Roxy had to laugh as Cooper told her the night was still young, it was true it was. She probably shouldn't stress so much about Romeo not being here yet, he'd show. And in the mean time she'd just chill with her cousins and friends. She could spot James over by the refreshment table, and Remus being his usual sauve self, and Sirius scoping the crowd, but no sign of Jason yet.
Turning her attention back to Cooper she felt herself turn slightly red, "How do you know I have a date?" she asked. She'd made her brother promise not to give Romeo and hard time, and was slightly hopeful that he'd passed the information on the her other over protective relatives.
At his next question she glanced around a bit looking for Lizze. "no actually. Now that you mention it I don't think I've seen Liz in a while." she told him. She wondered were her cousin could be. It wasn't like most Weasley's to miss an event at Hogwarts.

Lucinda smirked and said, "Actually I think Damien Forgot about the dance."She sighed and said, "Oh well I'll get onto him for it." She said with a laugh. Taking a sip of her drink she pushed a small strand of hair from her face and looked around, "Ok this music is boring. Pick up the beat people, Get some real music going." She said with a laugh as she looked towards the orchastra.

It wasn't like most Weasley's to miss an event at Hogwarts. Cooper grinned at his cousin's blush. He hadn't really known of course, just a guess. A guess that was right. Oh, just a lucky guess. So, who is he?" he asked, without the intention of doing anything about it. Coop wasn't as protective over his cousins as he was his sisters, however; he was still protective of his family, all of them.
Coop sighed, as Roxy hadn't seen Lizzie. "Oh," he said, he tone matching his disappointment. "I don't think she'll be coming to the dance at all. She's going through this thing - she's been really quiet and reserved lately. I can't get a bloody thing out of her either." He was at least glad that his friend Katherine, was willing to talk to Lizzie. He hoped that it was just phase she was going through since it was like she had complete personality change.

Roxy gave Cooper a sideways glance when he said it had been a lucky guess, she wasn't sure if she should believe him or not. But to make things fair she was still goin to hit Fred when she saw him. "Well he's in Gryfindor. It's my friend Romeo Bixby. But i haven't seen him since i asked him really." she said getting a little bumbed out. She really wished Jason was here, or that one of her other friends would pop up.
Looking fully at Cooper now she registered the dissapointment and concern in his voice. Yes she hadn't seen LIzzie in a while, but that fact alone made her concerned, Liz was usually the one she would hang out with more cuz they were the same age. "Well if she isn't comming then that's her own choice, Coop. But ya the few glances I've gotten of her around the school make me think she's acting a bit strange. Maybe I'll corner her and talk to her about it, cuz come on Coop girls don't always tell their big brothers everything!" she told him winking. She wondered what was going on with Lizzie and vowed to try and find her tomorow.
Looking over at the refreshment table she saw Katherine glancing over at Cooper, "But I think someone else may wanna talk to you right now. Wanna head over to the refreshment table?" she asked him. James was also over there and she figured she should go say hi to him.

Romeo showed up a short while into the dance, a flustered look on his face. He scanned the room, sighing to himself. I can't believe I'm late... I've let Roxy down... When he saw her with Cooper, he smiled softly to himself. Wow, she looks stunning tonight...
Approaching her from behind he reached out, lightly placing his hand on her hip. "Roxy, may I have this dance?" As their eyes met, he smiled at her. "I'm sorry I'm late... but wow, you look absolutely amazing tonight" The light pink really brought out her darker hair, which had framed her beautiful smile.

Damien walked into the hall late, a little buzzed after going for fire whiskey earlier that day. He saw Lucinda talking with Kat Finnigan, but just shrugged to himself. Well, I'm here. Might as well make he best of it... He slowly walked towards the girls, smiling a bit at Lucinda in her flowing white gown. As he reached them, he heard just the last part of her statement. "Forget about it? I doubt it Luce. I wouldn't forget about this..." Damien lied, trying to seem cool about it.

She smiled and stood. Kissing him lightly on the lips she said, "Where have you been?" Tasting the whiskey on his breath she looked at him and said, "Have you been drinking?" looking at him quizzically she raised and eyebrow and said, "Hm? I'm waiting for an answer." Crossing her arms she tapped her foot on the ground impatiently. She never had patience. Wen she wanted something she wanted it at that very moment.

