"Oh, no, I couldn't possibly help with it. You see, he hasn't really done anything to me so it wouldn't be very fair of me to do something to him," Katherine replied with a very bright and encouraging smile, "Besides that, I think you'll to a right lovely job handling him on your own."
Once more, she gazed off in some random direction to have a look about. The weather today was absolutely perfect. Kat couldn't imagine a better day to be outside. As she glanced back at Lucinda, she observed the girl changing hair colours. After a second or two of thought and comparison, she answered, "I think that pink or baby blue suit you best. Red might make you look a little too Gryffindor...but it does actually go with your socks."

Lucinda laughed and said, "I think I'll go with Baby Blue. I've had pink in for awhile." She then put several blue streaks in her hair and smiled. She loved doing weird things to her hair sometimes it was curly other times straight. Most of the time it hung down her shoulders but she tended to put it up at points when it was a bother.

The blue looked much better in Lucinda's hair than pink but only because Katherine didn't really fancy pink. Kat also liked blue much better than red. The new look worked very well for her Slytherin friend. "Perfect," she praised with a light girlish giggle, "Absolutely perfect. I think that look works for you...at least for the time being."
Grinning, she asked, "What is the most insane look you've ever gone with? I mean, your fashion is already quite unique, but what is the most outlandish and original look you've given yourself?" Kat wasn't really one to go wild with her appearance but she'd gotten to thinking about it much more now that she was going to drive her mum insane.

Lucinda then charmed her hair black and made her eyeliner and mascarrae to run and said, "This is their craziest that I have ever gone. I normally stick to my original looks. Sometimes I go a little over the edge." Lucinda shrugged and said, "I'm thinking about getting my belly button pierced or my nose. I'm not sure yet." She shrugged and laughed a little.

Kat watched the Slytherin girl change her looks pretty drastically and nearly gasped at how different Lucinda appeared now that she'd altered things. Katherine was sure that she would never change her own appearance so very drastically simply because she liked her hair and her lack of makeup. Nonetheless, everyone was different.
"Goodness! Piercings?! Doesn't that hurt?" interrogated Katherine in a very shocked tone. She had one piercing in each ear but she was only a little bitty baby when her mum had it done. If she could help it, those would be her very last and only ones.

"No it doesn't hurt that much. I can take a lot of pain. All it is , is a needle going through your skin to make a hole. I did my ears myself." Lucinda said and showed her ears that were pierced 4 times each. I did the very bottom holes but the top ones I had professionally done. a hot needle doesn't pierce as well as professional needles."

Katherine was wide-eyed at hearing that Lucinda actually did her own piercings. It was both shocking and quite different to hear that someone would actually be able to give themself piercings and still think that it didn't hurt. Then again, everyone fancied different things and no one was the same so just because she was horrified of being punctured by needles didn't mean other people were.
"Yeash...that's just...goodness," she said in a still awed tone, "I've only got these and I had no bloody choice. At least they're good for wearing my clover earrings. But...wow...you've got an awful lot of piercings."

"I love my piercings." Lucinfa said, "I got a hole for my skull earings, my rose earrings, my birthstone earrings, and for my dangly blood drop earrings." She laughed and said, "I got to much jewelry." She then pushed her hair to one side and said, "Most of it I get from a muggle store during the summers when I sneak out of Malfoy Manor to go shopping."

Laughing along with Lucinda, Katherine was both shocked and amazed to hear just how many pairs of earrings the other girl owned. As much as Kat's mum tried to force jewelry upon the Hufflepuff girl, the only things she really ever kept were the pieces that her dad, grandmum or uncle and aunt bought for her. There was, of course, the odd necklace or earrings from close friends that she'd keep as well but jewelry really wasn't Katherine's thing.
"Muggle shopping? Is it much different in muggle shops than it is in magical ones?" Katherine questioned with interest. She'd only ever really been into magical shops with her mother. Once or twice, she'd gotten gifts from her grandparents that were from muggle London but she hadn't ever been able to do any shopping there herself.

"Way more to choose from in the Muggle world. Why do you think people find my fashion Odd. I can't even wear this stuff at home I have to stick to wizarding clothing. It's a drag. My parents hate Muggles, Muggleborns, and the Muggle World. It sucks really bad. Once when I was 12 I bought this cute white top with pink and black polka dots on it and it was an argyle baby doll top and my mum burned it because it was Muggle Fiflth." Lucinda said.

Kat wondered whether she could slip out and go to muggle London for a shopping trip. Maybe she'd have to practically kidnap Evie and drag her along for a shopping trip over holiday. She'd have asked Lucinda but she knew that the Slytherin girl's parents wouldn't fancy having their daughter hanging out with a Hufflepuff in muggle London. Just that thought made her sigh slightly.
"Oye! That doesn't sound very fair...but I guess your parents are just adamant about what they'll allow," she said softly, looking up at the sky to watch a few birds flying by in a little flock. She knew her mum wasn't quite that bad about it but there were times when her mother dearest would confiscate outfits and try to throw them away.

"Yeah well 2 more years and I will be out of there. or soon I'll be disowned." Lucinda said, "With my family I never know what they'll do. I have a bunch of psycho blood status murdering freaks as family. Family reunions are the worst thing to envolve my family in. Talk about alot of dead people on the floor. Its rediculous. We even hate our own relatives thats how bad Malfoy's are."

"Yeah, I've heard a little bit about how things work in pureblood type families," Katherine said with a hint of sympathy in her voice, "I mean, I hope you don't get disowned or anything but I'm sure you'll be happy to be out of the house and off doing your own thing away from your family and all."
Katherine couldn't imainge being thrown out of one's family just because you didn't believe and follow everything that they stood for but she knew that things like that happened all of the time. It was a little sad to think that Lucinda could face something like that but as long as her friend was happy, that was all that mattered.

Lucinda nodded and said, "I'd be hell of alot happier if I was disowned. Besides as soon as I get my own place my sister is going to live with me. She wants to live with me more than Our Mum and Dad. I wish I could just get up and head to the horizon right now. Never even remember my family. Just burry them under clouds of dust."

"You really hate your parents and your family that much?" asked the Hufflepuff girl. She knew how much she disliked her mum at times but it was never so much that she would want to just run off and never ever see her again. Katherine wondered how bad it really must be in the Malfoy house for Lucinda and her sister to want to get away so badly.
Falling back into the soft grass of the pitch, Kat closed her eyes and thought about what to say next. She didn't want to dwell too much on the topic of family but she wanted to at least keep the conversation flowing. After a couple of moments in silence, she questioned, "Have you already looked into somewhere to live? Like a location or even what kind of house you want?"
