"This romeo is bleeding, but you can't see his blood. It's nothing but some feelings..." sang Kat Finnigan in a very soft mumble as she walked through the upper level corridors. Considering classes had just let out, it was pretty empty in the castle but she honestly could not care any less. She was on a mission.
Friday, on the seventh floor, in front of the tapestry of the guy teaching trolls ballet, she played over and over in her head. It was Friday. She was on the seventh floor. Now to remember where the tapestry was. She'd been there before but she couldn't remember exactly how far down the corridor the painting was. As she walked, she went on to quietly sing, "...I'll be there till the stars don't shine, 'til the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme..."
Just as she started to finish the chorus, she noticed that she was already there. Katherine pondered where Lucinda was and what time she'd show up. This was going to be one of the best things ever. Her mum would surely flip after this little "magical make-over." Shorter green hair, green clothes, green and silver make-up. Yes, that would make her mum go mental!

Lucinda came down the corridor. She was wearing a black mini skirt, purple and black striped thigh high stockings, combat boots that were half unlaced, and a black jacket like top. She had a bag full of stuff and her wand was sticking out of her blonde hair that was in a half up half down style and was black with bright purple stripes in it. "Okay, are you ready yetti?" Lucinda asked as a door appeared and she swung it open.

Leaning back against the wall, Katherine hummed softly to herself. She couldn't help being extremely exicted about this. Normally, she absolutely hated make-overs. It was all about "fix this", "change that", "accessorize" and all of that boring and stupid stuff. Half the time, whoever was giving her the make-over was also trying to shove her into some lame dress or skirt. Kat HATED dresses and skirts.
Hearing footsteps coming down the corridor, she turned her attention toward the sound. It was the exact person who she'd been waiting for...and she had to admit, Lucinda looked...unique? It never did cease to amaze Kat just how different Ludinda's styles always were. "All ready when you are," she said, giving the Slytherin a salute and then giggling softly. It was more than obvious Kat was in a giddy and giggly mood...which usually happened when she got overly excited about something.

"Oh I'm ready lets go." Lucinda said and skipped into the room. She closed the door and tossed her bag of stuff onto a table and began taking the different items out and began placing them on the table. She then drew out a pair of socks and tossed them at Katherine and said, "Here ya go. I found a pair I never wore. Tags are still on them. You can have them." She then smiled.

Kat followed Lucinda into the room and watched intently as the Slytherin pulled all sorts of things out of her bag. Some looked far more interesting than others but Katherine remained silent while things were being prepared. To be honest, this was the very first make-over she'd EVER been looking forward to. It was exciting!
"Oye!" yelped Kat as the socks were tossed at her. Grabbing them out of the air, she replied, "Have I mentioned lately how awesome you are? You're the best! Really...thanks." She looked the socks over and smiled broadly. They'd match her shirt amazingly well. They were absolutely perfect.

Lucinda smiled and said, "I need to hit the Muggle Mall. I need some more accessories." She laughed and said, "If you went shopping with me it'll litterally be shop till you drop. You really need to let me meet your mom so me and her can have a fashion do's and don't argument. I can make her pull her hair out. Your Dad may not want his wife going batty though."

"Maybe over holiday, if you and your sister can slip away from home, we can arrange some sort of muggle shopping trip," Katherine suggested thoughtfully. She hadn't ever really been on any shopping trips outside of the magical world. Kat had gotten muggle gifts and such but never really done any shopping of her own. And the more she thought about it, the more she felt like she was probably missing out on some very interesting things...especially if Lucinda got all of her stuff from muggle malls.
Giggling a little, Kat shook her head in a very amused manner and went on to say, "My mum is bloody batty enough. I think you might just talk some sort of fashion sense into the woman if you two argued enough. Merlin! I'd love to just see that. You and my mum arguing about fashion, I mean." Just the thought alone was enough to make Katherine laugh lightly to herself.

Lucinda laughed and said, "Its a deal. I can sneak out at night and floo to the leaky cauldron through the fire place in the dungeon at Malfoy Manor. me and you can meat up there and take a cab to the mall. Just make sure you wear comfortable shoes unless your skilled in long term walking in heels. Like me." She laughed and said, "Alright girl prepare for a lucinda crazed make over." She giggled.

