Lauri laughed, acknowledging her need to do warm up exercises and stretches. He understood in a different way, he couldn't sing or play guitar without warming up.
"Everybody is terrible at what they do best when they don't warm up! Like when I try to sing without warming up a little... it is terrible!" Lauri confessed. He giggled and shook his head. "As for what I am doing today," he started, then he paused and thought a moment. He had a little bit of work to do, nothing special, and he needed to sing a little so that next time he tried his voice wouldn't give out. "I have pretty much a free day," he told her. "A little homework that I can do tonight, and to sing for about five minutes, but I actually need to eat too..." He grinned. "I could be ready today if you'd like!"

Pensively, Katherine responded, "How about we head in to grab a bite and then, if you'd like, you can come along on my warm-up drills. It's mostly just a bit of stretching and a lap or two around the castle." It was a habit of hers to get her heart rate up and her muscles all loose before she actually headed out to the pitch for a good fly. It not only made her drills easier but it helped her her in decent shape as well.
Taking a step or two forward, toward the open exit of the owlery, she watched as an owl or two found its way back into the tower and perched on any open area available. It made her wonder just how far Argon had gotten with her letter. Not that it was the most important thing in the world...but she did think about little things like that at the most random of times. Shaking the thought, she glanced over her right shoulder to see if Lauri was going to come along or if he intended to do something else before they spent time together.

Lauri agreed with Kat's plans and he followed after her to the door and out of the owlery. Lauri liked to exercise a lot and was glad that he'd be able to get out and do it some more today, but he could barely think about it when his stomach growled at him and he felt a burning. He snickered at it and he began to walk down the steps.
"I agree 100% with your plan Kat," He told her. "Before we start and after we eat, I need to run up to the common rooms so I can change into a short sleeved shirt and grab the cd." Lauri had been wearing a black shirt with long sleeves, the combination would have Lauri sweating, and he hated to be gross feeling.

"I have to go put on my warm-ups so we can head back to the common room, to go to our respective dorms of course, together after we have lunch. Then I'll meet you back down in the common room before we head out," Kat suggested with a bright smile. It was the most logical thing since they both needed to change and grab some things before actually going outside for their work out, lessons and music listening.
Still smiling, she continued down the long staircase along with Lauri. It was a fair distance to the Great Hall but she didn't mind it so much now that she had a companion to walk along with the entire way. The more she thought about it, the more she wondered how she hadn't actually talked with him before today. They WERE in the same house and only a year apart so, naturally, they should have at least shared a word in passing. It just seemed very odd. Nonetheless, she was glad that they'd stumbled upon each other today.

((OOC- Ah man! I kept forgetting to answer that question about where he got his inspiration lol. I meant to answer it in the post immediatley after, but I forgot so I'll squeeze it in in a little bit XD))
Lauri hopped down the stairway with her and nodded his head at her suggestion. He saw ahead of him a staircase that had just finished changing and it was the one that they had to take. He stepped onto it and continued down.
"So, what do you think would be the best thing to wear today?" he asked her. He figured that she knew best about it, what was comfortable and what was not, and what was too heavy and what was cool. He definatley didn't want to be uncomfortable on the broom. That would just make his riding even more bad than it was now. He moved a little bit quicker when he saw the end of the staircases coming.

Keeping up with Lauri, she made sure to hit the top of the stairs at exactly the same time it paused in front of them. Kat had always disliked the moving staircases but only because she'd gotten stuck on one for nearly seven minutes when she was a second year. Ever since then, she'd been sure to find an alternate route than that to her Transfiguration class.
As she glanced over at her fellow Hufflepuff, she answered, "If you have any sweatpants or warmup pants, they'll work perfectly...and a plain t-shirt or undershirt. I guess it's all a matter of what you feel most comfortable wearing. It'll probably get a little warm, though, after we jog and do the stretches...so don't wear anything too heavy." It was all, of course, suggestions based off of what worked best for her so she couldn't really be more specific in exactly what to wear.

As he jumped down off the last step and headed towards the Great Hall, Lauri thought about what he was going to wear. Currently, he had on a pair of baggy pants and a nice tee shirt. The pants were fairly new, but pretty much all Lauri wore were baggy pants, and the tee shirt was nice.
"I will just change into clothes that I dont mind getting too dirty," he told her. There were few students in the Great Hall when he walked in and he looked around. At the edge of the Hufflepuff table there was an assortment of fruits and he picked an apple up from it. He tossed it from one hand to the other, seeming to be inspecting it in a way. "I don't know about you, but this will last me a good time... probably,"he said and grinned. "How about you? Have you eat yet?"

"Yeah, it'd be a good idea to wear something that you don't mind getting dirty and sweaty. It's pretty warm out today and we'll be doing a fairly decent work out," Kat replied, glancing over at Lauri as they headed into the Great Hall. She'd had breakfast already but she did think a piece of fruit and a bottle of water would be a good idea. Even though she had a personal issue regarding her appearance, thanks to her darling mother, Katherine also knew when she'd need nutrition.
As Lauri picked up an apple and inspected it, she let her eyes wander the table for just the right thing. After a moment or two, she decided that an apple would probably be her best bet as well. It wasn't nearly as messy as some of the other fruit. "I had a little brekkie earlier but a piece of fruit will do quite well," she responded after a moment, "To the common room then?"

