Letting Lucinda lead the way on this little shopping excursion, Katherine followed along eagerly. She listened as Luce went on about needed some sort of black hole for all of the stuff that she tended to buy. This, of course, made Kat giggle a little since she knew her mum was the same way. Thank Merlin for bottomless storage containers! katherine, on the other hand, wasn't quite so bad with how much she owned and took along with her everywhere. As long as she had an outfit or two, her warm-ups and all of her Quidditch gear, she was perfectly fine.
"Um...how about we pick a random shop to start with," said Katherine thoughtfully in answer to Lucinda's question. Kat didn't really know where to go first so picking a random place was probably the best bet. If they got any ideas for places they wanted to shop in later, they could always change their tactics. And, since Kat Finnigan was all about tactics, she figured it sounded like the best idea.

Lucinda nodded. As the mall came into view she walked in the doors and said, "Ah the smell of shopping." She laughed and said, "Ok now start looking, If its intrested shout the name so we can go there. Of coarse I doubt either of us is ntrested in the guy filled video game store and you'll have to keep me cleared of the book store other wise we'll never get out of here." She giggled and began skipping down the large hallway.

Katherine followed Lucinda away from the regular Diagon Alley area and into the enormous mall. As soon as the doors opened, Kat could smell foods, various material items and just...everything. Luce was right, it was the smell of shopping. Laughing lightly, she took a quick look around at the few shops nearest to where they were. At the mention of video games and books, her grin widened. Kat had only played a few video games before, with her muggle cousin Edwin, but she adored it really. Well, not all of the games were fun because he had a few with tonnes of killing and that but she liked the sport ones and tactical games. Katherine absolutely loved good books too. So she had to agree with Lucinda about not going into any book shops.
"So what types of shops are we looking for? Clothes? Shoes? Anything in specific we're looking for?" she questioned very curiously, her brown eyes still scanning the numerous stores. There were a few signs that seemed to catch her eye but there wasn't much inside those shops that she could possibly be interested in. Instead, she'd wait for Lucinda to let her know what they were in search of to start with.

Everything and Anything!" Lucinda said, "Time till shop till we drop." She continued walking and said, "If you see somewhere we can go don't be shy! Just say it. Besides my favorite store is almost on the other side lodged between Victoria Secret and Abercrombie. Hot Topic. A Goth's and Emo's heaven." She laughed and said, "I really don't know why they put it between a langerie store and a preps heaven."

Kat grinned broadly and thought all about which shops she wanted to stop into and have a look around. Her eyes sparking with excitement and glee, she glanced into the windows of each shop. The more she thought about it, the more eager she was about going into just about every single one...just to look. If there was something that she wanted, then she'd buy it but if not, they could always move on to the next shop. Thoughtfully, she suggested, "How about we wander through them all...just to burn time and calories?"
As Lucinda stated where her favourite shop was located, Katherine couldn't help getting silly little ideas. That's all they were though...silly little ideas...nothing more. Shaking the thoughts from her head, she asked, "So then...where to first? Do you want to start on this side or the other?"

"We can wander through all like you said, "Sounds like a good way to burn time and lots of calories." She said Moving towards the shop that was the first, "Lets start here." She headed towards the door and moved past some people and into the store. Looking around she went straight for the acessories. Her favorite part of all clothes. She looked around idly and then moved to the clothes.

Glad that her idea got the full approval of her shopping partner in crime, Katherine followed Lucinda into the first shop on the left side of the mall. It was full of all sorts of clothes, accessories and people. Some of them seemed quite rude and others not so much. Kat couldn't help but frown a little as she heard some really obnoxious boys making commentary. Oddly enough, she was tempted to hex them into oblivion but it would only get her and Luce into trouble for being out of school without permission. Hence, she decided to ignore the prats and head further into the back of the shop.
"Hmm...interesting..." she mumbled to herself as she sorted through various pieces of clothes. Katherine liked acquiring new outfits but she wasn't entirely into fashion like her mother was. If it was comfortable enough and allowed her to do plenty of flying then she'd probably wear it...just as long as it wasn't pink or entirely tacky. This tended to get her mum in an uproar half the time but that didn't matter much to Kat.

