. It basically told him Teddy had proposed to Victoire and how the entire family was excited, and blablabla. The first thing he had done was run around to all the Weasleys, Potters and his sister to tell them the news.
Now back at the owlery, Sirius sighed. The wedding was, without a doubt, coming up soon. Most probably during the Christmas holidays, so that all the Weasley kids would have a chance to assist. If he had his way though, he wouldn’t even be going. It wasn’t necessarily that he didn’t want to go, but he knew that like at every family reunion, he was going to get nagged about never bring over someone with him. Now to add to his previous family members, he was going to be related to the entire Weasley clan through Victoire. Oh the joys that was going to bring. He had heard a lot about the Weasley women. Notably Molly and Fleur. He probably wasn’t going to be able to get away with much anymore at family reunions. Not if Albus happened to be in the surroundings. The only good thing Sirius could think of about being somewhat part of the Weasley clan was that he’d be somewhat related to James.
So there he stood at the owlery, waiting for Chicken to come back from the trip Sirius had sent him on. If Fleur and his mother had planned the date for the wedding, he was finally going to be the first to know. He hated knowing things later than everyone else. Especially if those 'everyone else' had the last name Weasley or Potter. Sirius headed toward the tower's lowest window an checked out the grounds. There were plenty of students hanging around on a Saturday. Maybe a little prank was in order? He took his wand out of his jean pocket and waved it quickly in the air. For a fourth year, Sirius knew quite a few spells more than the average. Hanging around James had made sure of that. A few water balloons appeared, probably got there from some nearby joke shop from Hogsmead. Sirius waved his wand another time and directed the balloons out the window, where he let them drop. In a matter of seconds, he heard shouts and squeels from below. He burst out laughing at his absolute genius. For once, no one would have any idea it was him.
