When Lucinda went through the hoop, Kat decided to fly a tight spiral around the tallest centre hoop but she came out of it half way down. Flying back upwards to catch back up to Lucinda, she smiled brightly and nodded. Flying was so amazing and tons of fun. It always was too. Steadying her broom, she came closer to the ground and landed gently.
"That wasn't just fun...it was bloody amazing," she said enthusiastically, "But, then again, I'm incredibly biased because I absolutely love flying."

Lucinda laughed and said, "I know what you mean. So what about your family you never told me about them." She sat on he broom and hovered a few inches from the ground. After a few moments she landed and sat on the ground and looked around,

Katherine leaned her broom against the bleachers and sat herself on the grass. Getting comfortable, she leaned back onto her elbows and looked up into the sunny sky again. Lucinda's question did catch her off guard so it would take a little while for her to think up exactly what to say in response.
"My family...well, I'm a daddy's girl and always have been. I have a little brother, fourth year Slytherin. My mum...I don't even know what to say about my mum. She's...she is the biggest stickler for fashion," Katherine answered thoughtfully

"Cool. Just fashion crazy mother plus me may be a bad thing I have total different fashion sense then most. As my sexy socks say." She laughed, "People don't like my fashion. I don't know why though. It's awesomsauce." Lucinda said.

"Oh, don't worry. My mum might be mental when it comes to fashion but I'm quite the opposite. Perhaps you and she should get together though," suggested Kat, "I bet she'd just love to write an article for Witch Weekly on your individual fashion sense. I don't know whether she'd like it or not but I know she's always looking for new fashions to write about."
Katherine didn't know why her mum was always so obsessed with rumours, latest fashions and annoying things like divination but it was certain that Kat was her father's daughter. She kept her fashion to sporty type clothes and the sort...just like her daddy dearest.

"I bet I'd tried to give her a make over. I can go crazy when it comes to giving people make overs. The way you dress you'd die probably if I gave you a make over." Lucinda laughed and said, "I mean that in the non discriminating way too."

"Makeover?!" Katherine gasped. She'd been exposed to that sort of thing before and she felt like some sort of walking, talking barbie doll. It was right dreadful and she vowed to never ever let anyone ever do that again. Of course, that didn't hold true since she'd fallen victim to her mum's makeovers numerous times after that. It was horrifying really.
Shaking her head and laughing, she replied, "I know you didn't mean that in a descriminatory manner...and I'd bet you're exactly right about me dying if you did give me one. I'd, no doubt, go into cardiac arrest." She couldn't help giggling softly and shaking her head again.

Lucinda asked, "No worries though it won't be preppy. But I won't do ya into a make over." Lucinda laughed. "Cardiac arrest. your parents would kill me." She continued laughing.

"I doubt my mum would mind much as long as I looked all pretty when I died," Kat giggled. It wasn't exactly the truth since she knew that both of her parents did love her. It was just that her mum was a bit over the top sometimes. They still got along well enough though. But it was nothing like the terms she and her father were on.
Laughing a little more, she pondered just what Lucinda would turn her into if they did. Looking over at the Slytherin girl, curiosity got the better of Katherine and she asked, "So, not preppy...but what exactly would you have in mind?"

"You seem Emo, or Goth. Not punk though not loud enough, maybe slightly but not much." Lucinda said. Put some highlights in your hair and get som dark make up and some dark colors get your hair cut just a little and layer it. I think some alburn highlights would be gourgeous."

Kat couldn't help laughing a little at what she was being told. She'd never really thought she'd ever fit into any stereotype or fashion type aside from her being a tomboy. Tilting her head off to the side in contemplation, she pondered what her mum would say if she really did cut her hair and use dark makeup. It would be hilarious to see.
"I think my mum might kill you if you did that to me," she laughed softly, "She loves bright colours...especially pinks and purples. If I did decided to start dressing Emo or Goth...lets just say she'd probably put me in some sort of fashion rehab."

"Then I would be joining you cause as you can tell thats all I wear. But really layered hair and alburn highlights would look really good." Lucinda said, "Maybe some pink." she said laughing as she pulled on her pink strand of hair.

"Oye! Me? With pink in my hair? Good Godric Gryffindor! That would never ever happen!" Katherine said dramatically, "I can't stand the colour. I mean, it works for you...but nothing pink ever touches me. Once...my mum tried to make me wear a pink dress..."
She stopped to think about it for a moment or two. The incident was so bloody funny that she laughed a little before going on, "Let's just say that my uncle's dog accidently got dressed up instead of me and he ran it through the mud and ate about half of it before my mum could stop him."

Lucinda burst out laughing and rolled around on the ground. After a moment she said, "Well we could do neon green or yellow." She continued laughing. we should do charms and temporary things to your appearence to wig your Mother out. Possibly your Dad to."

"My dad would approve of anything I chose to do...except for boys. That's a whole other story with him...being overprotective and all. But if I wanted to dye my hair the brightest shade of green and add a few shamrocks or something, he'd think it was cool," she giggled with a big grin. It actually did sound like a neat idea to horrify her mum by doing it temporarily.
The more she thought about it, the better it sounded. After a few moments, she said, "We should. My mum will go mental. I bet you could hear her screeching all the way in Australia."