Lucinda looked around and found a spaghetti strap knee length dress that puffed out slightly. It was white with black polka dots. "Ooo La La." She said smiling and taking it off the rack. Looking at it she checked the price and said, "Just in my price range." It was 42.00 dollars. She held it on her arm and began looking for shoes to go with it. Finding a pair of black wedged heels she smiled and grabbed a box in her size and went to find some jewlery. Kat never would fancy dresses and skirts but that didn't mean there weren't other things she could wear to still be a little feminine. It wasn't as though she always had to be a complete and utter tomboy. Pulling a rather cute top from its rack, she inspected the item before frowning. "Of course...too bloody small," grumbled the Hufflepuff as she put it back where she'd taken it from. That was possibly one of the most annoying things, aside from dresses and shopping with her mother.
"I think I'm going to look at the jeans," Katherine sighed, giving up her attempt at finding something a little more 'girly' than most of what she wore. Yes, she did enjoy shopping...but she lacked patience with it. If the shop didn't have what she wanted in exactly her size then she tended to give up completely and stick to her usual style...where she was positive they had something that would fit her comfortably.

"Look three shirts to the left they should have your size in that shirt. Unless its been taken or moved." She said moving towards her friend and looking on the rack. When a store clerk came over she said, "We're shopping go away you annoying bitch!" Lucinda said aggrivatily to the clerk." Sighing heavily she said, "Thats the one thing I hate about shopping." Walking towards the pants she looked around and found a pair of stone washed jeans with holes in them, "Kat. Did you wear these and then return them?" She joked withe a laugh.

"Three to the left?" Kat repeated in a questioning tone as she glanced over toward the left. At first she'd doubted whether Lucinda actually knew what she was talking about. The instant her chocolate brown eyes landed upon the exact shirt she'd just been looking at but in a larger size, Katherine's mouth dropped open. "Bloody hell Luce! One would think you lived in this place to know it so well," she laughed, pulling one of the tops off its rack
After her newly acquired shirt, all Kat needed was the perfect pair of jeans. Now that she had a more 'girly' type shirt, she wasn't just going to get her usual plain jeans...like she pretty much always did. Not this time. This time, she was going to get something with a little more flair. As she began to look, she heard Lucinda and let out a laugh. "Oye! You've caught me," the Hufflepuff joked back, "Had to bring them back though...practically fell apart just after wearing them once."

Lucinda laughed back and said, "Well when your a shopper like me you learn the stores organization styles." She shrugged and tossed the torn jeans down and went over and found a pair of camoflauge short shorts. "Now I just need a black top." She began looking around and said, "I need a small. I prefer my shirts skin tight. Shows my figure better." She found what she was looking for and said, "I know what would make your mom want to murder you Kat. You should get a tattoo or your bellybutton pierced."

"Oh I'm a shopper alright. Ask me where anything in Quality Quidditch suppies is and I can tell you with my eyes closed," said Katherine proudly. She spent more time in that one store than all the rest put together. Once or twice, she volunteered to help stock things over summer holiday when she was stuck in England and had nothing better to do. That was the fourth option on her list of jobs if the others didn't work out. First was Quidditch. Second: teaching Quidditch and flying. The third thing was working at the ministry in the department of Games and Sport...but she really wasn't too keen on that except that she'd probably get to see Coop every day.
Hearing what Lucinda needed, Kat gave up her search for the perfect pair of jeans so that she could help her Slytherin friend find a black top. "Yeah...you can do that sort of thing," she laughed lightly, "Skin tight works for you..." The mere thought of wearing something 'tight' actually made Kat shudder a little before she noted that Luce had found what she was looking for. "Oye! No piercings or tattoos for me, thanks. It might make my mum go psycho but I'm not the sort ot have anything like that...so I'll have to pass," Kat told her honestly

"Really. I was thinking about getting a tattoo. I don't know if Damien will like it or not. What do you think." She asked lookin at Kat as she found a top and said, "OYE! I think this shirts got the wrong tag! I know this think ain't no Bloody $20 bucks you cheating lyinh hag!" She screamed at the register lady who looked shocked at what came out of her mouth.

Katherine thought a moment or two about Lucinda getting a tattoo before she nodded slightly and replied, "I don't know whether your boyfriend will like it or not but the real question is whether you really want one or not. If you want one then go for it." Even though Kat wasn't keen on doing anything permanent like that to herself, she did believe that everyone was free to express themselves however they wanted. If that meant getting covered with tattoos and having piercings then it was their perogative.
As Lucinda started to scream at the woman at the register, Kat took a slight step back and resumed looking for a pair of jeans. She felt absolutely horrible for the clerk but there wasn't much she could do aside from not give Luce a better reason to get annoyed. As such, she stayed out of the way. It was far safer to keep looking for pants than to get in the middle of it anyway.