Katherine laughed lightly at Lucinda's comment about the music needing to be a little faster. Honestly, she didn't mind what the music was at the moment because her mind was more occupied on Quidditch and other things. Quidditch always did well to help her focus and feel a little more comfortable. The more she thought about it, the more she wished she could be in her Quidditch attire rather than some ruddy dress. At least then she would be a bit more at ease with the whole dance thing. Actually, as she continued to contemplate it, she wished that this was a match rather than a dance. Even if she made an error during a match, with everyone watching, it wasn't half as bad as being stuck in a dress.
Sighing softly to herself, she noticed that a boy was headed in the direction of the table. He seemed slightly familiar but not the sort that Kat would hang out with. It was only natural that he turned out to be Lucinda's date. Doing her best not to eavesdrop, the Hufflepuff girl let her gaze wander back out toward the dance floor. Perhaps there was someone else that she knew who wouldn't mind keeping her company for the time being. As long as she stuck around long enough to dance with Coop even just once, she could leave for the rest of the night. At least then she could change into something far more comfortable.
Her eyes lingered on the middle of the dance floor as she thought about everything. Another light sigh slid through her lips and she chanced one last glance toward Roxy and Cooper. It looked as though Roxy's date had arrived but they all looked to be rather involved with conversation so Katherine went back to dipping her index finger into her punch only to trace another Quidditch play lazily on the tablecloth.

Lauri watched everyone with a smile on his face. He slowly sipped at his drink as James approached and greeted him. He then looked out at the dance floor when James asked if he'd had danced yet.
"Nahh," he asid somewhat shamefully. "Nobody asked me to the dance, and I just don't seem like I know anyone anymore. It's weird!" He looked back at James and gave him a playful smirk. "You and Kat out there though, didn't look that fun." Lauri hoped that he didn't make the conversation between him and James awkward in any way, shape, or form.

Jason quietly got ready for the dance. He honestly wasn't going to go he was aware that in no way shape or form was he going to be dancing with anyone. He was forced to go by his best mates. He closed his eyes and walked to the great hall. He was amazed at it's transformation and in all was happy that he saw some of his friends there. He walked over to them and swore to himself that he would make himself have fun tonight.
He walked over to his friends and smiled and said "Hello all. To all the ladies you all look stunningly amazing tonight. You all must have amazing dates tonight. " though he wanted to see Roxy. He also knew that she had a date and he would try to avoid eye contact at all costs. He closed his eyes and smiled when he heard his name. He was honestly just wanted to have fun meet new people. So even though he wasn't planning on danceing. He was going to find a girl that would want to dance and go.

"Well sure, i supose i could allow that. And don't worry it's ok... thanx!" she told him turning back to Cooper quickly, and as she did she saw Jason walk in. Although he didn't look happy to be at the dance, he did look hot. Loosing track for a second she watched him walk over to James and them. "Coop, i'm gonna go dance with my date. I'll catch up to you later!" she told her cousin as she came back to herself.
Turning back to Romeo she smiled slightly, "Shall we?" she asked, trying desperately not to think about who Jason may have come with.