"Sounds abso brill! Think the first day of holiday would be our best bet? Or is there some other day that might work better for you?" asked Katherine, already excited and planning on it. She'd never been muggle shopping before and she had a feeling that she'd be up for the trip of a lifetime with Lucinda. Giggling lightly, she added, "I'll wear my workout trainers. They're the most comfortable shoes in the world. Perfect for tons of walking or running."
Kat almost couldn't believe how much she trusted Lucinda Malfoy but here she was, letting the girl completely take charge of a full out make-over. Laughing lightly, she said, "I think I'm prepared. All ready when you are...I think...maybe." Of course, she was only joking around. Kat had been ready for this since they'd first planned the drastic change.

"Any day works for me and I can inform my dear sister!" Lucinda said and grabbed her wand and said, "I'll sorten your hair then color it then style it. The we can work on make up and then nails!" Lucinda said waving her wand causing a table to change into a horse which she looked at and said, "Whoops." She then turned it back to a table and said, "Wasn't paying attention to what I was doing."

"Alright. Well, let me know which day is best...since you're the one sneaking out and all," the Hufflepuff girl suggested. Kat didn't have to slip out. She was positive that her dad would be a little apprehensive if he knew she was going shopping with a Malfoy but she also knew that she'd be able to convince him how cool Lucinda and her sister really were. Then, he'd have no problem with her going out to do some shopping in muggle London. The only thing that Kat didn't fancy was the idea of running into Chavs though. Just the mere thought of it made her groan softly to herself.
Setting herself down on an interestingly shaped chair that she hadn't realized was there moments ago, Katherine smiled and replied, "Okie doke. That sounds like a plan. Shorten...colour...style...and then everything else. Take it away maestro." Mentally preparing herself for the change, Kat sat up straighter so that Lucinda could get to work with shortening the length of her longer brown hair.

Lucinda pinned sections of Kathrine's hair up and begin shrinking the length magically and said, "I made sure I had my charms down pat for this last night. I used them on my room mate. She defiantly hates me now. I made her go bald with a tiny curl on top of her head." She laughed and dyed from dark to light shades of greed as she shorten and lengthen. She then began styling it with some gel and hair spray. She then said, "Now for make up."

Kat could actually feel her hair getting shorter as Lucinda used the temporary charm on it. She couldn't help giggling and saying, "Bald? Are you serious?! I'd probably hate you too if you made me look like that all for the sake of practice." Again, she laughed. She had to fight the urge to shake her head simply because she was supposed to sit still while her hair was being worked on.
Once her hair was finished, Katherine was practically dying to see what it looked like but she knew she probably had to wait for the grand unveiling after everything was done. Glancing over at the various make up items that Lucinda set out, she asked, "Reminde me. What did we settle on as far as make up goes? I pretty much forgot...you know, after being so excited about the drastic change with my hair and all."

Glitter powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascarre, and lipstick." Lucinda said as she began applying the make up the muggle way and touching it up by magic. She smiled as she finished and said, "NAIL TIME!" She shook her hail polishes and got out the nail jewels. She began to work and touched eveything up with magic and in jewels spelled IRISH on each hand of silver and green nails. She smiled and turned Kat to face a mirror and said, "ta-da!"

As Lucinda named off all the different things that she was going to do as far as make-up, Kat made a face. She didn't usually wear any make-up aside from the occasional lip gloss so this was going to be a HUGE change. Sitting perfectly still, she let Luci apply all of the make-up and fix it how she figured it would look best. Honestly, Katherine was completely trusting the Slytherin girl with the whole thing...partly because she was pure rubbish with fashion and make-up.
Once her face was all covered in the various things, she glanced down at her hands and set them out for Lucinda to tend to her nails. This part was something that she didn't really mind much. Kat had always put on a clear coat of nail polish as well as got her nails manicured whenever she got the chance. Playing Quidditch usually left one's hands pretty rough and disgusting unless proper care was taken. Though she was a complete tomboy, Kat did take especially good care of her skin, hands and nails.
Watching carefully, Katherine grinned at how amazing her nails were turning out. After everything was done, she cheerfully said, "I absolutely love the little touches on the nails. Spelling out IRISH...now that was a stroke of pure genius Luci." When she was turned to face a mirror, she was beyond just shocked at the reflection looking back at her. It took a second for her to recover from the initial surprise but when she did, a small grin began to form on her lips. "Abso-bloody-lutely BRILLIANT! My mum'll have a heart attack for sure!" she giggled entusiastically
