Tainted Pathways✖

It's the beginning of the Marauders' 5th year at Hogwarts, and already things are heating up. The four boys are now illegal animagi, and Sirius and James are using it as an excuse for more night time wanderings, leaving Remus feeling extremely guilty. Peter, however, is still having trouble, but the others use their superiority to help him. James is hoping he can impress Lily; he's falling for her fast although he tries to conceal it in his cocky attitude, and his attempts always bring a laugh or two to Sirius, because James tends to act like a fool around a Miss. Lily Evans.
The scene by the lake has not yet happened; which means that Lily and Severus’ friendship is still very much intact. They spend a lot of time together, which draws the attention of James Potter, and causes him and Sirius to pick on Snape, despite the fact that Lily is extremely put off by this. James, with his very stalker-like ability, has come to the conclusion that Snivellus has a crush on his Lily. His only solution: sparking a war between Gryffindor and Slytherin; which forces Lily to be caught in the middle. Will this turn Lily again Sev? Will it push her closer to James? Or will she wave them both away? Despite being sorted into different, rival houses, Sev is feeling hopeful that he and Lily will, in the end, be together.
While this is happening for the Gryffindors and Snape, the Slytherins are beginning to plot about becoming Death Eaters. Bellatrix Black, Regulus Black, Rudolphus Lestrange and Lucius Malfoy are all fine examples of the first to step into Voldemort’s inner circle. Regulus is disgusted by Sirius’ choice to be a bloodtraitor, but Sirius could help wish things would go back to the way they were before Hogwarts, before Sirius' had been sorted into Gryffindor, and Regulus still believed that Sirius knew all the answers. He knows that can never be, because that isn’t the only thing that has changed. Only Narcissa knows what Regulus is thinking; she's still hoping Sirius will change his mind. Not likely. Bellatrix however, wants her cousin to burn in hell. And every time she sees him, she doesn't mind if a few curses fly his way.
Trouble seems to be brewing, as evil snakes it way through Hogwarts. Slytherin's don't care, most have evil running through their veins anyway. Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaw's are again caught in the Slytherin-Gryffindor ruckus, and outside the school, there are deaths each day. No one is safe.
Pathways are not clear anymore, for some they are beginning to be tainted.