Yes she hadn't seen Lizzie in a while, but that fact alone made her concerned, Liz was usually the one she would hang out with more CZ they were the same age. "Well if she isn't coming then that's her own choice, Coop. But ya the few glances I've gotten of her around the school make me think she's acting a bit strange. Maybe I'll corner her and talk to her about it, cuz come on Coop girls don't always tell their big brothers everything!" she told him winking. Looking over at the refreshment table she saw Katherine glancing over at Cooper, "But I think someone else may wanna talk to you right now. Wanna head over to the refreshment table?" she asked him. James was also over there and she figured she should go say hi to him.
"Hmm, Romeo Bixbby..." Cooper mumbled, trying to remember the boy. Unfortunately, his memory failed him. He was sure he'd seen or heard of the boy at least once. He just couldn't put a face to the name. Ah, well, no need to fret if the boy was a Gryffindor.
Cooper shook his head at Roxy's suggestion to talk to Lizzie. "No, no. I've already got someone covering that. She's been more than a bit strange." The whole situation just gave Coop a sense of uselessness. He didn't know what to do about, or if he should even be worried. Because he was her older brother, he was going to worry. That was in his nature. He shook his head at Roxy's other comment that girls don't tell they big brothers everything. "You might not but, Beth has always told me everything and vice versa."
Tonight was not a night to be worrying about your little sister. Roxy was right, it was Lizzie's choice to come. Cooper would just be disappointed that she didn't show. He displayed that disappoint very outwardly, for a short time. "Huh? Who?" Cooper asked his cousin. His dark eyes went to the refreshment table and they landed upon Ms. Katherine Finnigan. "Oh, yes. I promised to save her a dance. Suppose I could go do that to avoid a most painful, torturous, death," he joked - mainly to momentarily rid himself of his feelings about Lizzie.
Rather quickly, a grin spread across Cooper's face. He made a mental note that Katherine looked extremely beautiful. Beautiful enough to take his breath away for a moment, until he realized he'd better breath before he passed out. With his trademark grin, Coop casually made he way toward her, weaving around the others in his pathway. She wasn't looking at him at the moment, so he seized the opportunity. Upon reaching her, Cooper took her hand, not doing something. He brought her hand to his lips and planted a smooth, light kiss on the top of it."M'lady Katherine, you are the most beautiful thing in the room," he said, and meaning it to boot. "Now, I believe I promised you a dance. That's is, if you can pry yourself away from them," He smiled, glancing at the others.

A forward reverse loop pass with a mixed spiral recovery. That was the play that Katherine had been drawing out on the table. The pink colour of her punch would have made her frown if it hadn't been for the proud smile over her Quidditch play. It wasn't one that the students of Hogwarts could really do, not that she had ever seen nor expected, but her Irish team had done it countless times. As her mind drifted to her beloved team, she smiled even more. It was almost like she was off in her own little world, one where she wasn't stuck in a dress and sitting pretty much alone at a table while the rest of the school socialized.
Katherine jumped slightly when she felt someone grab her hand. Her eyes quickly moving away from the table, she couldn't help smiling broadly at who she saw and what he'd done. "Always so suave, aren't you Coop?" she laughed lightly, watching him. She nearly giggled at his compliment and might have if she didn't expect that he was merely being his usual, flirty self. Her cheeks, however, very defiantly tinted a light shade of pink. Considering how much she despised dresses, his compliment at least made her feel a little bit better than she was earlier. She was, at least, all smiles now.
"Trust me, Minister Weasley, for you, I can pry myself away from nearly anything...minus Quidditch, of course," said Kat as she pushed herself up from the her seat at the table. Still smiling warmly, she glanced down at her hand, still in his, and asked, "Shall we then? I'll even let you lead too." This time, she couldn't hold back a light giggle after her lighthearted teasing.

Romeo's white tux was tailored just the week before, but that wasn't the best part. When Roxy told him she was wearing a pink dress, he had gone looking, and finally did find, a pink vest and tie. When she asked, he quickly nodded, leading her to the dance floor. "Yes, we shall" As they stepped out onto the dance floor, he met her eyes again. The smile she was giving him blew him away, he was barely able to speak. "Roxy... thank you for tonight... I'm a..." He happily sighed, changing his tune. "You look amazing..." The tune changed now though, to something much slower. Romeo gingerly pulled her closer, trying not to force himself upon her.

Cooper grinned, "Well, you know," he shrugged, "I wouldn't be me if I wasn't." Cooper was glad to see his compliment had her smiling. She was looking a bit bored and lonely, not to mention he did promise her a dance. It would feel like a really, really, big arse if he would have forgotten. He would never, ever forget something like that either.
Coop was getting really used to being called Minister Weasley. Katherine was really the only person who called him that but, it gave him a good push of motivation to do just that each time she said it. "Except Qudditch?" he questioned, with a twinkle in his eyes, "Hm, I'll have to work on that one." He merely smiled at her giggle, realizing himself that he was still holding her hand. As it was, she didn't seem to mind - so, he kept it. "You'll let me? I think the guy is always suppose to lead the pretty lady," he teased her.
He took her hand and tucked it in the crook of his arm, leading her out to the dance floor. Coop's eyes flicked around from face to face. He thought, more like hoped Lizzie might have shown while his attention had been occupied with Kat, however; he didn't see her. Coop let out a small, disappointed sigh. He vowed to himself to get to the bottom of his sister's problems.