Lauri grasped his apple with his right hand and took a small bite from it as he began to walk right back towards the door to the Great Hall. He was quite anxious to get started on the days activities; he knew it was going to be a fun time.
"I have not eaten anything but this apple today," he told her. "but I do not eat much until later in the day. Breakfast for some reason makes me a little sick." He shrugged. "I don't know why!!" He took another bite of his apple and headed up the staircases once again. He had a lot of energy this morning for some reason, maybe because he was just excited. "Although, I am glad that our common room is on the first floor, it makes life a little bit easier." As he travelled up the steps he felt like shouting 'To the dorms!' but saved himself the humiliation.

Keeping in step with her fellow Hufflepuff, Katherine shined her apple on the bottom of her shirt. She hadn't intended to eat it just yet but she was positive that it would be of use after she'd changed...just before the jog. Kat listened with interst as Lauri mentioned that breakfast made him a little sick. She'd heard someone else mention something like that before but she never could figure out why that was. For her, if she missed breakfast, she was usually in the worst of moods for most of the day and she tended to feel a bit ill by lunchtime.
"I adore that our common room is so close to the Great Hall and Entrance Hall. It really does make things easier," Kat agreed, nodding for emphasis, "Plus, it's so much harder to get caught sneaking out to the grounds for a midnight fly too." Katherine Finnigan might have come off as the perfect little goody-two-shoes but she did have a devious side when it came to some things. It all depended on when, where and whom she was with for that side to show though.

Lauri snickered at Katherine's words as he muttered the password for the Hufflepuff Common Room and held open the picture frame for her to head in first. He took another bite of his apple.
"Rarely do I go out for a little midnight walk, but I would have to say they are quite nice, and it is easy being so close to the Great Hall." he said with a giggle. He remembered one time in particular that he had gone down and was near the front enterance where he passed some other kids sneaking out also. He thought it was funny, and yet somewhat peculiar to have so many students out breaking the rules, but then again he understood the reason a lot of them were out. He was ofter restless at nights and had to stay up a lot later than the rest of the students before he could even think of sleeping.

Kat smiled and gave Lauri an appreciative nod as he held the portrait open for her to enter the Hufflepuff common room first. Walking in through the open frame, she paused just inside so that she could hear the rest of what Lauri had to say. To be honest, the idea of a midnight walk was actually something that she quite adored...but still not as much as a good fly.
"It really is so much more simple being right here. Anyway, I'll just be a minute or two and then we'll meet back down here, yeh?" suggested the dark haired Hufflepuff girl with a bright smile. She didn't take nearly as long to change or get ready as a lot of girls did but that was mostly because she didn't feel like she had to worry about putting on makeup or anything like that. That was another one of those things that made her life much more simple. She gave Lauri another warm smile and nodded upwards toward the stairs that led to the girls' dorms.

Lauri walked inside the dorm behind Kat and the portrait hole closed. He listened to Kat and nodded at her as she headed off. He also traveled up the stairs and into his dorm room. There were many beds, his was right next to a big window and he peered out of it. It would be a nice day to be exercising compared to some of the other days he chose to work out.
He munched on the apple even faster as he searched his bags for his CD. He finally found it near the bottom of one of his bags and set it down on his bed. It was a plane CD and had the names of him and his friends on it. He smiled at it and reached back down into his bags once more. He pulled out another, ratty pair of pants and put them on instead of the newer pants that he had previously had on, he then took off his shirt in search for an old one that he could wear. He found one and slipped it on.
By this time, his apple was devoured and he threw it away in a trash can. He grabbed the CD and headed back down to the common room. He took a seat and stared at the CD, wondering how his friends were doing back at home.

Jogging up the staircase to the female dorms, she pulled the door open to see that two of the other seventh year girls were still in their PJs. Shaking her head, Kat went to her trunk and lifted the lid. Her black and white workout pants were right on top so she didn't have to dig through her things for it...but her shirt was something else. Sighing to herself, she started to push things aside until she found a top that she liked. It was a plain white t-shirt with the words: "Irish Jem" written in a deep, emerald green.
After changing her clothes, she took a drink from her water bottle and grabbed a towel off of the end of her bed. There wasn't anything special about the towel other than that it was the one she usually used when she did her warm-ups. Flinging it over her shoulder, she gave the two other girls a short nod before heading back out.
As she headed down the stairs, she hoped that Lauri hadn't been waiting too exceedingly long for her. Once at the bottom step, Kat noticed that he was already seated on one of the large, comfortable chairs. For a moment, she debated randomly tapping him on the shoulder but, then again, she didn't want to give him a scare. Instead, she walked around so that she was in sight. Giving him a warm smile, she softly appologized, "Sorry I took so long. I couldn't find my shirt. Turns out it was in the bottom of my trunk."

Lauri, who had been tapping on the back of the CD gentley looked up at Kat, then he jumped up from his seat anxiously and smiled. "It is okay," he said. "I have only been waiting a minute. I like that shirt," he added. He always liked people with good heritage. He headed back over to the portrait hole and opened it back up for her. He stepped outside, and then propped the door for her to come out.
"I could barely find any of my stuff; I'm a mess," he said as to make fun of himself. He wasn't the most organized of people, but he tried to keep straight. Wasn't working out too well for him at the moment. "So, to the pitch? Or jogging around the castle?" he asked curiously. He stepped aside. "You lead the way."
